Lin Yue has been having a recurring dream recently. One scene depicts the global apocalypse arriving on June 15th. The other scene shows her tied up and bound, suspended in a warehouse with over te...
Looking at the pistol with its magazine already loaded, Lin Yue really wanted to ask:
Didn't you just say that the other side had more people and that your pistol couldn't hold many bullets? How come you can pull out a magazine full of bullets now?
Lin Yue didn't get the answer she wanted. She took the pistol, put it in her down jacket pocket, and went out.
She had tried shooting once at the club before. She wasn't very skilled, but she was good at intimidating people. If the crossbow couldn't control the situation later, she would just fire a shot and see if she hit it or not.
Once outside, Lin Yue opened the security door directly.
There were about twenty people in the hallway outside the iron gate. Two people at the entrance had been knocked unconscious by electric shocks. Almost everyone in this building had come, along with people from other buildings.
Apart from the two who had just been electrocuted, the two people who were now crowding in front were wearing rubber gloves and trying to pry open the door.
Seeing this, Lin Yue didn't say a word and fired two arrows at the person trying to pry open the door, giving the person outside no time to react.
The arrow pierced through their arms and became lodged inside.
"ah……"
"ah……"
Two cries of pain echoed through the corridor, with faint echoes.
"Lin Yue, you filthy bitch, how dare you hurt someone!" The speaker was Xiao Xiao, one of the people who broke into the apartment, living on the seventh floor of Unit 2 where Lin Yue lived.
Xiao Xiao's family has six members, and it's unknown whether the four younger children survived when the temperature dropped.
He just sits at home waiting for his wife to serve him, doing nothing. He earns three or four thousand a month at his job, but only gives his wife five hundred and acts like he's supporting her. He has a terrible temper...
The other person who was shot was also from the seventh floor. His name was Zhang Yi, and he was a good-for-nothing who had been sponging off his parents. After his parents passed away, he spent his days stealing chickens and dogs and did nothing productive.
However, although this person was a scoundrel, he knew he couldn't afford to lose his house, so no matter what he did, he didn't sacrifice it.
In Lin Yue's eyes, such a person...
He's still incompetent, just in a rather unique way!
Lin Yue snorted coldly upon hearing this: "Hmph! I'm beating up scoundrels like you. You shameless people try to break into my house, and you expect to be respected?"
Logically speaking, she could also be considered a member of the "parasitic generation," but before this, she had a proper life plan and a legitimate job, unlike him...
"You brat, stop talking nonsense. Don't you know why we broke in?" the old woman from the eighth floor shouted from outside.
"I don't know," Lin Yue said matter-of-factly.
"You..." The old woman was furious. "Since you don't know, then you should know that this weather is because of you... Ah..."
"If you can't speak properly, then don't speak at all." Lin Yue quickly took out a slingshot from her pocket and gave the old woman a slingshot. Her lips immediately swelled up. "Old woman, why don't you say that the weather is like this because you and your stupid son are having an incestuous relationship? Stop babbling about others all day long."
"What nonsense are you spouting? Be careful, or I'll sue you for defamation!" The old woman panicked.
"Go ahead and sue me. I'll be waiting here." Lin Yue smiled.
This is the biggest joke of the century; they even went to sue her.
That said, this old woman really lived a long time; she survived everyone else's deaths. It's true what they say, evil lives on.
"Lin Yue, let's not talk about these things. Let's talk about how you've been using public resources."
Li Hong stood in the middle of the corridor, not daring to go forward. He had witnessed Lin Yue's ruthlessness before. Now, taking advantage of the crowd, he thought that Lin Yue couldn't possibly hit him from a distance, so he spoke up.
Public resources?
Seeing that no one dared to move, Lin Yue packed up her things, leaned against a wall, and watched them leisurely.
Life was so boring that she suddenly wanted to hear them argue about how she had been wasting public resources.
Seeing Lin Yue's attentive demeanor, Li Hong felt incredibly proud. He thought Lin Yue, who never listened to anyone else, had actually given up force because of him, so he puffed out his chest.
"Lin Yue, with the nation in peril, what has enabled our Great Xia Dynasty, with its five thousand years of history, to stand strong? It's unity, of course. Now, in this time of national crisis, we should unite even more to fight this disaster." Li Hong wanted to launch into another long speech, but his wife pinched him, signaling him to get to the point. Li Hong's stomach growled in response, and he changed the subject, continuing, "As a graduate student, you should know that everything outside is a public resource, and public resources belong to everyone. You and your husband carried so much back, taking everyone's things, leaving everyone without food. Shouldn't you share it with everyone? After all, it's because of you that we're starving."
"Oh! You can just go and carry it." Lin Yue replied meaningfully, casually playing with her nails.
Where did this innocent little white lotus come from? This righteous and awe-inspiring demeanor! What kind of time is this to try and morally blackmail her? Does she really think she's some innocent little flower that he can easily fool?
Seeing Lin Yue agree with him, Li Hong became even more smug. Ignoring her next sentence, he couldn't help but squeeze forward two steps: "Besides, your family has a generator, which is a public resource. It should be used to benefit the whole building, not to guard against us. As a graduate student trained by the country, you should understand this principle better than us. Now, before things get too serious, you should quickly take out the things and let everyone share them. Only then will you be worthy of the country's training and the title of graduate student."
That's it?
"It's gone!"
Lin Yue straightened up and looked steadily at Li Hong: "What you said makes a lot of sense."
"You stinky bitch... Lin Yue, you're right, why don't you hurry up and get us some food?" The old woman on the eighth floor saw an opportunity and her eyes lit up.
Lin Yue nodded: "Wait a minute, I'll go get it right away. Canglang, guard the door!"
