Chapter 96 The Last Secret Realm ① The Last Secret Realm, strange...

"The guards have left. It's been 10 minutes now."

Barbara's voice came through the headset. The five people inside the school exchanged a knowing glance and proceeded along the planned route. In less than five minutes, they had successfully traversed the last section of the road. Just before reaching the entrance, Cassandra stopped and, after comparing all the surroundings, found a place to hide.

Cassandra made a gesture, and Bruce, Enid, Jason, and Dick quickly received her signal. Enid opened a badge with a bat design, tapped it twice with her knuckles, and then everyone felt the sound coming from beside their ears—the sound of knuckles tapping.

The communication badge and communicator were working properly. They then headed towards the entrance to the secret realm. This was the first time Enid had used druidic magic here, as it was the only way to enter the place.

Perhaps at this moment, a loud noise should have suddenly erupted in the school, or everyone should have rushed over, but nothing happened. The secret realm remained lifeless and silent. They walked towards the open door. There are many kinds of magic, but here there was no need to use any magic related to opening doors, or rather, there was no need to even cast any magic.

It should be between the required magical thresholds for the two detection points.

They maintained a serious expression. The moment they stepped into the secret realm, Enid tapped the metal badge. After a while, they heard the sound of one tap, then three. Good, Barbara and Cassandra were alright.

"No problem, nobody noticed, they kept it very well."

"It's very quiet."

Barbara and Cassan's voices played through their earpieces, but there was a noticeable stutter and sluggishness. Bruce didn't speak, but simply tapped the metal badge quietly. Barbara, who was quietly watching and observing outside the door, frowned, then, as agreed beforehand, stroked the edge of the metal badge and repeated what she had just said.

As she spoke, her gaze lingered on Stephanie. She watched as Stephanie exchanged a glance with Lyra after she finished speaking, then gave Barbara an OK sign. Only then did she relax and gently tap the metal badge. The tapping stopped quickly, and she received three more taps near her ear.

This is a notification from Enid and the others, proving that the call was normal. It seems that everything is as Bruce thought. Communication will be affected in the secret realm, but Enid's alchemy is excellent.

Inside the secret realm, Enid received Barbara's signal and felt a slight surge of excitement. The voice was incredibly clear and fluent, and she also received a hint from Barbara that she hadn't been detected, which proved one thing: her alchemy. Her eyes shone brightly, a sight noticed by Bruce and Dick Jason.

Bruce in Batman form appears serious, but his approval is evident, though perhaps not entirely clear. Enid noticed it, as did Dick and Jason.

When they entered, there was only a pure black path. As they approached, it felt as if their breath was being held back, yet they moved forward without noticing. Only the knocking sounds beside their ears and Barbara's voice proved that they weren't standing still. This seemed to be part of Red Robin's plan, so they kept walking until the sun obscured the darkness, at which point they stopped.

The moment they stepped out of the cave, they found themselves in a terrifyingly quiet forest. Even the sound of their footsteps became abrupt. The metal badge was placed quietly. Enid was about to speak, but found that there seemed to be no sound. She frowned. As expected, magic was also unusable. Well... only in this world, and a small amount of druidic magic—support and life-sustaining types.

But her sensory abilities were not suppressed, so she could see at this moment...

Before them lay three roads, with a mountain blocking the way, surrounded by thorns and seemingly insurmountable. Thus, only the silent river to the right, the distant ruins of a village without smoke, and finally, the jungle beneath the high mountain remained.

They are the only signs blooming in the withered soil.

All of this was already dead, a death completely different from that in the secret realm. All the trees and rivers were fake; this was the real challenge, her eyes told them.

Red Hood: Do as you wish.

Jason's message was typed into his phone, and after his sharp eyes caught a glimpse of it, Jason quickly deleted it. Turning her head, she also noticed Bruce and Dick's glances. Enid pointed to the thorn bushes, spread her hands, and gestured with the backs of her hands as if she were walking over.

Her actions were very clear, and Bruce saw it all at once. So he didn't say anything, just nodded, and walked over. They didn't even have time to stop him, but he stopped them outside. Bruce stepped over and then stepped on a plank.

Without hesitation, Bruce walked straight ahead, and they followed closely behind until the creaking of the planks broke, and they stepped onto the mud. The thorns behind them turned into a suspension bridge without handrails, and the wind howled around them.

"Holy crap, that kid was right." Jason gripped his gun, looking relaxed but his body was tense, as if he could attack at any moment.

