Chapter 14 The History of Magic at the Magic University, Saint...

“Oko is the name of a witch, and the major I applied to at Oko University is Comprehensive Witch Studies.”

The witch is what Oko calls herself, because she saved that world and left the seeds of magic in that weak world, giving everyone the opportunity to come into contact with magic, instead of letting magic become a game for the nobility. And this is the only school where everyone can learn magic in peace, so it is uniformly named Oko: Oko Magic Academy, Oko Women's Magic Academy, Oko University.

Enid recounted the school's history in detail, and Tim, who was somewhat interested in this topic, asked curiously, "What's the difference between the Arco Magic Academy and the Arco Girls' Magic Academy?"

"Because the former is a comprehensive magic high school, while the latter is only for girls. The Aoko Girls' Magic Academy is an extremely difficult school to get into because all the students here are qualified to take the witch exam. Witchcraft is the most difficult subject, encompassing all other subjects, so very few people can get in, and even fewer are qualified to take the exam. Therefore, even the Queen must graduate from the Aoko Girls' Magic Academy and then take the entrance exam for Aoko University."

As she spoke, Enid pulled out a history book and smoothly projected the illustrations and text into the air. The book depicted the history of the neighboring world and the Oko School located in the world rift. This was the masterpiece of the Oko Witch. She created the world rift and stabilized it with special power, allowing magic and knowledge to exist within it, and enabling people from other worlds to enroll in school through other means.

"So, do we still have their students here?"

"In our world, there are only two... me and another one. I'm sorry I can't tell you her name because her identity is very special. But don't worry, whether they come or not, because the barriers between worlds are very strong, and our world does not allow them to come."

She clenched her fist as if trying to confirm something, but Bruce was clearly a little uneasy about it. So, almost instantly, he came up with a brilliant reason, and winked at Enid, "So, as a father, can I have the honor of sending my daughter to school?"

"..."

Enid fell silent. She looked at Bruce, meeting his deep blue eyes with an indescribable expression. Bruce was taken aback for a moment, and was about to say something to ease the tension when Enid nodded. "You do have that. Actually, I've always hoped someone would take me to school, even though that's something only kids brag about."

But according to her bloodline's true age, she might be considered a child, right? So she can be a little willful, right? Enid was a little unsure, even a little apprehensive, but it was clear that she wasn't good at hiding her feelings, so everyone could see it.

“Hey, if you don’t mind, you can have the biggest wedding party ever. I bet they’d all be happy to come with you, right?” Dick spoke first. He even sat right next to her, letting her smell his familiar scent—the scent of the shower gel she had given him back in the forest.

She tried her best to ignore the smell, so she widened her eyes. Stephanie raised her hand first, "Let me tell you, I have no objection, in fact, I'm quite looking forward to it, and you are too, right?" After saying that, she glanced at Tim, who nodded helplessly, clearly agreeing with his girlfriend's opinion.

As for Red Hood, well, he wasn't there, but he heard the voice message: "Sounds interesting, okay?" There was a hint of reluctance in his voice. Damian... Damian agreed. He turned his head to look at the little hedgehog with a bow on his shoulder. "For Annie's sake, I agree."

Barbara and Cassandra agreed, partly because of the wedding arrangements, but more importantly because they were very curious about the magic of the other world, and they wouldn't feel at ease without personally testing the world barrier. Batman was even arranging for the specific location of the barrier and for the Justice League or something to increase the monitoring and security measures in the area they regularly patrolled.

He always has the most contingency plans to ensure safety.

"Very well, the little magical story is over." Enid tried hard to suppress the obvious joy in her heart, but in the end she couldn't hold it in. "Great, it seems that I can finally be someone others envy."

“You always will be, I promise.” Dick’s eyes sparkled excessively as he looked at her, making her blush slightly, feeling a little uncomfortable. “Perhaps we could talk about something else you’re curious about?”

"Then tell me, in the world next door, are all people? Or are there other things—"

“There are no humans among them. The youngest of them can live for thousands of years, so they shouldn’t be considered human,” Enid paused for a moment, not quite sure about it either. “But there are many other races, like dragons and demons that are often mentioned in novels.”

Damian's eyes lit up slightly when the topic of dragons came up. "Can dragons be caught?" Enid turned her head, a regretful expression on her face. "No, they can't be brought over. I tried to bring the dragon eggs from school before, but obviously it's impossible. But maybe once the forest is built, I can show you a dragon's friend, a mini fire dragon. It looks similar to the fire dragons in fairy tales, but it's only as long as a thumb! But it can only live in sacred places, so we'll have to ask Mother Goddess."

“Great!” Damian was clearly pleased, and Enid looked at the others with a smug expression, signaling if they had any other questions. Tim, however, had just thought of something: “So, is Lady Niaf’s race from the next world?”

"Hmm... not necessarily, because there are no records. But our race can probably live to be around seven or eight hundred years old, right? I don't know, but we live a long time—but in the other world, that's considered short."

She tried to gloss over it, but it was clearly noticed.

