Chapter 6 Demonic Possession (Part 2)
A supernatural item similar to a pendant, likely amplifying strength. A strike after activation is stronger than my arm strength, so I can't fight it head-on.
Thoughts raced through his mind like lightning, and mid-air, Chu Hengkong had already figured out the key. He used the impact to spin his body and land, using a series of rolls to dissipate the force.
As he rose, a massive black shadow descended like a dark cloud. Hugos's next attack was already approaching. Chu Hengkong's footsteps shimmered, narrowly avoiding Changya's thrust. The second attack didn't involve the iron ring, but it was enough to crumble the masonry, sending shattered fragments flying. Chu Hengkong wordlessly regrouped as Hugos, transformed into a demon, laughed wildly.
"You were so arrogant just now, come on, try again! Come on, come on, come on!!"
Boom! Boom! Boom! The successive explosions were reminiscent of artillery shells, and Hugos's tusks pounded holes one after another. Three exchanges took place in a flash, and Chu Hengkong didn't fight back, but instead dodged continuously. He was faster than his demonized enemy, but it was difficult for him to retaliate because the iron ring, which had enhanced its power, could be activated at any time.
The previous shockwave had caused Chu Hengkong to feel a long-lost pain. His bones were fine, but his muscles were undoubtedly damaged. Getting hit directly by this thing was definitely not easy. If he couldn't kill the enemy instantly, the power-enhancing attack at close range would harm him.
First walk around with him... observe his movements, look for opportunities...
Chu Hengkong leaped to the left, dodging another blow from Hugos. The change in position presented an opportunity: groin, throat, flank, and ribs—with the numerous holes exposed, there were plenty of openings for a surprise attack. The head was too high to strike, and the lower limbs were too thick to be shocked, so the flank was the perfect target.
Chu Hengkong stepped out with his left foot, and an iron mountain kick hit the side of the abdomen. In an instant, the power from his waist and arms burst out, giving the enemy a heavy blow!
Hugos's massive body shook, but he didn't fall to the ground. It was like a giant mayfly trying to shake a tree. Chu Hengkong cursed inwardly.
He was so used to hurting people that he forgot his left arm had turned into a tentacle!
The Iron Mountain Leaning technique relies not only on the shoulders but also on the elbows. The retractable tentacles lack joints and bones, which means the power of the previous attack is greatly reduced. The overly flexible Iron Mountain Leaning technique puts Hugos at a disadvantage. The distance between them is now further shortened, and Hugos's eyes are filled with satisfaction.
"Tentacle boy, you're done!"
Hugos raised his head high, and simultaneously brought down his fangs on both sides. His demonic body sealed off the space, leaving Chu Hengkong with almost no room to dodge. This was the tactic of those possessed by demons; they didn't need any so-called technique; they only needed to apply their own strength to achieve victory.
As the shadow of violence rapidly loomed, Chu Hengkong remained calm. He had no interest in reflecting on himself during the battle, nor did he bother to praise such an unskilled enemy. The next step in the battle had already emerged, and all he had to do was win.
"I'll be a little... violent too!" he whispered.
A silver trail streaked across the One-Eye's vision, and Chu Hengkong's tentacles leaped up like a python! The silver python spun around at high speed, unexpectedly entangling Hugos's fangs in the midst of the battle. Chu Hengkong took a heavy step to the left, concentrating all his strength on the tentacles and pulling them sideways with all his might!
He entangled the tusk without the ring, located on the side previously struck by the Iron Mountain Knife. Consecutive attacks on the same side suddenly shifted Hugos's center of gravity. His right leg lifted off the ground due to inertia, completely disrupting the downward thrust of the two tusks. His top-heavy body threatened to fall.
Pulling relentlessly... Is that guy planning a throw? An over-the-shoulder throw with his tentacles?!
Hugos was startled. The enemy was too fast, and he didn't want to fall to the ground at this moment. He quickly slowed down his attack and leaned back, trying to stand firm and fight again.
Chu Hengkong had been waiting for this opportunity. He suddenly released his grip, and, embracing Hugos's force, he leaped upward. The tentacles, stretched by the entanglement, gave back ample elasticity, and his form, previously as steady as an old tree, now felt as light as a bird. In an instant, Chu Hengkong soared, towering above the elephant's head. He released his grip, retracted his right fist, and slashed down with the heel of his left leg, striking Hugos's single eye with immense force.
Kyokushin Karate, heel drop!
This was a killer move from full-contact karate, a style that emphasizes transforming limbs into weapons, and Chu Hengkong's limbs were the sharpest blades. This ferocious blow shattered Hugos's eye, sending blood mingling with the shattered eyeball like a fountain. The giant's wails could have shattered glass. The surrounding thugs were completely terrified, but Chu Hengkong, who had attacked, remained expressionless.
There was neither joy nor excitement on his face, it was a matter of course. He was a good killer, once he made a move, he would get the result, as long as he attacked, he would definitely win.
