On their wedding day, her husband ran off to a foreign country to be with his secretary.
Cheat on me? Let's see who can cheat better! Lin Qingtong turned around and took a strikingly hand...
Su Wanjun didn't want to talk about it, so she looked at Lin Qingtong and asked.
“What are you thinking? According to Shen Xue, the person that night was indeed him, but we need to prove that it was him. We can’t just admit it to him rashly.”
"If he doesn't say, we'll pretend we don't know anything."
Finally, Su Wanjun made arrangements directly for Lin Qingtong.
Upon hearing this, Lin Qingtong chuckled. It seemed that her mother had changed more than she had imagined after what happened last time.
"Mom, I still hope you can be carefree like before. I'll protect you."
Su Wanjun chuckled and gently rubbed Lin Qingtong's little face. "You are my daughter, so it's only natural that I should protect you."
"I was confused before, but I won't be anymore."
Upon hearing Su Wanjun's words, Lin Qingtong smiled and pulled her towards the living room.
When they entered the living room, the doctor had already finished examining Dongfang Qingfeng and given his diagnosis.
"You are in good health, but you are too thin and somewhat malnourished. You just need to pay attention to rest."
Su Wanjun pulled Lin Qingtong to sit down on the sofa, looked at the old man seriously, and spoke earnestly.
"I want to ask, what exactly have you been through all these years?"
Dongfang Qingfeng looked up at Lin Qingtong and answered seriously.
"After I separated from Wanjun, I returned to the Dongfang family and encountered some problems. Only after I resolved them did I dare to go back to China to find Wanjun."
“Although we lived together for a while, those people came back later, and I was worried that something might happen to Wan Jun, so I left without saying goodbye.”
"I thought Wanjun would wait for me, but I didn't expect that she would get married six months later."
He paused here and then suddenly sighed.
"I originally just wanted to say goodbye properly, but I found out that Wanjun had been drugged, so I had no choice but to take action. You should know what happened after that."
Lin Qingtong stared at Dongfang Qingfeng in front of her, not entirely trusting him.
She always felt that this person was hiding something, and he had no intention of telling her the truth.
Are you sure it's just these things?
Dongfang Qingfeng nodded, while Lin Qingtong did not ask any further questions, but instead looked at Su Wanjun in front of her.
"Mom is very tired today, you should get some rest. We've been through a lot too."
So Su Wanjun went to sleep, while Lin Qingtong took a shower and came out to see Shen Tinghe looking at documents in the room.
Lin Qingtong walked over, put her arm around her shoulder, and asked in a low voice.
"What are you looking at?"
Shen Tinghe handed Lin Qingtong the documents with a serious expression.
"Take a look at this."
Lin Qingtong was stunned for a moment. She took it and saw that it was actually a paternity test report, and the people on it were herself and Dongfang William.
She was momentarily stunned, finding it somewhat unbelievable, before finally asking the question.
Where did you get it?
Shen Tinghe pointed to the computer next to him and answered.
“It was sent to me by William of the East. He said you should take a look at these things.”
Lin Qingtong looked somewhat bewildered and sat down directly on the sofa.
"How is that possible? My mother clearly gave birth to only one child, me."
Shen Tinghe reached out and grabbed Lin Qingtong's hand, a glint of light flashing in his deep eyes.
"Actually, you've never confirmed all these years whether you were the only child born back then."
"Logically speaking, there shouldn't be heavy bleeding during the first pregnancy, unless it's twins."
He had barely finished speaking when a gasp came from the doorway, which quickly turned into a sob.
Lin Qingtong immediately looked up and saw Su Wanjun standing at the door. Her face was full of disbelief, and she was holding a soup bowl in her hand.
After putting her things down, she immediately turned and ran away.
Lin Qingtong and Shen Tinghe exchanged a glance and immediately chased after them.
"Mom, tell me what exactly happened back then?"
Su Wanjun cried her eyes out, all she could do was shake her head.
In the dimly lit corridor, she was trembling all over, and tears kept falling.
"Mom, tell me what happened?"
Hearing Lin Qingtong's words, Su Wanjun gradually calmed down.
She gently grasped Lin Qingtong's hand and explained.
“I have never told anyone about this, not even the Lin family.”
“I was pregnant with twins, and I accidentally fell and had to go to the hospital to give birth. In the end, only you survived, and I didn’t tell anyone.”
Lin Qingtong's eyelashes trembled slightly, and she could only accept the fact that they were twins.
Because now that things have come to this, there's nothing he can do but accept it; the truth is laid bare before him.
She remained calm; the most important thing now was to comfort Su Wanjun.
Lin Qingtong smiled and waved her hand, pretending to be completely unconcerned.
"It's okay, they're just twins, they won't affect me."
"Don't worry, Mom, it won't affect our lives at all."
Despite her words, Lin Qingtong remained deeply worried.
How could she possibly accept having an older brother suddenly appear in her life?
Seeing Lin Qingtong like this, Su Wanjun felt extremely guilty and tightly grasped her hand to apologize.
"I'm sorry, Tongtong, it's all my fault. I shouldn't have kept it from you."
Lin Qingtong stepped forward and patted her on the shoulder.
"What are you saying? You're my mother, how could I possibly be angry?"
After receiving comfort from Lin Qingtong, Su Wanjun seemed to feel much better.
"That's good! Oh, right, I made you some soup, go drink it. By the way, where's my soup?"
Su Wanjun looked around, and Shen Tinghe stood at the door, smiling as he reminded her.
"The soup is with me."