“He’s always been great,” Dick said with a smile. “If I remember correctly, he was the one who listed the mechanisms with a difficulty level of three stars.”

Tim listed a total of several levels, clearly indicating the type of each level and the difficulty level from three stars to five stars. However, he didn't expect all of them to be three stars. The level that the Druid would set up was not so clear. It was more like there was only one way to pass the level: listen to Enid.

"Stay vigilant." The difficulty of Samsung is not a reason for them to let their guard down. Bruce knew this, but he still couldn't help but remind them.

This was certainly not meant to dampen enthusiasm, but rather to bring everyone back to their cautious state. Enid pursed her lips, nodded excitedly and seriously, and snuggled close to Dick. Dick reached out and touched the back of her hand. The two didn't hold hands, just touched each other's hands like that, and then continued according to the original plan.

The first level ended after crossing the suspension bridge. Next was a temporary level. In Tim's plan, if you stepped on mud after crossing the suspension bridge, there would be 3 different levels. According to the direction of the wind around them, good, the next step is a battle. They flashed to the northeast, and the next second a group of red-eyed beasts rushed out from the opposite direction.

No, it shouldn't be a beast, it should be a bone demon.

Even their species were the same, belonging to the Abyss Demon Realm. Enid stepped back a few paces and began to pray using the power of the druid. A faint green glow emanated from her, creating a protective shield around her.

Although druid magic doesn't have any offensive spells, this happens to be a niche purification and defensive spell. Well, it's normal that they don't know it and can't stop it, because it's a two-in-one spell she created herself, just for convenience and laziness. She didn't have time to be smug, but calmly watched everyone's smooth movements.

Unlike Shadowstone, these are a bit annoying and hard to kill. Their hearts are hidden three inches below their necks, where the fur is strangely thick and will shatter if poked. They are monsters without reason or life, machines that can only follow a predetermined program... and they are the ones who control them.

As Jason's bullet struck the last Bone Demon, the wind began to subside. A faint scent of flowers seemed to waft from the withered earth ahead—the fragrance of decaying blossoms.

"They are polluting this secret place..."

Enid's voice lowered. From the moment she smelled the decaying fragrance, or perhaps from the appearance of the Bone Demon, she had simply been naive and unwilling to think the worst of people... But she hadn't expected them to let the Bone Demon in and allow the demonic energy to pollute this secret realm.

This is something that Tim's plan didn't mention, and something Enid never talked about; it may no longer exist.

"Pollution?" Bruce's voice was unusually serious.

"Yes, the Demon Seed was originally destroyed by Lord Oko. The Demon Seed was the reason for the initial destruction of this world. Because it was destroyed, I didn't mention it... but it has reappeared."

A slight shadow began to fall over her emerald green eyes, but she had no time to be sad or sorrowful. She took out a staff from her spatial storage, one she had never used before. It was more magnificent and dazzling than ever before, though a little heavy. Enid's serious expression faltered slightly as she took it out.

Dick quickly took it, and as soon as he held it in his hand, he found that the staff seemed particularly easy to use. Of course, he meant it was good for hitting people. The weight and length were also good, except that it was much longer than his Cali staff.

"Maybe I can borrow it for a while, and I'll return it to you when I need it?"

“Okay…” Enid pursed her lips shyly, “Actually, you can just hold it. I put a lot of magic inside, so I don’t need to use it. Holding it will purify it.”

"That's perfect."

She couldn't see his eyes, but his relaxed tone reassured Enid somewhat. She stopped dwelling on the matter and released her perception magic. The druidic power allowed her to resonate with the forest. Fertile mud was hidden in the withered soil, and the sleeping trees and withered flowers were also moving towards her.

The trials of a druid are courage, strength, and faith, and love for all things, so it's simple and doesn't require anything extra, but now the flowers and the soil have withered together.

The vines, corrupted by demonic energy, formed an excellent forbidden magic circle, prohibiting flight and the casting of spells. It seemed that everything was forbidden except for combat. They even attempted to absorb the druid power within them, but coincidentally, none of the others possessed it.

So they watched as Enid calmly drew out the entire range of the magic circle, then quickly nodded and rushed over.

Dick wielded the staff with great force, while the vines groaned and wept as he struck them.

Author's Note: Superhuman Wings!!

Anyway, this staff is excellent as a magical weapon, but it's incredibly heavy, only slightly lighter than Tim's (?), weighing around 50kg.

It's definitely much lighter now!

Hmm... the wings are definitely fine! Anyway, it's the monster that gets beaten up.
