Both Chang Yin and Commander Kang frowned slightly upon hearing Tang Shengkai's unconscious question. Commander Kang asked Chang Yin.

"Who made this arrangement? Wasn't it clearly stated?"

After smoothing it out, I mixed some lime and water and applied several layers of it to the mud. When it dried, the whole house was white and bright, and being inside made me feel much more relaxed and cheerful.

In the past few days, many neighbors have passed by my door. Some have come in to say hello, while others have asked me a few questions from the doorway.

At first, Tang Yue didn't understand what was going on, until Xu Zhenfei brought his mother over. Tang Yue then learned that Aunt Kong's husband had been summoned by the military for a talk. He had received a major demerit for failing to properly manage his household.

Aunt Kong was also publicly criticized throughout the entire residential compound for her gossiping. A list of those criticized for lax conduct was posted at the main gate of the compound. Aunt Kong's name was at the top of the list.

She was so ashamed that she didn't dare leave the house these past few days. Moreover, because her husband had received a major demerit, they had several big arguments at home. Her husband even directly threatened her that if she didn't behave herself, he would send her back to the countryside.
