The night spread like ink, shrouding the bustling little village during the day in silence.

However, the tranquility was soon broken by the sudden sound of a car engine.

A black car, like a bull breaking into a porcelain shop, violently tore through the night sky of the village and stopped in front of the village committee.

Several men in suits and ties got out of the car. They had stern faces and sharp eyes, and exuded a strong aura that kept strangers away. They were out of place in this simple village.

"Lu Qing..." Shen Qiqi's heart sank suddenly, and an ominous premonition arose spontaneously.

She held Lu Qing's hand tightly, her fingertips turning slightly white.

She knew that the arrival of these people was definitely not a good thing.

In the village committee's meeting room, the atmosphere was so solemn that it seemed as if water could be squeezed out of it.

Shen Qiqi and Lu Qing stood side by side, their eyes as sharp as torches, scanning the uninvited guests in front of them.

The representatives from the cities were all arrogant, as if they were here to bestow a blessing on these country bumpkins.

"Everyone," one of the middle-aged men wearing gold-rimmed glasses cleared his throat, his sharp voice piercing the silence in the conference room, "We are very interested in your village's unique projects and hope to develop further cooperation."

They said it was cooperation, but the conditions they proposed made Shen Qiqi furious.

They made exorbitant demands, not only wanting to divide up the village's project results, but also trying to control the village's economic lifeline. This was simply naked plunder.

"Are you guys trying to cooperate, or are you just robbing me?" Shen Qiqi sneered, a hint of sarcasm in her tone.

"Little girl, please be careful with your words." A middle-aged man with slicked-back hair glanced at Shen Qiqi coldly, with a hint of contempt in his eyes, "It's your honor that we are interested in your small village."

Shen Qiqi felt a surge of anger rushing to her head, as if her chest was filled with explosives that could explode at any time.

She held Lu Qing's hand tightly, feeling the warmth and strength in his palm, and calmed down a little.

The surrounding villagers also looked worried. They were not fools and could naturally see that these guys from the city had bad intentions.

Is the project that they worked so hard to build going to be taken away so easily by others?

A depressing atmosphere spread in the conference room. The air seemed to be frozen, making it hard to breathe.

Lu Qing felt Shen Qiqi's anger. He held her hand tightly and conveyed comfort and support with his eyes.

He knew that his woman was not someone who would give in easily.

Just when everyone thought Shen Qiqi was about to explode, she suddenly laughed, and her laugh was a little weird.

"Cooperation is not impossible." Shen Qiqi's voice sounded nonchalant, but it carried a hint of elusive meaning. "However, I have a small suggestion..."

Shen Qiqi smiled sweetly, with a cunning curve at the corner of her lips, as if a little fox was brewing some wonderful ideas.

"Since you all think so highly of our village's project, how about we have a friendly match?"

The villagers looked at each other, confused.

These city people came with great momentum, and it was obvious that they wanted to steal things, so how did it suddenly become a friendly match?

An atmosphere of doubt and curiosity spread throughout the village, rippling like ripples.

Lu Qing shook Shen Qiqi's hand in return, his eyes full of trust and support.

He knew that his wife never did anything without being sure.

"Friendly match?" The man with gold-rimmed glasses pushed his glasses up on his nose with a look of disdain. "What friendly match? Little girl, don't try to act silly. We don't have time to play such a boring game with you."

"Hey, don't be so anxious," Shen Qiqi calmly pulled out a document from her bag. "Our friendly match isn't just any ordinary competition, it's... a skills competition!" She paused, deliberately whetting their appetite. "Of course, the content of the competition will be skills related to our project."

As soon as Shen Qiqi finished speaking, the conference room exploded.

The villagers were talking about it, some were excited, some were worried, and some were confused.

This city guy is dressed in a suit and tie, and it's obvious that he has never done farm work. How can we compare?

"Ridiculous!" The greasy-haired man slammed the table and stood up angrily. "Are you kidding us? Who are we? Who are you? You want us to compete with you in these things..."

"What? You don't dare to compete?" Shen Qiqi raised an eyebrow, her eyes full of provocation, "Or do you mean that you have no real ability at all and just want to get something for nothing?"

The greasy-haired man was choked by Shen Qiqi's words and was speechless, his face turning pale and blue.

Representatives from several other cities also looked unhappy. When had they ever been humiliated like this?

"Okay, let's compete!" The man with gold-rimmed glasses gritted his teeth and agreed.

He just didn't believe that these country bumpkins could come up with any tricks.

"Then it's a deal," Shen Qiqi smiled like a cat that had stolen some fish, "Tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock, at the village square, see you there."

The man with gold-rimmed glasses snorted coldly and walked away. Several other representatives followed him and left the meeting room.

"Qiqi, what do you want to do?" After those people left, Lu Qing finally couldn't help but ask.

Shen Qiqi smiled mysteriously, leaned close to Lu Qing's ear, and whispered, "You'll know tomorrow..."
