Xiao He unexpectedly gained a criminal cheat skill that allows him to learn all kinds of crime-related abilities.
—But the catch is, he has to keep “stabbing people” to stay alive.
<...Zhang Mo coughed violently a few times: "Beat him up, beat him up hard. I'll be in charge of putting the sack over his head, and Xiao Xiao will be in charge of holding him down. You can hit him all you want, okay?"
Stop saying he's old. As people get older, their mental resilience isn't what it used to be, and some people can't handle hearing that.
Iman suppressed a laugh: "That would be best."
Xiao He could tell that Yiman'er and Zhang Mo had a good relationship, but he didn't rush into this sensitive topic. He just smiled and watched from the side: "Don't worry, Sister Man'er, Brother Zhang and I will definitely help you on stage!"
Iman scoffed, "You'd better do that later."
After waiting for another ten minutes or so, the recording of "Happy Every Day" officially began.
As a lively and cheerful opening dance played, several familiar hosts danced their way onto the stage.
Next came the cast and crew of "Shining Stars" and several other invited guests from the show.
Even though he knew it was just a pre-recorded broadcast, Xiao He still couldn't help but feel a little nervous looking at the densely packed crowd below.
After introducing himself, he quietly became a decorative ornament.
It has to be said that Su Shengxi's basic business skills are quite high to have gotten to where he is today. He actively cooperated with Qiu Hua and the other hosts throughout the event, and even subtly mentioned the premiere trailer for "Shining Stars". Even though Xiao He doesn't like him, he has to admit that Su Shengxi has developed his business skills over the years as an idol.
Even Iman maintained her composure throughout, actively participating in the program's activities and engaging in subtle interactions with Su Shengxi.
Xiao He, on the other hand, had it much easier. He was just there to add to the show, to make it more popular, and he could simply slack off in the background.
After a few fun games, the recording of the show was paused. Several people went offstage to change clothes, while the other staff members came forward and set up their "large" game props on the stage one by one.
Xiao He, who was quick to change his clothes, came over and took a look.
It was a large log bridge with a balloon hanging from the top in the center. The bridge was only wide enough for one person to barely pass through, and the sides were piled high with protective foam.
Based on this setup, Xiao He could roughly guess that the game involved two people teaming up to try and pop the hanging balloon.
Sure enough, everyone reunited after a short while, and the recording of the program resumed. The host, Qiu Hua, was responsible for explaining the rules carefully.
The rules were pretty much as Xiao He had guessed: each pair of partners had to walk across the narrow log bridge in the shortest amount of time and pop the balloons hanging on it.
The game is difficult in two main ways. First, one person's feet cannot touch the ground the entire time, while the other person needs to carry them and maintain balance while walking to the center of the bridge. Second, the balloon is suspended very high. Xiao He estimated with his naked eye that it was about two meters above the bridge, and the person being carried needs to pop the balloon with the pointed hat they are wearing on their head.
Therefore, simply carrying someone on your back won't reach that height. It does require a certain level of skill and coordination for two people to work together to pop the balloon.
After understanding the rules, the two teams competing on the spot each sent out two players to compete.
The first group consisted of several regular guests, who were meant to set an example for everyone. Unfortunately, the demonstration was a complete failure. The two of them were stuck in the middle of the bridge and, before they could come up with a solution, they both fell into the water and were eliminated.
Unsurprisingly, the production team of "Shining Stars" sent Yiman'er and Su Shengxi.
However, the two of them didn't really have much chemistry.
Su Shengxi had a bitter look on his face. His movements as he carried Iman were stiff and laborious. He barely managed to carry her to the middle of the bridge before stopping, leaving Iman to figure out how to reach the balloon herself.
But this height was simply not enough. Even with Iman'er craning her neck, she was still a long way from the balloon. She suggested to Su Shengxi that they try a different angle, but Su Shengxi refused. In the end, Su Shengxi was exhausted, and the two returned empty-handed.
Actually, it's normal to fail, after all, everyone is just playing a game. But when it came to the end, Su Shengxi insisted on saving face: "Sister Man'er, it seems the food was very good during the National Day holiday."
Iman: "...?" Does this guy want to die?
Iman's smile, which she had been maintaining, faltered for a moment.
For female celebrities, weight is a very taboo and sensitive topic.
