This is a little trick he learned in previous sparring sessions. It allows him to temporarily suppress Thornheart's counterattack when he is injured, and then unleash it all at the same time when the opportunity arises.

His forbearance and pretense all along were for this moment.

He grabbed Chi Bofei by the back of the neck with one hand, and with the other hand he grabbed the arm holding the blade. Ignoring the dagger stuck in his chest, he twisted and pulled upwards, tearing off Chi Bofei's arm, and blood splattered everywhere.

Severely injured, Chi Bofei screamed in excruciating pain, "Impossible! How could you hurt me! How dare you hurt me! I am the savior of Blue Star, you can't kill me! Ah!!!"

As Chi Bofei screamed at the top of his lungs, his body began to become illusory again, flickering incessantly in place.

Wang Zheng gripped his neck tightly, casually tossed aside his arm, and without hesitation, punched him in the head. Under Wang Zheng's immense force, Chi Bofei's head exploded like a watermelon with a "bang," instantly killing him beyond any doubt.

Wang Zheng slowly pulled the dagger from his chest and cast several Holy Light spells on himself to fully restore his stamina.
