Chapter 39: How to Fall in Love with Me
Jiangzhai.
After Bo Jinzhou left with Jiang Yimian, Lu Yiwan completely lost her life and collapsed to the ground.
"A-Jin was snatched away by Jiang Yimian."
“It was still snatched away by that bitch Jiang Yimian,” she cried bitterly, covering her face, her voice sharp and hoarse. “I’ve worked so hard for so many years, I’ve worked so hard for more than a decade, and I finally managed to get A-Jin’s gaze to linger on me for a moment, and in an instant, it was all ruined by Jiang Yimian.”
Su Hui hugged her tightly, feeling sorry for her.
The mother and daughter were crying together.
Lu Wenchang's face turned ashen, and he was trembling with anger. Jiang Yimian had been obedient and compliant over the years, and although there were occasional quarrels, she was completely under his control.
Now, however, she has unknowingly slipped out of his control, which has caused Lu Wenchang to feel immense panic and unease.
This girl is clearly holding back something.
She actually succeeded.
Lu Wenchang was annoyed by the two people's crying.
He scolded, "Stop crying. Will crying solve anything?"
Lu Yiwan struggled to stand up. "Dad, Jiang Yimian has too much dirt on me. We absolutely cannot let her be with A Jin. If I'm finished, the company will be finished too."
Lu Wenchang: "No, the company was left by that old man. No matter how heartless Jiang Yimian is, she wouldn't throw the company away."
Lu Yiwan: "We've all been fooled by her. All that docility she's been putting on all these years has been fake."
She clenched her fist so tightly that her nails dug into her flesh.
He seemed oblivious to the bloodstains, his eyes brimming with hatred and ruthlessness, trembling with rage.
Lu Wenchang patted her shoulder reassuringly, "Don't worry, I will definitely not let her succeed."
Lu Wenchang went to the study and called Bo Qingshan.
He quickly changed his clothes and went out.

Song Zhou brought up the food he had prepared. As soon as Jiang Yimian saw the food, she immediately got off the sofa. "The food is here. What are we having today?"
Song Zhou smiled and said, "It's from the company cafeteria. There's braised fish chunks, braised pork, scrambled eggs with tomatoes, stir-fried baby bok choy, and a winter melon and pork rib soup."
Jiang Yimian's eyes lit up, and she couldn't wait to sit down and watch Song Zhou open the lunchboxes and arrange them one by one.
Bo Jinzhou walked over from the desk, wearing only a black turtleneck sweater with the sleeves rolled up a bit. Above his well-defined knuckles was an expensive wristwatch. He took chopsticks out of the box and handed them to her.
Jiang Yimian's eyes were full of longing for the food. She picked up a piece of fish and put it in her mouth, her face beaming with happiness.
Bo Jinzhou picked up some food for her, saying, "Slow down, don't get a fish bone stuck in your throat."
Jiang Yimian doesn't like to talk while eating, as it affects how quickly she finishes her food.
Jiang Yimian didn't start talking about what happened in the afternoon until she was half full.
"How dare you spread rumors that I married you? Your employees even call me 'wife'."
Bo Jinzhou: "It's the same whether we call about tomorrow sooner or later."
Jiang Yimian muttered, "If you want to take responsibility, there's really no need for that."
Bo Jinzhou glanced at her coldly: "Then what do you think we should do?"
Jiang Yimian replied without hesitation: "Give me the money."
"That's much better, it's not troublesome at all."
Bo Jinzhou scoffed, removed the fatty parts from the braised pork and put the lean parts into her bowl, saying, "Become my wife, and all my money will be yours."
Jiang Yimian's focus, however, was on the fatty meat. She picked it up and said, "Why are you wasting it? The fatty part of braised pork is so delicious. It tastes best when the fat and lean meat are eaten together."
Watching her take a bite of fatty meat, Bo Jinzhou frowned. "You used to dislike fatty meat; you wouldn't eat even a tiny bit."
