Tang Yue looked coolly into the dense forest. She had only recently come back to her senses and was certain that there were no more Japanese soldiers nearby.

Tang Yue's gaze met that of a massive wild boar with long tusks. She raised an eyebrow and glanced behind the boar. "Oh dear," she thought, "did I disturb a wild boar's burrow?"

Goodness, more than a dozen at once! Tang Yue didn't count them carefully, but there were quite a few.

Before she could even feel happy, a noise from another direction caught her attention. A striped tiger was standing quietly behind a boulder; if it weren't for its slightly heavy breathing, Tang Yue wouldn't have noticed it at all.

Tang Yue knew what was going on. It seemed the stench of blood had alerted all the animals in the mountains. Wasn't there a cheetah over there?

These animals were clever; they must have known they were the victors, so they didn't intend to attack them. The two-legged creatures on the ground were enough to feed them for several meals.

Tang Yue actually had no objections. Even if these corpses weren't eaten by these wild beasts, they would eventually be dealt with by vultures and other microorganisms in the sky. She had read about this in the book.

Seeing that Tang Yue didn't speak but was looking in one direction, Xu Hongchang followed her gaze and was shocked to see so many wild animals.

"alert!"

Bu Mancang and his men had spotted the wild animals, and it seemed there were others heading their way. They didn't intend to attack them; their goal was to collect the weapons and ammunition on the ground as quickly as possible.

Upon hearing the battalion commander's order, the men became even more cautious.

Tang Yue stood up and walked towards the tiger. Xu Hongchang tried to stop her, but Tang Shengkai stopped him. Tang Shengkai knew his daughter wouldn't do anything she wasn't sure of. Besides, not to mention his daughter, even he himself wouldn't be able to handle a tiger.

Tang Yue suddenly had a new idea.

As Tang Yue approached, the tiger growled softly. Tang Yue didn't stop and continued forward. Sensing danger, the tiger took a step back.

Tang Yue flicked her spiritual energy directly onto the tiger's head. Upon receiving the energy, the tiger immediately stopped moving. Its eyes seemed to shine even brighter as it looked at Tang Yue.

Tang Yue walked closer, reached out and touched the tiger's head, channeling her spiritual energy directly into its body. The tiger squinted its eyes in enjoyment, seemingly wanting to lie down and savor the moment.

Tang Yue gently patted its head, "You can eat after we've finished cleaning up."

The tiger seemed to understand Tang Yue's meaning and nodded in a human-like manner.

Tang Yue treated the leopard in the same way, but the wild boars didn't receive the same treatment. Furthermore, Tang Yue didn't intend to let the wild boars eat the Japanese soldiers; she wanted to turn them into food.

She didn't know if they had eaten people before, nor did she want to investigate, but if she saw them eat Japanese soldiers with her own eyes, Tang Yue thought she definitely wouldn't be able to eat pork.

Didn't you see how their eyes lit up when they saw those wild boars?

"Battalion Commander, everything is collected. There are 79 bodies in total. There are 96 guns and 358 rounds of ammunition."

When Wang Junhui came to report, his voice was visibly trembling. They had been in a state of shock, and when the numbers were actually calculated, they found it even more unbelievable.

Tang Shengkai had wiped out an entire company in the past few days. How could they not be excited?

Xu Hongchang had some thoughts in mind, but when he heard the specific numbers, his eyes turned red when he looked at Tang Shengkai. So many people—even if each one swung a knife, it would be quite a sight.

No wonder Tang Shengkai had to deal with them for so long.

"Pack your things and wait for Battalion Commander Chang and the others to arrive. We'll set off immediately."

Li Weiguo stood up. "Battalion Commander, what's that sound?"

Before anyone else could react, Tang Yue had already heard it. She heard it even earlier than Li Weiguo. Since she hadn't had much of a chance to see an airplane before, she was still wondering what it was.

When Li Weiguo brought it up, Tang Yue immediately realized, "It must be Japanese planes coming."

After Tang Yue finished speaking, she looked at the group of people and said, "Quickly, put on the Japanese soldiers' clothes."

Take off your clothes and put them on the Japanese soldiers.

Xu Hongchang was momentarily stunned. Mainly because he hadn't heard anything. Looking up at the sky, he saw nothing either. However, he knew that Li Weiguo had excellent hearing.

"Quickly, do as Company Commander Tang says."

After Xu Hongchang finished speaking, he started to pull down his clothes. Their clothes were long gone, and it was rare to find even a few intact pieces of fabric.

Tang Yue swiftly moved among the Japanese soldiers' corpses, arranging them into various poses: some were sitting together eating, some were patrolling together, and some were looking up at the planes in the sky.

Several others were also helping to build a bridge by holding a large log together.

The men seemed to understand Tang Yue's meaning, quickly changing their clothes and putting them on the Japanese soldiers. Tang Yue, carrying four Japanese soldiers in both hands, flew directly towards the other side of the abyss, moving so fast they felt as if they had just passed through a gust of wind.

Tang Yue arranged the corpses of several Japanese soldiers in a certain position, and was about to go over to get them again when Tang Shengkai came over carrying three more Japanese soldiers' corpses.

Seeing that the way his daughter had positioned the bodies was still a bit risky, and imagining what kind of positions they would take if enemy planes flew over, Tang Shengkai adjusted the positions of the corpses again.

The roar of airplanes in the sky grew clearer and clearer. "Daughter, let's go! Let's get to the other side first."

The two returned, and Tang Shengkai quickly retrieved the logs, leaving one half of it across the abyss. He used the corpses of several Japanese soldiers to weigh it down. After doing all this, Tang Shengkai looked back at Xu Hongchang, who was looking into the sky.
