Supreme Sacred Ring, Carefree Tycoon!
In the 80s, a good-quality old Hainan Huanghuali round-backed armchair from the Qing Dynasty could be yours for just twenty yuan. Now, two million yuan o...
Yang Jing and his wife stayed in New York for two days, and then drove south accompanied by a group of bodyguards and secretaries.
Yang Jing and his wife have been to the United States many times, and Gege has been to the United States even more times than Yang Jing. However, the couple has never taken a self-driving tour across North America in this country, so this time the couple decided to take a few days off to take a self-driving tour across North America.
Because of the weather, Yang Jing did not take Gege to the manor on Grand Island. The manor was bought by Yang Jing from the DuPont family. The eight treasure hiding places of the Japanese devils in the Philippines were also discovered by Yang Jing in the basement of this manor.
But there is no point in going there at this time. It will be uncomfortable to play outside when the weather gets cold, even though it is very close to Niagara Falls.
So the couple decided to start from New York, head south along the East Coast, visit Philadelphia and Watsontown, and then go to Norfolk to see the home port of the US Navy. They not only saw the Kidd-class guided missile destroyer, but also two aircraft carriers under maintenance.
Continuing south from Norfolk, we arrived at Savannah, a port city in Georgia. This city is known as "the most romantic city in the United States in autumn", and it is a perfect time to visit here.
In this city, the couple saw the first lighthouse on the west coast of the Atlantic Ocean - the Tybee Island Lighthouse; of course, they did not forget to come to the Savannah Square, which is the scene where Forrest Gump, played by two-time Oscar winner Tom Hanks, sat on a bench and told passers-by about his colorful life experiences.
Continuing south from Savannah, the group arrived at the world-famous space center, Cape Canaveral Launch Center. Through connections, the group entered the space center and admired the launch pads up close, especially the legendary Space Launch Complex 39.
At the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, 39A is a "relic-level" launch pad. Both 39A and 39B belong to the 39th Launch Complex of the Kennedy Space Center. They are the only two launch pads belonging to NASA among the many launch pads at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Base in the United States. 39A and 39B have been carrying out NASA's launch missions since the Apollo era. 39A, in particular, has an unshakable legendary position in the history of human spaceflight.
The first mission from Launch Pad 39A was on November 9, 1967, when a Saturn V rocket launched the unmanned Apollo 4 spacecraft, which was also the first flight mission of the Saturn V rocket. In the Apollo era, except for Apollo 10, all other manned lunar missions were launched from Launch Pad 39A. On July 16, 1969, the three astronauts of Apollo 11, which carried out the first lunar landing mission, launched from Launch Pad 39A, and four days later, Armstrong and Aldrin successfully landed on the moon.
After the advent of the space shuttle era, Launch Pad 39A was remodeled to accommodate new missions. On April 12, 1981, the Columbia space shuttle took off from here with two astronauts on board, carrying out the world's first space shuttle space flight mission. Six months later, Columbia took off from Launch Pad 39A again, becoming the world's first reused manned space vehicle. From 1981 to January 1986, the first 24 missions of the US space shuttle took off from Launch Pad 39A, including the space debuts of the four space shuttles Columbia, Challenger, Discovery, and Atlantis. On July 9, 2011, the Atlantis space shuttle also took off from here, completing its last space shuttle launch mission.
After witnessing the Apollo and Space Shuttle eras, Launch Pad 39A has a new mission. Elon Musk's SpaceX Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy rockets will be launched from Launch Pad 39A. And starting this year, in 2020, SpaceX will launch one or two "Red Dragon" spacecraft to Mars every two years. The spacecraft will be sent into space from Launch Pad 39A by the Falcon Heavy rocket.
The legendary 39A will once again usher in the "Mars Era" in human space history!
After leaving Cape Canaveral, the couple did not continue to head south. Miami may have an irresistible attraction for most people, but for this young couple, Miami is just that.
Afterwards, the couple drove north, and after visiting the main venue of the Atlanta Olympics, they turned west, visiting Memphis, Little Rock, Oklahoma City, Albuquerque, and then arrived at the Grand Canyon National Forest.
If you come to the United States and don’t visit the Grand Canyon, it’s like coming to China and not visiting the Great Wall.
If you don’t see this lower canyon with your own eyes, it’s really hard to imagine why there is such a spectacular scenery on earth!
After two days of playing in the Grand Canyon, the group continued to head west, first gambling in Las Vegas for half a night, and then preparing to cross the Rocky Mountains the next day. Of course, while crossing the Rocky Mountains, they did not forget to visit the Giant Sequoia National Forest Park along the way to see the ancient redwood trees.
Before this park was established, North American redwood forests were cut down in large numbers, but this place was miraculously spared. The reason was that the trees here would automatically break into many pieces when they fell after being cut down, making the wood lack its due economic value. Over time, people stopped coming here to cut down trees, and this piece of mangrove forest was preserved.
On June 30, 1864, in order to protect the original appearance of this giant redwood forest, US President Lincoln designated this giant redwood forest in the Rocky Mountains as a protected area and established it as the first state park in the United States.
