Last time, Tang Yue stayed at the guesthouse for a few days and read a lot of the books that Chang Yin brought. Tang Yue felt that her brain was like it could think on its own, and the books she had read could be freely integrated to generate a lot of new knowledge.

Her consciousness deepened, and her mental energy, like fine threads, slowly seeped into the interior of the black box. She could sense the tiny electronic components; they were either cold or hot, still or moving, all within her perception.

Tang Yue frowned. She discovered that the circuit board inside the black box was severely damaged; many lines were broken, and some components were burnt out. It was no exaggeration to say that this was something that should be discarded.

But then she remembered how much Commander Kang and Chang Yin valued this thing, and a desire to challenge it surged within her. Wasn't it because it was broken that it needed repair?

Tang Yue began to communicate with her three tools using her mental power. Er Luo took the lead and unscrewed all the screws on the black box. Da Tou Zhen and Er Luo then disassembled the various parts.

Then Tang Yue began manipulating the pins to work on the broken circuits. First, she gently cut the broken circuits to make the joints, then, based on her intuition, she found the correct connection points, and finally, through the combined efforts of the three of them, they reconnected them.

The three creatures seemed to have discovered a whole new world; they had never played like this before. Their owner was truly something else, far more capable than them. Their owner's ideas were truly unique; how come they hadn't thought of that?

Through Tang Yue's manipulation, the three creatures learned that their functions weren't limited to simply stabbing, twisting, and pounding; they could also cooperate in this way. Moreover, they could even slightly change their form when their owner needed them.

Just like now, the tip of a pin can be sharpened into a cutting knife. A hammer's split wrench can sometimes be used as pliers. It's simply wonderful.

Time ticked by, and fine beads of sweat appeared on Tang Yue's forehead. Her mental energy traversed the inside of the black box, her consciousness completely immersed in this complex world.

She could sense those subtle changes, and each successful connection brought her a great sense of accomplishment.

However, the process did not go smoothly. The damage inside the black box was far more severe than she had anticipated. Some circuits were completely broken and beyond repair; some components were burnt out and needed to be replaced. Tang Yue's mental strength seemed somewhat powerless in the face of these difficulties.

A sense of frustration welled up inside her, but she didn't give up. Since this thing was so important, she had to fix it so that she would have more leverage to negotiate with Commander Kang.

She already knew that a company commander wasn't guaranteed a house in the family compound. Her father hadn't earned any military merits yet, so if she were to become a company commander, she would need the ability to get a special arrangement for her from Commander Kang.

So she had to gamble with this black box, trading its intact condition for the chance for her family to move into the military family compound.

A knock on the door interrupted Tang Yue's thoughts. She went to open it and saw Chang Yin standing outside. Tang Yue was somewhat surprised; shouldn't he be busy with other things?

Chang Yin was followed by Sun Jinan. "Hey, Xiao Yueyue, I brought all your books over."
