"I didn't steal anything! That rabbit leg was something you saved for me!" He Jianian thought. It would be too embarrassing if everyone thought he stole the rabbit leg. He wasn't afraid to lay it all out on the table. It was something Song Yan had given willingly. Wu Meili already had a child; how could he possibly run away?

Unexpectedly, Wei An, who was in Song Yan's arms, objected, "You're lying. This morning, Auntie said that the rabbit legs were for me and my brother."

Wei Ping: "You liar, give me back my rabbit leg!"

Wei Ping grabbed the spinning top that Song Yan had bought for him and smashed it directly on He Jianian's forehead.

He Jianian was so angry she wanted to slap the two children.

Cheng Yousuo held down He Jianian, who was about to jump around, and said, "Song Zhiqing, I think your bedding has been turned over. Did anything go missing?" Cheng Yousuo had seen this as soon as he entered the room.

The suspicious gazes stung He Jianian's entire body; when had he ever been so humiliated! He couldn't bear to be remembered as a thief. "I didn't steal! I didn't steal!" He Jianian cried, reaching into his pocket. In his haste, he pulled out the lining of his pocket. "Clatter!" A roll of money fell to the ground.

The room was quiet!

The room was packed with people, the outer room was full of people, and there were even more people three or four layers deep outside the room.

"Wouldn't this count as catching someone red-handed?" Li Yuanzhao said softly.

The buzzing of discussion among the crowd had just begun.

"It wasn't me, I didn't take it, I don't know how the money ended up on me." He Jianian was frantic.

"Brother Cheng, shut him up!" Song Yan said.

Cheng Yousuo grabbed a rag from the side of the kang (a heated brick bed) and stuffed it directly into He Jianian's mouth.

Captain: "Song, how do you plan to handle this?" It's easier to talk if it's not about her daughter!

"We'll talk about these things later. I can't let the children see these dirty things." After saying that, Song Yan coaxed Wei Ping and Wei An in her arms. The two children seemed to know that their aunt wouldn't be bullied now, so they listened to their aunt and let Sister-in-law Cheng lead them away, looking back every few steps.
