The oil well is located on a private farm, not far from the Beaumont Petroleum Museum.

In the United States, private property is sacred and inviolable. The owner of private land has legal ownership of everything.

But this rule changed with the enactment of the Mineral Leasing Act in 1920. This is because the law, which was enacted nearly 100 years ago, stipulates that minerals such as oil, natural gas and coal found on private land no longer belong to the landowner, but to the mineral developer. These minerals found on private land no longer have any connection with the landowner.

So even though this old oil well was located on a private farm, after Lin Dan showed the relevant documents of the old oil well, the farm owner had no choice but to let Yang Jing and his team in.
