He was like a beam of light from heaven, reaching out to her and ge...

Chapter 42 No Punishment Without Making a Mistake

"Are you serious?" Fu Shaosi propped his head up lazily, his tone sounding troubled. "I have a feeling that you scoundrel have come up with some kind of trap again."

He paused, lifted his eyelids to look at Qi Shen, and said, "Just waiting for your poor little thing to crawl in."

Qi Shen lowered his eyes to his hands, smiled politely, and said in a gentle and calm voice, "It's good not to make mistakes, but if you don't make mistakes, you won't know what the cost of making mistakes is."

Fu Shaosi, with a half-smile, called out his next words, "There's no punishment without making mistakes."

What is punishment for the young girl is probably a reward that some hypocrites have been longing for.

Qi Shen's raven-feather-like eyelashes fluttered slightly, but he remained noncommittal.

Fu Shaosi chuckled, "You're still the most cunning one."

Even though they knew Fang Zhi was making a mistake, they did nothing to stop her, letting her continue.

Once the girl falls for his trick, she'll find the perfect excuse for what he's about to do.

Qi Shen raised an eyebrow, his thumb rubbing his index finger. If he wasn't mistaken, this was the fourth time Fu Shaosi had scolded him today.

The beautiful woman, who was listening to the two men talk the whole time, tried to breathe softly and minimize her presence.

Standing out from the crowd and getting involved with Fu Shaosi, one of the top young masters in Shanghai, is enough to show her shrewdness.

She knew exactly when to act cute and when to play dumb, and who she could mess with and who she couldn't.

At this critical juncture, the best thing she should do is play dead.

Young Master Fu is naturally unruly and has an unpredictable temper. He is difficult to please and can sometimes be frightening.

The president of SQ, Qi Shen, had a gentle and refined smile and was impeccably dressed, but he was more terrifying than Young Master Fu, a chilling presence that emanated from the depths of one's heart.

If you offend Young Master Fu, he'll publicly punish you, and that'll be the end of it; but if you offend this guy, he might be smiling while stabbing you in the back.

A venomous snake that kills without shedding blood, hiding in the shadows; you might be tricked but still feel grateful to it.

Looking at the man relaxing on the sofa, Qi Shen suddenly felt he should find something for him to do.

To avoid him bothering him for no reason, and to prevent him from being sarcastic.

Fu Shaosi suddenly felt a chill run down his spine and said, "This place is no place to stay for long—"

It diminishes one's merit.

One trip here requires three days of knocking on an electronic wooden fish.

He stood up, dusted off his clothes, and casually glanced at Qi Shen. "I'm leaving."

The beautiful woman followed him up. Apart from glancing at Qi Shen once she entered the office, her gaze never drifted to this man in a white shirt, impeccably clean-cut, handsome, and gentle-looking.

After Fu Shaosi left, the office fell silent.

Qi Shen glanced at the sofa where the woman Fu Shaosi had brought had sat, a hint of disgust flashing in his eyes.

......

Upon arriving at the Wanxi Club, they discovered that the group was sitting in a magnificently decorated hall.

The manager, having received instructions from Fu Shaosi, rushed over, glanced around, and said, "Sorry to keep you all waiting. I was just arranging your rooms." His gaze finally settled on the arrogant and handsome Jiang Yuze at the head of the group, and he said with a smile, "Also, we pay in cash here. Would you like to pay by card or cash?"

Jiang Yu then took out his wallet and handed the manager a silver bank card, saying, "Swipe the card."

Seeing this, Liu Siyi walked over and stood between the manager and the other man, trying to get her card back, saying, "It's my birthday, how can I let you pay?"

"It's all the same." Jiang Yu's eyes never left Fang Zhi, but his expression remained calm. "I originally wanted to sing too, so consider this my invitation for you to keep me company."

Liu Siyi couldn't persuade him otherwise. The manager patiently waited on the sidelines until they reached a conclusion, then smiled and took his silver bank card to the front desk to settle the bill.

Everyone got up from the sofa and waited with great interest for the waiter to lead them to the private room.

Two minutes later, the manager returned.

"Young Master Jiang, this card cannot be used to make a payment."

The others looked at each other in bewilderment.

Jiang Yu was stunned. "How is that possible?" This card is a supplementary card, it shouldn't be unable to make a purchase. Unconvinced, he took out another card and handed it over. "Try this one."

The result was the same.

He wanted to impress the girl he liked, but his attempt backfired, and he ended up with nothing to show for it.

Jiang Yu's handsome face flushed red, but thanks to his tanned complexion, it wasn't easily noticed.

He realized that his parents had frozen his bank card.

"How much?" Liu Siyi stepped forward shrewdly. "Let me pay."

"No need," Jiang Yu replied, turning to the manager, "How much is left in my card?"

"Young Master Jiang, please wait a moment while I go and investigate for you."

He followed the manager, saying, "I'll go with you."

Liu Siyi and Fang Zhi exchanged a glance. "Why don't we go and take a look?" After all, they were the only two people present who were somewhat familiar with Jiang Yuzhe.

Fang Zhi had no objection to this.

The front desk retrieved Jiang Yuze's previous card information. "Your card ending in 4908 still has 7000 yuan left. The room is the cheapest, so you can just add another 7000 yuan."

As the waiter spoke, she realized that the two men had already approached and overheard her words.

Jiang Yu was looking down at his wallet, unaware of their arrival.

Liu Siyi didn't expect KTV to be so expensive. As the birthday girl, she naturally had to make arrangements since she had brought everyone here.

She leaned close to Fang Zhi's ear and whispered, "Zhi Zhi, I didn't bring my card, I only had 5,000 yuan in cash. How much do you have? Let me use it, I'll give it to you when I get back to school."

Fang Zhi replied softly, "2000 is just enough."

She doesn't need to buy her own daily necessities, so she rarely carries money with her. Today happens to be Liu Siyi's birthday, so she brought out some money just in case.
