Ancient cultivator Tang Jin was caught in a battle between cultivators and exotic beasts over a spiritual treasure and was accidentally transmigrated to another world.
He found himself to be ...

The major families in Japan quickly received news that the germ laboratory had been destroyed. They also heard that all the personnel in the laboratory had gone missing, and that none of the first batch of air and land troops sent to rescue them had survived.
This news immediately spurred the major families. Although the germ laboratory was under the Emperor's control, the Japanese parliament and cabinet were not to be trifled with, and the major families had deep-rooted influence, so it would be easy for them to put someone into the laboratory.
So, while the Emperor was ostensibly in control of the germ laboratory, the Diet, the Cabinet, and various powerful families all had a share in it, though their personnel's identities within the laboratory were not obvious.
This news was a secret within each family, known only to the family head and the elders whom the head valued highly.
Take the Hatoyama family as an example. The head of the Hatoyama family, Hatoyama Kawa, has extremely strict control over the entire Hatoyama family. Under normal circumstances, the elders are unaware of any external collaborations.
This also meant that when Hatoyama Ichiro and Hatoyama arrived at the germ lab, they had no idea they could find members of the Hatoyama family, so the two of them directly confronted Yamamoto Seiji.
Perhaps it was the wrong time they came, or perhaps it was their fate; their lives ended in Hegequan's germ laboratory.
As an elder of the Hatoyama family, Futakawa Hatoyama was among the first to receive news of the destruction of the germ laboratory. After learning about it, he felt uneasy, as if he had forgotten something.
When I got home for dinner, my wife reminded me that it seemed like Hatoyama Erhe had recently gone to Hegequan, and asked if Hatoyama Nikawa's children had contacted me.
The spoon belonging to Hatoyama Futakawa fell to the ground with a clatter, startling his wife.
The servants inside were too frightened to move, and the wife could only mutter a few words, "What's wrong with you? How come you can't even hold a spoon?"
At this moment, Hatoyama Fukawa was in no mood to talk to his wife and immediately summoned his confidant to the study.
"Go and check if the Third Young Master went to He Gequan's germ laboratory."
Upon hearing what Hatoyama Futakawa said, the confidant's heart tightened. The explosion at the germ lab was no longer a secret. If the Third Young Master had really gone to Hegequan, it was hard to say whether he would survive.
However, he simply bowed to Futakawa Hatoyama and then turned and left.
Futakawa Hatoyama leaned back in his chair, utterly dejected. Why? Why? Why were his Hatoyama family descendants falling one by one? He was unwilling to accept it, so unwilling.
Hatoyama Futakawa only had this one son as his direct descendant, but he also had other women who bore him many sons. However, Hatoyama Erhe was destined to be different. He hoped Erhe was still alive.
Various powerful families pressured the Japanese Emperor to participate in the pursuit of terrorists. After all 15 planes dispatched by the Emperor disappeared again, the Emperor decided to let the families devote more of their energy to the task.
By the time the planes sent by the various families arrived at the area where the fierce battle had taken place, the sea had already calmed down. After searching for most of the day, they finally located the American ship.
Meanwhile, the American cargo ship was adrift at sea, seemingly on the verge of sinking. Various powerful families immediately began surrounding the ship, hoping to find clues. Unbeknownst to them, if Tang Yue hadn't been constantly supporting it with her spiritual power, the ship would have already sunk to the bottom of the sea, leaving no trace.
Tang Yue wondered if this ship would bring her or the world some surprises.
The news also reached China. Everyone was happy; as Chinese people, no one would be unexcited to hear that something had happened in Japan.
Gu Yanxi had just finished reporting on this mission at the military base and had been locked in a room for several days. Although he had done this countless times before, Gu Yanxi was still somewhat unhappy.
When he came out, he saw Chang Yin waiting outside the gate. Gu Yanxi walked up to him, and Chang Yin asked, "Want a cigarette?"
Gu Yanxi raised an eyebrow. "Battalion Commander Chang smokes?"
Chang Yin took out a pack of cigarettes from his pocket and tossed it to Gu Yanxi. "No. When we were at sea, you said Tang Yue's next stop was Hegequan."
Gu Yanxi had been locked up for many days and was completely unaware of what was happening outside. He lit a cigarette and took a couple of puffs.
"Hmm, the little girl even complained that I was too slow and told me to go to Xijing to meet her." He chuckled as he said this. Indeed, they seemed to be on completely different levels.
"No need to go."
Gu Yanxi paused in tapping his cigarette, then raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean? I haven't received any news that the mission is going to be reassigned."
Chang Yin turned to look at him and said, "Something has happened in Japan. They will probably be on high alert soon. Going there now is not a good idea."
Gu Yanxi took another drag of his cigarette. "A mission is a mission, no matter how difficult it is, we have to carry it out."
"Tang Yue will be back in the next few days, so you don't need to go."
This time, Gu Yanxi fell silent. After thinking for a moment, Gu Yanxi asked, "What happened to He Gequan this time?"
Chang Yin glanced at Gu Yanxi, said nothing, and turned to leave.
Gu Yanxi took a drag of his cigarette, watching Chang Yin's departing figure. It seemed the little girl had stirred up quite a mess this time. Japan, huh, they must be really worried now.
After leaving, Chang Yin went straight to his room and tried to contact Tang Yue again via radio. Three days had passed since his last message, and no matter how many messages he sent during those three days, they all disappeared without a trace, as if they had been thrown into the sea.
This greatly worried Chang Yin. Commander Kang had already reported the matter of the item inside the ring to his superiors. Considering the previous incidents where items appeared out of thin air in Nie Youyu's house in Kyoto, the higher-ups seemed receptive to the possibility of such an incident happening again.
I don't know what Commander Kang discussed, but the current idea from above is to transport these things to secret bases in different locations, categorized by industry. After all, those things can only be of maximum value in those places.
