Chapter 213: School Assistance: Feelings Within

The smile on Shen Qiqi's face froze instantly, as if she had been cast under a spell of immobilization.

She had just been immersed in the joy of the children cheering, as if she saw the hope of the school's success. As a result, Principal Huang's words "funding may change" directly poured a bucket of cold water on her, leaving her feeling chilled to the bone.

She felt like her heart was on a roller coaster, going up and down, so exciting that she was a little dazed.

"What? Changes? How could there be changes? Didn't we agree on this before?" Shen Qiqi's voice was filled with disbelief. She widened her eyes and stared at Principal Huang, hoping to find even the slightest hint of a joke on his face.

Principal Huang had a bitter face, the wrinkles at the corners of his eyes almost squeezed together, like a deflated ball. He said weakly, "I don't know either. The higher-ups just told me that... they said they need to re-evaluate... and they might have to reduce funding..."

"Re-evaluate? Reduce funding?" Shen Qiqi felt a surge of anger rushing to her head. This was simply a true portrayal of "the pot comes from the sky while the person is sitting at home."

What is this group of people doing? Do they really want to make the school "return to the pre-liberation era overnight"?

She took a deep breath and forced herself to calm down, but found that things were not that simple.

She turned back into the room and began pacing back and forth, her brow furrowed like a wild animal trapped in a maze.

The air in the room seemed to be frozen, so stuffy that it was hard to breathe.

Just then, the door was gently pushed open and Lu Qing walked in.

He saw Shen Qiqi's frown and knew what happened without asking.

He walked to Shen Qiqi, held her in his arms, and used his warm embrace to dispel the uneasiness in her heart.

"Don't worry, I'm here." Lu Qing comforted softly. He could feel the anxiety in Shen Qiqi's heart, but his voice was like a clear spring, slowly pouring into her heart, slowly calming her irritable mood.

Shen Qiqi leaned in Lu Qing's arms, feeling his strong arms, and her heart was slightly relieved.

"Alas, it's true that 'disaster strikes when you're just sitting at home'. This kind of thing happened just as the plan was getting started. It's really a headache."

"If it comes, we must deal with it. If the enemy comes, we will fight with soldiers; if the water comes, we will block it with earth. There are always more solutions than problems."

In the next few days, Shen Qiqi and Principal Huang rushed around for funding, but the results were not satisfactory.

To make matters worse, new problems arise.

The day when the educational experts came to the school for guidance happened to conflict with the course schedules of some teachers.

Principal Huang was as anxious as an ant on a hot pan. He paced back and forth in his office, scratching his head and muttering, "What should I do? What should I do?"

Seeing Principal Huang's anxious look, Shen Qiqi shook her head helplessly, "Principal Huang, you won't solve the problem if you keep walking around like this. Calm down first and let me see."

She took the schedule from Principal Huang and studied it carefully.

Her eyes wandered over the schedule, her mind racing, thoughts colliding in her head.

A few minutes later, the corners of her mouth rose slightly, and a bold idea formed in her mind.

She picked up a pen and began to make corrections on the schedule. The originally chaotic schedule became orderly again in her hands.

"Principal Huang, do you think this will work?" Shen Qiqi handed the revised schedule to Principal Huang with a confident smile on her face.

Principal Huang took the schedule and looked through it carefully. His frown gradually relaxed, and a look of disbelief appeared on his face. "This...this...it seems like this change might actually work! It's really like 'when you're at the end of your rope, there's always a new way out!'"

Shen Qiqi looked at his surprised expression and just smiled slightly. Then she looked at the empty office again. She turned to Lu Qing and said, "Tomorrow, we need a special corner." Lu Qing looked at her, raised his eyebrows, and had a meaningful smile on the corner of his mouth.

Shen Qiqi had a sly smile on her lips, and her eyes were sparkling with intelligence. She was like a female general commanding thousands of troops, and she was giving orders, "Come on, I'm going to do something big today!" She turned around and moved an old wooden table out of the office, and found a few discarded wooden boards from the warehouse, and opened up a "temporary art corner" next to the school playground.

She wiped the wooden table clean with deft hands, and wrote the words "Inspiration" on the board with chalk. She picked up a few discarded clay pots and inserted a few wild flowers in them, which immediately gave the place a bit of artistic atmosphere.

She took out some colored chalks and some paper from her bag and placed them on the table, and a simple but lively art corner was completed.

The warm sunshine shines on the art corner, the breeze blows, the wild flowers sway, and the air is filled with a faint fragrance, making people feel extremely comfortable.

Shen Qiqi looked at her masterpiece, her heart filled with a sense of accomplishment, and she couldn't help but hum a little tune.

Her mood was as bright as the sunshine.

Before she could recover from the shock, the children buzzed around her like a swarm of curious little bees.

They opened their eyes wide and looked at this suddenly appearing "new world" with curiosity.

"Wow, what is this?" A little boy wearing a red scarf asked curiously, pointing at the colored chalk on the table.

The other children also started talking at once, their little faces flushed with excitement.

Shen Qiqi looked at the children's innocent smiles, and her heart was warm. She squatted down and said gently, "This is the art corner. You can draw and write here and use your imagination!" When the children heard this, they immediately cheered and rushed to pick up the chalk and doodle on the wooden board.
