Except for his injured leg, Tang Shengkai is almost fully recovered. Lin Cuicui pulled a thick wooden stick out of the woodpile and handed it to Tang Shengkai to use as a crutch.

Lin Cuicui pushed her family out of the yard in a wheelbarrow, and made sure to lock the gate after they came out.

As Li Guiqin walked towards the gate, she untied her apron. "If Tang Shengkai hadn't come to deliver money, I would have slapped him twice."
