The atmosphere between the two eased, and Chen Yuancheng asked her what had happened after she went up the mountain. Xiao Yunying told him only what she could.

Chen Yuancheng listened with a slight frown.

"In other words, most of the people on the mountain have been drugged by you and are still unconscious."

"I won't really hurt him, you don't need to worry so much. Please stay in the guest room tonight, I'll have the doctor check your injuries in a bit."

Xiao Yunying stretched and followed a servant to her new residence.

After a quick wash, she waited a while before an elderly doctor came over and took her pulse.

Her injuries were mostly superficial and nothing serious. The old doctor left her a bottle of medicine, gave her a few instructions, and then left.

Xiao Yunying asked the maid beside her, "How is Yuanxuan?"

She thought that if the doctor diagnosed the illness as serious, she would secretly give him Western medicine to bring down the fever first.