Tim clearly noticed something amiss. No, Enid's word order was off. It was obvious she didn't know the lifespan of her race; this age should be close but absolutely accurate.

"That sounds interesting."

"Mmm... So... my story is over! Father, it's your turn... You promised, tell me the ending."

Enid turned away from the topic. She had wanted to ask this for a long time, but she had promised Dick and the others last night to tell them about the school, so she couldn't. She could only finish what she wanted to say first and then ask Bruce how today's operation went. Hearing Enid's words, the others also looked at Bruce.

Alfred came over with a smile, carrying some snacks, and replenished what they had just eaten on the table. Clearly, everyone was engrossed in the Wayne family's story time. Barbara had to accompany Commissioner Gordon, so she participated online with Cassandra and Jason. However, Jason promised to come to the next camping trip (it was Dick who invited him after they fought the Penguin, and he accepted).

After a moment's hesitation, Bruce nodded and prepared to begin his story, having promised Enid.

Tim and Stephanie successfully captured the mole and learned more information through him. Jason and Dick also split up to capture the Penguin. Barbara took control of the overall situation and, together with Bruce and Damian, destroyed all the arrangements made against them.

Perhaps Bruce didn't focus too much on the story's expression; he simply described the whole process, omitting anything about the Penguin and the Arkham family's machinations, or the gadget Tim discovered. Of course, Enid and the others heard one thing: they were all excellent.

"so……"

Yes, they are all the best, and so are you.

He looked into Enid's eyes and smiled gently. In an instant, the others were also caught up in certain emotions because of his words. Well... 70% of their emotions were happiness.

Tim quickly recorded it and uploaded it to the secure channel. Enid, having recovered from her shyness, became somewhat awkward.

"Actually, I also want to know when I can get involved. I've already made arrangements for the forest reconstruction. Next, I need to prepare for the terrain reconstruction and vegetation restoration. Most of the animals are in my space. I can probably handle the terrain reconstruction, but the vegetation restoration... may have to be done manually, according to the predetermined locations."

“I’ll take care of this,” Bruce said, opening Enid’s reconstruction plan, which he had read carefully. “But perhaps we should add some surveillance equipment?”

The instructions clearly state the planting direction and method for each type of plant and tree, and even provide detailed instructions on maintenance. The list is extensive, and may require better security measures and the assistance of some high-tech equipment. Most importantly, there are no monitoring devices inside. Bruce believes that a certain level of monitoring is necessary for a place of extraordinary significance.

“No, I disagree, Father.” Enid strongly objected as soon as Bruce uttered his first words. Dick seemed to understand why Enid was agitated, but she quickly calmed down.

“I’m sorry, Father, but… the Holy Land doesn’t need high-tech equipment. Lyra can command the birds, and the animals will monitor it. They are the best guardians of the Holy Land. Monitoring equipment shouldn’t exist; they can’t replace my work.”

Bruce didn't mind and instead tried to soften his voice.

“You don’t need to apologize to the children, but I think surveillance is not a replacement, but an aid. Maybe no animal can be watched 24 hours a day, right? The most important thing is the recording.” After Bruce finished speaking, Tim pulled up a street surveillance video, even footage from a few days ago, as evidence. “Yes, I agree with that.”

“Perhaps we should agree with Fia’s opinion.” Dick clearly understood her reasons for disagreeing. “After all, perhaps we need to consider God’s will? Of course, I remember you have some runes, Fia?”

“Yes, I have a rune that prohibits all high-tech products from entering. Only those with the matching permission rune can enter; otherwise, everything else will be damaged.” Enid looked at Dick gratefully. Sometimes she didn’t know how to express herself, but thankfully, Dick… was there.

Sensing Enid's dependence, Dick had to admit he felt a little happy.

“Fia, later you can cooperate in testing the effects of the runes. If you want to prohibit the use of high technology, then draw the corresponding runes at all the entrances to the Holy Land.” Bruce clearly understood the reason, but rather than immediately thinking about it, he believed that the effects of the runes needed to be tested. If it was ensured that all high-tech products could not enter, that would be a good form of protection.

"Thank you for your help, Father... It's only not allowed inside the Holy Land, but outside, the surveillance equipment is fine."

"Very good, it seems you've reached an agreement?"

A note from the author:

----------------------

This chapter is a little bit dry (bows deeply). The beginning is about some stories from the magic university, which are related to later events, so I'll talk about them. There's not much to say about the villain's plot. It's just a business war against the new energy project. Although they won, the project's completion time was extended, which is unavoidable. The villain's goal was achieved. As for what Tim discovered, nothing much, except that the Court of Owls might have been involved.

Because this is from Enid's perspective, the plot won't be fully written (not because I'm lazy). The next case might take a little longer. What follows is some boring daily life. The campsite has been changed to the vicinity of the holy site, so everyone has to plant trees together (laughs).

Actually, I discussed planting trees with my friends and family. Maybe we could get Poison Ivy involved, haha! But then I thought, would the bats really invite Poison Ivy? Probably not... so let's forget about it.

But it's not a big problem. I won't go into detail about how to plant the trees, but they'll probably be done in no time!
