Cheat on Me? I'll Turn to the Capital's Crown Prince to Annoy the Scumbag

On their wedding day, her husband ran off to a foreign country to be with his secretary.

Cheat on me? Let's see who can cheat better! Lin Qingtong turned around and took a strikingly hand...

Chapter Thirty-Three: What are you hiding from me?

Lin Qingtong's brows furrowed, and she snatched the kettle from Su Wanjun's hand, slamming it down in front of Lin Jiaorui, looking down at her condescendingly.

"Drink more."

Lin Jiaorui was immediately frightened. Although she was usually arrogant and domineering, Lin Qingtong was still quite terrifying if she really lost her temper.

Su Wanjun rushed out to protect Lin Jiaorui, and scolded her playfully.

"What's going on? You're already so irritable after just getting back. Jiaorui, you should go back to your room and rest."

After Lin Jiaorui left, Lin Qingtong turned her head and coldly questioned Su Wanjun.

"Mom, did Lin Jiaorui save your life? Are you going to help her like this?"

She asked casually, but to her surprise, Su Wanjun's expression changed, and she waved her hand.

"Pah, pah, pah, don't talk nonsense."

Su Wanjun turned and walked towards the kitchen with an unnatural expression, clearly trying to avoid something.

A strange feeling flashed through Lin Qingtong's mind. Could it be that Lin Jiaorui really saved her mother's life?

But she had no memory of any of it.

Suddenly, she remembered that when she was seven years old, her mother had stayed in the hospital for a long time.

At that time, she asked her father where her mother had gone, but he wouldn't tell her.

Could it be because of this?

Lin Qingtong kept this in mind and asked her mother several times during dinner about what happened when she was seven years old.

Su Wanjun remained vague, only talking about other things.

"How could I remember something that happened so long ago? Let's eat quickly, I made your favorite sweet and sour pork ribs."

She picked up a piece of sweet and sour pork ribs and was about to put it in Lin Qingtong's bowl when Lin Jiaorui stopped her.

Lin Jiaorui snatched the ribs from Lin Qingtong's hand halfway and thanked Su Wanjun with a smile.

"Thank you so much, Wanjun's mom, for making my favorite sweet and sour pork ribs."

After taking the ribs, she deliberately took a big, triumphant bite in Lin Qingtong's direction.

"It tastes better when you steal it from someone else."

Lin Qingtong calmly picked up a piece and ate it, then slowly replied.

"I always work hard for what I want to eat; I never rely on others, and I certainly never steal from others."

Upon hearing this, Lin Jiaorui's face twisted into a ferocious expression for a moment, then she put on a pitiful look and looked at Su Wanjun.

"Wanjun's mother, look, my sister is bullying me again."

Su Wanjun gave Lin Qingtong a meaningful look, her tone slightly reproachful.

"Okay, you two are both in your twenties, yet you're still arguing like children."

She added another piece of pork rib to Lin Qingtong's bowl as a gesture of comfort.

After finishing her meal, Lin Qingtong wanted to leave because the design wasn't completely finished yet.

It seems she marked the dimensions of her wardrobe incorrectly; it was supposed to be in centimeters, but she accidentally marked it in meters.

Although it was just a tiny mistake, Lin Qingtong was absolutely not going to tolerate it and was determined to get it back to the computer and fix it.

But Su Wanjun directly pulled Lin Qingtong's hand and took her back to her room, showing her her childhood photo album.

"Tongtong, look, this is a picture of you when you were little. You used to always follow me around calling for Mom."

Her fingers brushed across the photo album, which contained pictures of Lin Qingtong when she was a child.

Lin Qingtong suddenly thought of something and asked.

Do you have any photos of me from when I was a child?

Su Wanjun smiled gently, looked up and replied, "Of course, I always liked to take pictures of you when you were little."

Then, Lin Qingtong picked up the photo album and flipped through it one by one.

But soon, she realized something was wrong.

There are no photos of him when he was seven years old in the album, no matter how many times I look through them.

Lin Qingtong couldn't help but ask, "Mom, do you have a photo of me when I was seven?"

Su Wanjun paused, her expression clearly unnatural as she answered.

Why are you asking this? I don't remember.

Lin Qingtong stared at Su Wanjun with suspicion.

Just as she was about to speak again, she suddenly heard a noise coming from the living room outside.

Lin Qingtong got up to go out and check, but her mother grabbed her arm and spoke with a look of panic on her face.

"Oh right, I remember now, your childhood photos are on the back. Shall we look at them again?"

Lin Qingtong clearly sensed something was wrong, broke free from her mother's hand, and tried to walk out the door.

Su Wanjun stepped forward again, opened her arms to block him, and said with a smile.

"Sit down, I'll look for another photo of you when you were seven. I'm sure I can find one."

Upon hearing this, Lin Qingtong was absolutely certain that her mother was hiding something from her.

Suddenly, Lin Qingtong remembered that her computer was still outside.

As soon as she unlocked the door, Su Wanjun pulled her back to her room.

Lin Qingtong's gaze sharpened, and she coldly questioned Su Wanjun.

Why are you stopping me? Are you hiding something from me?

Su Wanjun's eyes reddened, and she grabbed Lin Qingtong's arm, pleading softly.

"What am I hiding from you? I just want to talk to you more."

The more she acted this way, the more certain Lin Qingtong became that the other person was hiding something from her.

Lin Qingtong took a few steps back and explained with a smile, "I was just joking with you. Let's sit down and look at the photos."

Su Wanjun breathed a sigh of relief and was about to sit down when Lin Qingtong quickly dodged past her, opened the door, and rushed out.

When they arrived in the living room, Lin Jiaorui and her computer were nowhere to be found.

She immediately strode to Lin Jiaorui's room and pushed the door open abruptly.

The moment the door opened, Lin Jiaorui was holding her laptop, the light from the screen reflecting off her face.

"What are you doing?"

Lin Qingtong questioned him coldly, while striding forward and snatching back her computer.