Jiang Yimian paused for a second, thinking of the past, then continued eating. After swallowing, she said, "That was in the past. People change. I think it's best not to waste food."
Bo Jinzhou remained silent, staring at her for over ten seconds.
Jiang Yimian felt embarrassed by his gaze and touched her face. "Is there any rice in it?"
Bo Jinzhou lowered his gaze, his emotions unreadable. "You've changed quite a bit."
"well enough."
Bo Jinzhou: "Marrying me will only bring you benefits and no harm."
Jiang Yimian: "But I don't like you, and you don't like me. Living together would be so boring."
Bo Jinzhou sneered, "If I didn't like you, would I sleep with you, kiss you, or let you pee on my head?"
Jiang Yimian's face fell: "Can you please stop saying such disgusting things while we're eating?"
Bo Jinzhou was slow to realize his feelings and was too oblivious. It was only after Jiang Yimian repeatedly rejected him, distanced herself from him, and became estranged from him that Bo Jinzhou became certain of his feelings.
He couldn't help but get angry when he saw her getting close to other men; this habit dates back to a long time ago, when he was about fourteen or fifteen years old.
He couldn't remember clearly, only that he got angry when he saw her fooling around with Chu Yao during his ignorant adolescence.
His temper suddenly became very bad. He had always been very stable in his emotions. He was the coldest and most composed one among them. He was proud, arrogant, calm, and scheming. He would not even show his anger.
It was just colder and harder to approach than usual.
But when he saw her playing games with Chu Yao, or making plans to go to the food street and see an art exhibition, he would be so angry that he would ignore Jiang Yimian for days.
He would only be nice to Jiang Yimian if she took the initiative to reconcile with him, coax him, and stay by his side.
He felt that he was afraid his younger sister would go astray, and he was only afraid that she would distance herself from him. He had never thought about anything related to men and women.
Jiang Yimian also realized what he had just said.
Pointing at him and then at herself in utter disbelief, she said, word by word, "You... like me?"
"Bo Jinzhou, don't joke around. You've always treated me like a younger sister, how could you possibly like me?"
"You've only been back for a little over three months, and you've already fallen for me?"
"You were with Lu Yiwan in the US for seven years, seven years! You fell for someone else so quickly. Bo Jinzhou, you're disgusting."
Despite saying that, he stuffed another bite of braised pork into his mouth and gave his evaluation again: "Too romantic."
Bo Jinzhou simply covered the dish with the lid, "Who's the womanizer?"
“When will Jiang Yimian change her attitude of ignoring my words and letting them go as soon as they're spoken?”
"I have no relationship with Lu Yiwan, and we have never been together. I have only ever loved you."
"Did you understand?"
Jiang Yimian curled her lips and said, "If you don't have it, you don't have it. Why are you being so fierce?"
Bo Jinzhou was so angry at her nonchalant attitude that his lungs ached.
He sat down next to Jiang Yimian, grabbed her chin, and kissed her hard. "Did you take it to heart?"
Jiang Yimian nodded, her face masked with pain.
Bo Jinzhou felt that this was not enough to vent his anger, so he pressed her down and kissed her.
When they left, both of them were breathing unevenly. Bo Jinzhou pressed his fingertip against her rosy lips, finally satisfied with the dazed look in her eyes.
A smile played on her lips. "It's okay if you don't like me. I'll start teaching you now."
Jiang Yimian's heart pounded harder and harder as she looked up with bewildered eyes. "What?"
Bo Jinzhou kissed the corner of her lips, his voice husky: "I'll teach you how to fall in love with me."
"Kissing is the first step; you're no longer averse to me kissing you now."
He placed his hand on her heart, feeling the rhythm of her heartbeat. His dark eyes smiled as he gazed at her with deep concentration: "There's already a place for me here with you."
He spoke so convincingly that Jiang Yimian would have almost believed him if she hadn't been sober.
Her heart was beating fast because she was holding her breath.
