Ancient cultivator Tang Jin was caught in a battle between cultivators and exotic beasts over a spiritual treasure and was accidentally transmigrated to another world.
He found himself to be ...

Upon hearing Li Mingxuan's question, Shao Yan felt an instinctive surge of anger rising to his head. This Dr. Li looked so upright, yet he showed no concern whatsoever when it came to state secrets. Did he not want to keep the secrets to himself?
A chill ran through Shao Yan in an instant. Had he fallen into the hands of spies again?
Seeing Shao Yan's increasingly pale complexion, Li Mingxuan rushed forward to check on him. What happened? Impossible!
He had just given Comrade Shao a thorough examination, and Comrade Shao's health had mostly recovered. All that was left was time to recuperate. So why was his complexion getting worse?
Shao Yan forcibly suppressed the anger in his heart. He couldn't let it show; he couldn't let the other party know that he had noticed. He needed to leave this place as soon as possible, or find someone reliable.
"Comrade Shao, what's wrong? Are you feeling unwell? Please tell me."
Li Mingxuan was getting anxious. If any problems arose after the little girl had already been cured, he would be held responsible to the death.
Shao Yan glanced at Li Mingxuan and then quickly turned her head away. "I'm fine, Dr. Li. I want to rest."
As his emotions calmed down, Li Mingxuan could clearly see that his complexion was also improving, and Li Mingxuan breathed a sigh of relief.
"It's good that you're alright, Comrade Shao. Please check your body and see if there's anything else that's bothering you."
Shao Yan thought to herself, "I don't know what kind of drug you gave me that makes me feel nothing. I can't feel any pain at all, and you're still pretending. Spies are really hateful."
Shao Yan glared at Li Mingxuan. Why did he have to become a lackey like those people instead of being a proper Chinese citizen? He was determined to expose him.
Li Mingxuan was glared at by Shao Yan, and he was completely baffled.
In the end, he could only shake his head helplessly, lift the curtain, and go out.
When Chang Yin returned, he was carrying a large box. Seeing that Tang Yue was sleeping in the room, he put the box down and went to the room where Shao Yan was staying.
Li Mingxuan was writing Shao Yan's medical record in the outermost room when Chang Yin walked in directly. "Dr. Li, how is Comrade Shao doing today?"
Li Mingxuan stopped writing. "Well, all vital signs are basically stable, and all the necessary surgeries have been performed. Now he just needs to rest."
"OK."
After hearing what Li Mingxuan had to say, Chang Yin prepared to leave.
Shao Yan recognized Chang Yin's voice; he trusted this man implicitly. It was Chang Yin who had led the Chinese military to rescue him from the hands of the M country.
Hearing that Chang Yin had no intention of coming in to see him, Shao Yan became anxious and hurriedly shouted, "Comrade Chang, I need to see you."
Chang Yin stopped in his tracks, exchanged a glance with Li Mingxuan, and seeing Li Mingxuan shake his head, Chang Yin went directly to the innermost part and pulled back the curtain. Shao Yan felt a little nervous seeing Li Mingxuan following behind Chang Yin.
However, he thought this should be a safe place, otherwise the doctor wouldn't have been watching him without taking any action.
"Um, Comrade Chang, I have something I'd like to discuss with you privately. Could Dr. Li excuse us for a moment?"
Chang Yin and Li Mingxuan exchanged a glance, and Li Mingxuan nodded before leaving the room.
Hearing the door close, Shao Yan, bound and unable to move, still wanted to confirm, "Comrade Chang, do you think that doctor really left?"
He lowered his voice, and Chang Yin lifted the curtain to look at the relatively empty room, then turned back and nodded to confirm.
Shao Yan seemed relieved, then nervously asked Chang Yin, "Comrade Chang, did you bring a gun?"
Chang Yin narrowed his eyes slightly. Seeing that he might have misunderstood something, Shao Yan quickly shook his head slightly, "Comrade Chang, don't misunderstand. I've discovered that Dr. Li might be a spy."
Chang Yin raised an eyebrow, his mind racing for a moment, but he didn't show it on his face. He sat down on a chair by the bed.
"Comrade Shao, please explain in detail."
"Comrade Chang, I'm not making this up. I just discovered this myself."
Seeing Chang Yin nod, Shao Yan continued, "This morning after I woke up, I asked Dr. Li to get me a notebook. I wanted him to help me record some of my research results over the years, but Dr. Li kept making excuses and in the end he didn't get it for me."
That's all.
"Of course not, he kept asking me how I was feeling and if I was uncomfortable anywhere."
Chang Yin continued to nod, and Shao Yan continued, "I know my body like this, there's absolutely no chance of recovery. But I don't know what kind of painkiller Dr. Li gave me, I only feel slight pain in my body, I can't feel anything else, I'm no different from a healthy person."
Chang Yin raised an eyebrow again. It seemed the little girl's medical skills were truly extraordinary. They had no idea how she had managed to treat the patient.
"Not only that, look at my whole body. Even though I can't move at all, Dr. Li still tied me up with so many ropes, as if he was afraid I would escape."
"If he was a spy, why didn't he just kill you?"
Shao Yan frowned. "That's what I find strange too. It must be because the defenses here are too secure, and he has no chance of escaping, which is why he hasn't made a move yet."
Chang Yin completely relaxed. "Comrade Shao, besides these, have you discovered anything else?"
Seeing that Chang Yin didn't seem to care much, Shao Yan was puzzled. He advised, "Comrade Chang, don't take it lightly. Just because he's been preventing me from revealing my research plan, he's a spy."
Chang Yin had heard enough. "Comrade Shao, is it possible that Dr. Li is genuinely concerned about your health?"
"This is impossible. My body has no chance of recovery..."