The severely wounded Hugos was completely mad. He once again unleashed the power of the iron ring and charged forward, attempting to throw Chu Hengkong off. The powerful force shattered the masonry and stairs, sending the onlookers flying, but it couldn't shake the killer off the demon's back. He used his tentacles to tightly strangle Hugos's neck, and with a powerful downward strike of his right fist, he struck directly at the tusk with the iron ring.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The cracks deepened, each blow heavier than the last. Hugos's tusk was strong and heavy; he had crushed countless skulls with it in the past, but now, the invincible tusk trembled under the blow of a single man. With the fourth blow, cracks appeared on the tusk's surface; with the fifth, cracks appeared at the base. Hugos struggled desperately, but his strength waned as the tentacle, like a noose, strangled his breath.
Chu Hengkong roared as he unleashed his sixth punch. The accumulated injuries from the previous five punches erupted simultaneously, shattering the tusk at the root. He grabbed the broken tusk and delivered the final blow to Hugos's crown!
After a terrifying roar, Hugos's eyes turned white and he fell to his knees. Chu Hengkong sat on his back, which was as wide as a door panel, and was about to give him another blow as a safety measure when he stopped.
He saw a colorless "image" flying out of Hugos's body. Its outline resembled a jellyfish, with a single eye in the center. Its presence was so illusory that it seemed like an illusion. Chu Hengkong saw in that eye the same ferocity as Hugos's, yet also a strange, almost full, satisfaction.
The one-eyed jellyfish stared at Chu Hengkong for a moment before fading away silently. At the same moment, Hugos shrank like a balloon pricked by a needle, ultimately transforming into a one-eyed man with a broken arm.
Demonic possession... Is this the "demon"? It looks a lot like seafood.
Chu Hengkong pondered for a moment and realized he was still holding the tusk that had turned back into a broken arm. He slowly removed Hugos's iron ring, discarded the useless broken arm, and glanced at the stunned thugs around him.
"Next one," he said.
There was no next one, not even a howl. The strength to speak had left the thugs forever, along with their courage. They ran hysterically, tumbling and crawling like worms, doing everything in their power to get away from the blood-soaked man. The man who had broken the fangs with his bare hands, along with his tentacles, became a symbol of fear, a nightmare more maddening than a demon.
Only one person remained: the old man who had been pushed to the back at the beginning. The old shopkeeper stared blankly at Chu Hengkong, his lips moving unconsciously but unable to make a sound.
"Sorry, uncle, we made a bit of a fuss while enforcing the law." He heard the tentacle man say, "The bounty on this man is 100,000 flowing pearls. Is that enough to repair your shop?"
"Enough...enough..." the old man said subconsciously, "Thirty thousand is enough..."
"The prices are quite cheap." Chu Hengkong smiled. He raised his hand to wipe the blood off his watch: "Let me see how long it takes..."
·
"Five minutes and 31 seconds. Very good boy."
At the entrance of the Iron Oar Shop, Father Huaisu finished counting the time, with a look of approval in his eyes.
Ji Huaisu, standing by, disagreed: "If it were me, I would have killed that stupid elephant in five seconds."
"Girl, you are already at level 2, yet you still compare yourself with newbies who have no progress?" Father Huaisu said with a smile.
"It's none of your business." Ji Huaisu rolled his eyes at him. "You're being really unkind this time, Dad."
Father Huaisu pretended to be surprised: "Why do you say that?"
"We haven't touched Hugos yet, isn't it because he's from the Black Workshop? Killing him would be a relief, but if we offend the biggest evil force in the city on our first day, how will we, the killer, survive in the future?"
"So from now on you will be the one protecting him." Father Huaisu smiled.
"……ah?"
After a moment of stunned silence, Ji Huaisu reacted: "Hey, Dad, are you serious? I'm possessed by a demon!"
"I've seen it. The aura is very similar, but it's not an imaginary demon." Father Huaisu waved his paper fan, "Use your little head and think about it carefully. If it really was a demon, why would I waste my time talking to him~"
As they spoke, Chu Hengkong had already dragged Hugos out. The killer was covered in blood, but his smile was bright and sunny. "Mr. Ji, I wonder if this pledge of allegiance is sincere enough?"
"What's with the 'letter of surrender'? We're a legitimate organization. This is your entrance exam!" said Father Huaisu. "From today on, you're a temporary member of the Resurrection Corps! The pay is second to none in the city, and you'll get all the professional benefits you could ever want."
Chu Hengkong was overjoyed: "That's great. Is our army cafeteria still open?"
For the first time since they met, Father Huaisu showed the same bewildered look as his daughter. Chu Hengkong was sincere and confident.
"I played from afternoon to night and really wanted to have a bowl of roast goose rice noodles."
I never thought there would be a Silver Leader on the first day of the release, so I'm updating three chapters to show my appreciation. Thank you so much for your support!
In addition, I have agreed on the character design of the protagonist Akong, which will be included in the chapter description at the end of this chapter, and I will also agree on the pictures of other characters in the future.)
