Dongfang William was unhappy because what he saw was not just Lin Qingtong.

There are also Shen Tinghe and Sheng Rushuang.

Shen Tinghe stood behind Lin Qingtong, a slightly oppressive smile playing on his lips.

"I'm so honored to hear that you're going to treat us to dinner."

As soon as Shen Tinghe finished speaking, Lin Qingtong asked with a smile.

"You only told me to come for dinner, you didn't say they couldn't come. Don't you welcome them?"

William found it somewhat amusing, but finally nodded and agreed.

"Of course, please be seated."

And so, their romantic candlelight dinner for two turned into a dinner for four.

William looked at Lin Qingtong in the candlelight, a smile playing on his lips.

"You brought them here, aren't you afraid they'll find out your secret?"

Lin Qingtong slowly and methodically cut the steak, smiling faintly.

"I don't mind."

Shen Tinghe also answered, "We will keep her secret."

William Dongfang glanced at Shen Tinghe and said irritably.

"I invited Miss Lin to dinner, what are you doing here? Trying to be a third wheel?"

Shen Tinghe replied without hesitation, "Only a third wheel would say something like that."

He then handed the steak he had cut to Lin Qingtong.

"You eat."

Shen Tinghe looked up at Dongfang William and said, "Why don't we talk about it over dinner? What exactly do you know?"

Eastern William casually rested his long, slender fingers on his knees, speaking with a lazy and aloof air.

Are you sure you want to know?

Shen Tinghe remained silent to show his attitude.

Then William slowly began to tell the truth he had learned.

"Alright, I'll tell you. A few days ago, I learned something from Lin Qingtong's stepmother."

"Lin Qingtong's father is not Lin Yan, but someone else."

Upon hearing this, Lin Qingtong paused in her actions and looked at Dongfang William in surprise.

"Are you lying?"

If she really wasn't Lin Yan's daughter, then her cold-blooded attitude over the years would make sense.

But something felt off; she had never heard of this from her mother before.

Just as she was thinking this, William from the East continued speaking.

“Your mother doesn’t know about her origins because she was drugged and put into a man’s bed. She thought it was Lin Yan.”

Lin Qingtong was stunned for a moment, then clenched her fists, a look of resentment flashing in her eyes.

Lin Yan is shameless. He actually sent his mother to another man's bed for his own benefit, and he has been accepting the Lin family's help for so many years without any qualms.

Later on, he even went so far as to kill his mother.

After learning the truth, Lin Qingtong lost her appetite and simply put down her knife and fork, quietly gazing at Dongfang William in front of her.

Are you sure you're not lying to me?

William of the East raised his glass in a gesture of respect: "I never lie."

Upon hearing William Dongfang's words, Lin Qingtong pursed her lips and remained silent, then stood up and spoke.

"Thank you for today, but I have more important things to take care of."

Excuse me.

After saying that, Lin Qingtong turned and walked away.

Shen Tinghe took a step and chased after him. When Dongfang William wanted to follow, he was stopped by Sheng Rushuang.

“Mr. Dongfang, you haven’t finished your meal yet. Let me keep you company.”

Shen Tinghe parked his car in front of Lin Qingtong and opened the door to invite her in.

"Get in the car."

Lin Qingtong got into the car with a cold expression, fastened her seatbelt, and looked up at Shen Tinghe.

"Go to the Lin family."

Shen Tinghe immediately understood, stepped on the gas, and headed straight for the Lin family villa. It was already late at night when he arrived.

The lights in the Lin family villa were turned off, and Lin Qingtong opened the door and went inside. As soon as the lights were turned on, Lin Yan and Shen Xue came out.

When Lin Yan saw Lin Qingtong suddenly return, he was still trying to please her, so he immediately started to fawn over her.

"Why are you back? Have you eaten? I'll ask your Aunt Chen to cook for you."

Lin Qingtong glanced at Shen Xue indifferently, her aura bursting forth as she stepped forward to approach.

Who exactly is my father?

A hint of guilt flashed across Shen Xue's face, while Lin Yan asked in surprise.

"What are you talking about? Aren't I your father?"

Lin Qingtong glanced at Shen Xue and immediately burst out laughing.

"It seems you have no idea about the disgusting and filthy things she does behind the scenes."

Shen Xue immediately shouted, "Don't talk nonsense. It's so late. Come to the kitchen with me, and I'll make you something to eat."

She frantically winked at Lin Qingtong, signaling her to go to the kitchen to talk.

Lin Qingtong understood and followed her into the dimly lit kitchen, half of her face hidden in the darkness.

"Will you tell me yourself, or what?"

Shen Xue glanced in the direction of the living room, her eyes filled with a pleading look.

“Your dad doesn’t know anything, don’t tell him.”

Lin Qingtong stared at her silently, then spoke coldly.

"Then tell me the truth."

So Shen Xue lowered her eyes and was able to speak.

“I’ll tell you. I drugged your mother and took her to a hotel room, but it wasn’t your father who showed up; it was someone else.”

"That's why I got pregnant with your sister in the first place."

Lin Qingtong listened to her words with her arms crossed, her whole body radiating coldness.

Who is that person?

She originally thought Shen Xue would answer honestly, but she didn't expect her to take the opportunity to make an exorbitant demand.

"I want fifty million, or you'll never find out who the man is or what kind of person your father is."

Lin Qingtong stared at Shen Xue for a moment before agreeing.

"Then you've agreed on fifty million. Now tell me who that person is, and I'll come back tomorrow."
