Supreme Sacred Ring, Carefree Tycoon!
In the 80s, a good-quality old Hainan Huanghuali round-backed armchair from the Qing Dynasty could be yours for just twenty yuan. Now, two million yuan o...
I called Gege and learned that the girl was having a great time, so I gave her a few instructions and hung up the phone. Then I immersed my mind in the storage space.
Seven large iron boxes were neatly placed in the space, which made Yang Jing feel inexplicably happy.
Since I came to the Philippines more than 20 days ago, I have visited eight places, but apart from finding less than two tons of gold and two boxes of gems at the second and fourth locations, I have gained nothing else. Although there are still a large number of treasures buried under the Catholic church in San Fernando, haven't they been dug out yet?
The seven large iron boxes in front of me can be said to be the first big gain of this trip to the Philippines, but I don’t know what good things are inside.
If there is no good thing, Yang Jing will be very unhappy. This trip to the Philippines, not only did not have any great gains, but also encountered earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions and super typhoons, and almost lost his life here. If there is no good gain this time, Yang Jing thinks that God is really sorry for such a hardworking self...
Rubbing his hands, Yang Jing opened the first box with his consciousness. It turned out that there was no gold or other precious metals inside as he had imagined, but something wrapped in a thick layer of oilcloth. This layer of oilcloth also made Yang Jing happy.
It is obvious that there must be good stuff wrapped in this thick oilcloth, otherwise the Japanese would not have been so careful back then.
Not bad, the oilcloth was well preserved in the iron box, at least no damaged parts were found.
He gently lifted the oilcloth, and what was inside immediately made Yang Jing's eyes widen.
Neatly arranged in the box are a dozen exquisitely crafted, about 40 centimeters tall, gilded Buddha statues of various shapes, or simply put, these Buddha statues are made of pure gold.
Yang Jing used his consciousness to take out the dozen or so Buddha statues from the space. Sure enough, the heavy feeling proved that the dozen or so Buddha statues were not gilded, but made of real pure gold.
These Buddha statues include Buddha statues, Bodhisattva statues, and more Guanyin statues, all of which have different shapes. However, Yang Jing thought that the shapes of these Buddha statues seemed to be somewhat different from those in Chinese history, so he used his identification skills without hesitation, and the answer he gave really confirmed Yang Jing's guess.
These Buddha statues are all pure gold and bronze statues from the Angkor Dynasty, and their production history ranges from 1190 to 1432 AD. Judging from the production years of these Buddha statues, it also proves that that era was the beginning and heyday of the Angkor Dynasty's belief in Buddhism.
You should know that in the early days of the Angkor dynasty, most of the people in Angkor believed in Shiva, but during the reign of Suryavarman II, that is, in the early twelfth century, this great king converted to Vishnu and during his reign of the Angkor dynasty, he replaced the original Shiva statues in the temple with Vishnu statues.
However, thirty years after the death of Suryavarman II, another greater king of the Angkor dynasty, Jayavarman VII, succeeded to the throne.
During his reign, this greatest king of the Angkor Dynasty pushed the Angkor Dynasty to its heyday and became the most prestigious ancient monarch in Cambodia. However, this king believed in Buddhism and regarded Guanyin as the patron saint of the Khmer people. He believed that Guanyin could guide people to the Pure Land of Bliss. He built four-sided statues of Guanyin everywhere in the country. Most of these Guanyin statues have half-open eyes, lowered gazes, and a calm and mysterious smile on their mouths. They are called "the smile of the Khmer". During this period, Buddhist temples such as Prasat Pran Ketik, Tarong, Pagan and Bayon were built, showing the unique color of Angkor Buddhism.
Obviously, these Buddha statues were looted from Cambodia by the Japanese invaders when they occupied Cambodia. And the Buddha statues that the Japanese invaders treasured as treasures must be the best among them.
These pure gold Guanyin statues are indeed treasures. Any one of them can be called a national treasure of Cambodia. Even in China, the value of these pure gold Buddha statues and Guanyin statues is very high.
And so many national treasure-level Buddha statues and Guanyin statues are enough to support an exhibition hall!
After Yang Jing admired these precious pure gold Buddha statues one by one, he put them back into the space and began to focus his attention on the lower layer of the box.
Most of these pure gold Buddha and Guanyin statues are less than half a meter in height, so they are placed in two layers in this one-meter square box, with a partition in the middle of the box.
After pulling out the partition, there were still more than ten Buddha statues and Guanyin statues under the partition, as expected, as well as some other Buddha statues with strange shapes. Yang Jing identified those Buddha statues with strange shapes and found that they were pure gold bodies of Shiva and Vishnu.
This big iron box is full of pure gold Buddha statues of various shapes. The lightest Buddha statue weighs about 40 kilograms. These 20 Buddha statues weigh nearly a ton! Even though they are all pure gold Buddha statues from the Angkor Dynasty, they have a history of at least 700 years, and the earliest ones have a history of more than 900 years, not to mention such exquisite shapes. Therefore, the value of this box of pure gold Buddha statues far exceeds the same weight of gold, and the true value is difficult to estimate!
Good stuff! Really good stuff!
Yang Jing was very satisfied with this good start. Just this box of Buddha statues was worth all his trips to so many places in the Philippines.
After placing these pure gold Buddha statues one by one in the space, Yang Jing opened the second iron box with great anticipation.
After opening it, the second iron box still contained a thick layer of oilcloth. After removing the oilcloth, there was actually a layer of silk inside. However, because of the protection of the iron box and oilcloth outside, this layer of silk was well protected. The most important thing was that the color of this layer of silk was bright yellow!
