Tang Bei and Tang Nan's expressions changed. Even worse off than them? How bad must that be? Their attitudes immediately improved considerably.

Xiao Mohe and Xiao Moyu looked bewildered. What was going on? Did they think they were in a worse situation and deserved the sympathy of the two children in front of them?

"Little Yueyue, what brings you to Panyun County?"

"Yeah, just passing by. Where's Xiao Moyan?"

"She's at home reading." Xiao Moyu smiled slightly, but the smile quickly disappeared.

Chang Yin and Sun Jinan had already arrived at the group's side. Xiao Mohe pulled Xiao Moyu aside and said, "Are you going to eat? Then hurry up and go in."

Tang Yue nodded, "Let's go together."

Without standing on ceremony, the two entered the state-run restaurant together. The restaurant's layout was the same as before, only the people were no longer the same. Just then, a clean-looking old lady was wiping the tables. As they entered, Xiao Moyu spoke first, "Grandma, look who's here."

Qin Diao looked up and saw Xiao Yueyue smiling at her. Qin Diao thought she was seeing things, so she rubbed her right hand on her clothes, then rubbed her eyes again. When she opened them again, it was true, it was still Xiao Yueyue.

Qin Diao immediately put down the rag and walked over. "Little Yueyue, is that you?"

Tang Yue was very happy. "Grandma Qin, it's been a long time."

"Hey, hey, long time no see. Haha, little Yueyue, what brings you here? Come on, come sit down."

The group sat down at the table. A waitress from the kitchen, having heard the commotion, came out. Initially displeased to hear that these people knew Qin Diao, she was about to give them a hard time. However, upon seeing that they were all wearing military uniforms, her expression immediately changed.

The waiter approached with a fawning expression, "Oh, your surname is Qin, no, Old Qin, who are these people who came to see you? You didn't even introduce us."

Tang Yue and the others' expressions immediately changed. It seemed that what Tang Yue and the others thought was good was not really good.

Qin Diao's expression didn't change much. "Little Yueyue, Battalion Commander Chang, what would you like to eat? I'll have the head chef make it for you."

The waiter was displeased and pushed Qin Diao aside, saying, "Go away, what business is it of yours to serve the food? You have no sense at all."

Tang Bei and Tang Nan couldn't stand it anymore and tried to lift their butts, but Xiao Mohe and Xiao Moyu pressed them down. Sun Jinan laughed from the side, "I didn't know that people in your state-run restaurant are divided into different classes."

The waitress sensed something was off about Sun Jinan's words and wanted to retort, but seeing the clothes these people were wearing, she held back.

Tang Yue got up and went into the kitchen. An elderly man was washing vegetables. When he saw a little girl come in, he glared at Tang Yue and said, "Little girl, get out of here. This is not a place for a child like you."

Although his words were harsh, it was clear that the old man meant no harm.

"Are you the head chef? We'd like to order a few dishes."

The old man stood up, noticing the little girl's clothes. "So, what do you want to eat?"

Can I make braised pork?

The old man lifted his eyelids and glanced at her. "Okay, anything else?"

"You can do whatever you want with the rest. We'll eat whatever's available; we're not picky."

The old man snorted, "This isn't picky? He's practically asking for the moon! What era are we living in? This kid's first thought is braised pork!"

When Tang Yue came out, she saw the waitress still circling around their table, seemingly wanting to chat with Chang Yin a bit more. She had just overheard that this man was a battalion commander; she'd heard that battalion commanders could accompany their troops.

She wanted to ask if the battalion commander had a girlfriend. If not, that would be best.

Tang Yue walked up to the waitress and said, "I've never heard of such good service from waitresses in state-run restaurants."

The waitress initially didn't want to pay her any attention, but then she thought about it again and smiled, "Little sister, have you ordered yet? Do you need my help?"

Tang Yue nodded, then turned to Chang Yin, "Dad, would you like anything else to eat?"

With a "boom," it felt like everyone's heads exploded. Chang Yin's face twisted uncontrollably. Sun Jinan almost spat out his water.

That wasn't even the most shocking part. After receiving the full information, the waitress simply couldn't accept this fact. Her voice rose, a shrill, ear-piercing tone, "What? You have a child?"

After saying that, he glared at Chang Yin a few times, then left without looking up.

The group exchanged bewildered glances. Tang Yue sat leisurely in her chair, swinging her legs. Sun Jinan belatedly realized what was happening and coughed lightly, "Um, Battalion Commander, that waitress just now... she... she's got her eye on you."

Chang Yin had regained his composure. He glanced displeasedly at Sun Jinan, then turned to Tang Yue, "Dad?"

Tang Yue looked at her and said, "Your gender is wrong. If you really want to call someone, you can only call them 'Mom'!"

"Pfft!" Sun Jinan couldn't escape the saliva in the end. Tang Bei and Tang Nan couldn't help but laugh. When did their sister become so unconventional? She really wasn't like their sister.

Chang Yin was speechless, staring at Tang Yue without saying a word. Tang Yue looked back at him. "What? Battalion Commander? Are you upset that I ruined your plans? You didn't actually fall for that waitress, did you?"

Tang Yue looked thoughtful, then shook her head and said, "But to be honest, Battalion Commander, that girl just now, she really doesn't deserve you."

Qin Diao sat down next to Tang Yue, who smiled and agreed, "Yes, that guy really doesn't deserve Battalion Commander Chang."

The moment she spoke, the cheerful atmosphere vanished. Tang Yue turned to Qin Diao and asked, "Grandma Qin, does she often bully you?"

Qin Diao smiled and shook her head, "No." Hearing their grandmother say this, Xiao Mohe and Xiao Moyu, who were standing to the side, immediately showed a look of disappointment on their hopeful faces.
