Beneath the Upper City

No one knows when it began—

But the world was split in two.

Those in the Upper City live in the sunlight, on vast lands, warm and free.

Those in the Lower City survive in a cram...

Chapter 389 My Life is Worthless

There are still five days until Peace Day.

Wild Wind Pass.

The junction of the west and north cities.

Dozens of cars were parked outside a small building.

A group of people stood by the car, ready for action.

Inside the small building, two people sat opposite each other at a round table.

"General Grasager, I think there's really no point in continuing this conversation."

Qi Huan crossed his legs and smiled at the expressionless Grasag in front of him. "You won't give up the [Path of Grace], and I'm determined to win the mission I've been given. So no matter how we talk, we won't get a result that satisfies both of us."

"We're already planning a war. General Glasag, please tell Commander Ernst to prepare early! Otherwise, we might catch you off guard and you might refuse to obey."

Qi Huan's words were very arrogant.

But Grasager knew that this was just a negotiating tactic.

If he really wanted to start a war, Qi Huan was not crazy, so how could he tell him in advance?

"I'm not meeting you today for the [Path of Grace]."

Grasager spoke in a low voice.

The tone of his voice, like his expression, was calm.

"Oh? Then I don't understand. General Grasag asked me out. Is it to have a drink and get closer to each other?"

Qi Huan raised his eyebrows and smiled.

Glasgow is clearly not the type to beat around the bush.

"A friend of Commander Ernst is west of your city."

"oh?"

Qi Huan looked puzzled. "Commander Ernst's friend? What friend? His girlfriend?"

"His name is Ning Fan."

Glasag stated his purpose directly: "Commander Ernst really wants to meet him."

"oh."

Qi Huan nodded slightly, then smiled: "Then let Commander Ernst come himself. Don't worry, I will definitely treat him with good wine and delicious food!"

Glasag's face darkened.

He was sure that Qi Huan understood what he meant.

"Commander Ernst hopes Mr. Qi can hand Ning Fan over."

Glasag stated his intentions in a more direct way.

He didn't want to give Qi Huan another chance to play dumb.

However, Qi Huan frowned after hearing this.

"Is this what Commander Ernst meant?"

"right."

"oh."

Qi Huan tilted his head: "What does that have to do with me?"

Grasag frowned.

Qi Huan laughed again: "Your Commander Ernst doesn't want me to compete with you for the [Path of Grace]! What? Do I have to obey him in everything? What kind of blood relationship does he have with me?"

"Mr. Qi, watch your words!"

Glasag glared angrily, "Commander Ernst is not someone of your stature who can slander him!"

"I have my own mouth. I can say whatever I want. If you don't like it...just find a way to make me shut up!"

Qi Huan sneered, "The fact that you and I can sit at this negotiation table means that we are in the same position in our respective positions. Whatever my status is, your status is the same!"

"Don't act like you're superior to me! I don't buy it!"

"Besides, we have no friendship, only hostility. Why should I follow your leader's wishes?"

"You're... quite funny."

Qi Huan stood up directly and didn't intend to continue talking nonsense with Grasag.

"We can pay you enough!"

Seeing Qi Huan about to leave, Glasag suddenly said in a deep voice, "Let's not talk about the [Path of Grace] for now! As long as you can hand Ning Fan over to us, we won't let you do this in vain."

Qi Huan stood still.

He turned slowly and looked at Grasag with a smile.

"How much can you give?"

"That depends on how much you want!"

Grasag sneered.

Qi Huan scratched his head and thought for a long time.

Suddenly, he smiled.

"Give me the [Path of Grace] and I can consider it."

Grasag's smile froze on his face.

Qi Huan laughed even more happily.

"I've finished my price list! Can you go back and discuss it with your Commander Ernst?"

Bang!

Glasag jumped up and slammed the table!

"Qi Huan! You have no sincerity at all..."

"yes!"

Qi Huan interrupted Grasager: "I just don't have any sincerity! What's wrong?"

Qi Huan's face darkened.

"If you want Ning Fan, either have Ernst come and talk to me in person! Or, send someone to the west of the city to capture him!"

"But I can't guarantee that those of you who come in will get out alive!"

Having said that, Qi Huan stopped talking nonsense and walked straight out the door.

"Qi Huan!!"

Grasag suddenly growled.

"what?"

Qi Huan turned his head to the side, a disdainful smile on his lips: "You want to warn me not to be shameless, right?"

Qi Huan's smile was full of mockery.

"I'm just being shameless, so what?"

"You're a general after all, don't yell at me all the time. It's a disgrace to your status."

"If you want to do it, just do it. At worst, I'll give you my life!"

Qi Huan looked at Grasag, his eyes...

With a bit of madness.

"One life for another, I'm making a profit."

"After all, General Grasag's life is precious!"

"And my life..."

“I found it.”

"You guys are going to replace the [Mudworm]?"
