Ancient cultivator Tang Jin was caught in a battle between cultivators and exotic beasts over a spiritual treasure and was accidentally transmigrated to another world.
He found himself to be ...

"What else? You're stammering like a woman."
The young soldier took a deep breath and shouted in a booming voice, "It's meat! Lots and lots of meat. All kinds of meat, and it's all very fresh!"
Upon hearing this, Commander Huang couldn't bear it any longer and immediately ran over to check. All the soldiers, who hadn't shown any surprise at the various building materials, couldn't contain their astonishment when they saw the mounds of flesh piled up like small mountains.
Tang Yue was unaware of all this; she had already returned to Ke Qiang's country compound. Liu Ting waited in the ticket office until noon before finally seeing her three sons, all neatly dressed, being herded to the train station by a group of people.
For a moment, Liu Ting felt a pang of pity, but when she thought about how they had treated her and how they had ignored their father for so long, she no longer softened her heart.
Since she and Lao Ke failed to educate these people properly, let the state help them.
Those people all looked disheveled, having boarded the train with nothing. The wives cried and sobbed the whole way, but no one paid them any attention.
Liu Ting noticed that only the second son's children seemed to be accepting things well, and those people didn't seem to be as harsh on the second son's children.
Watching them all enter the train station, Liu Ting returned home feeling completely lost.
Seeing the mess in the house, Liu Ting wasn't surprised at all, not because Tang Yue had told her beforehand. It's just that she'd already experienced something like this once; how could those people be expected to reason with her?
But actually, she didn't want to live here. Because then she would be reminded of those unfilial children and grandchildren every day.
When Tang Yue arrived, she saw Liu Ting standing absentmindedly in the messy courtyard, her eyes unfocused. She seemed lost in thought.
"Grandma, have you had lunch?"
Liu Ting snapped out of her daze and saw that it was Tang Yue. She was happy for a moment, but then she was puzzled. "Child, we just met, why are you helping Grandma like this? Grandma really has nothing to give you. Grandma doesn't even know if there will be a future for us."
Tang Yue didn't want to tell Liu Ting, but she also didn't like being wronged like this. Her voice was calm and even, "I know Old Ke."
Liu Ting turned her head abruptly, disbelief in her eyes. She had never heard Lao Ke mention knowing such a child. Tang Yue's lips curled slightly. "We met in Northeast China. He lived in a cowshed with Old He."
In an instant, Liu Ting felt as if her blood had frozen. Even though she knew this would be the outcome, hearing the confirmed news still felt incredibly difficult for her to accept.
It took her a long time to calm herself down. "Old Ke, is he alright?"
Tang Yue nodded and then shook her head. Liu Ting was getting anxious. Tang Yue didn't keep her in suspense any longer. "To be precise, if I hadn't happened to be there that night, Old Ke and Old He would have frozen to death."
Liu Ting's tears flowed uncontrollably as she nodded, "Yes, the environment there is so harsh; it's a miracle anyone is still alive. Are they still alive now?"
"Yes, they're alive, and thriving. Have you thought about visiting them?"
Tang Yue suddenly realized that this movement was still ongoing and the elderly couple were already quite old; it was unclear how many more years they could live. Since they had the means, there was no need for them to live apart.
"Can I go?" Liu Ting's voice trembled; she herself couldn't believe it was possible.
Tang Yue thought about it and felt it wasn't too difficult. "It should be possible. If you want to go, I'll find a way for you. However, the conditions there are not like in Kyoto. It snows heavily for about half the year, and it's bitterly cold."
Liu Ting quickly shook her head, "I'm not afraid. I can hold on. If it weren't for Lao Ke's insistence on keeping me here, I would have preferred to go with him."
It's better than seeing her sons' ugly faces. Her heart aches so much.
Tang Yue thought for a moment, "Okay, you should go back to your room and rest for a while. You're not feeling well right now, so even if you go, you'll need to rest for a few days. You can only leave when you're feeling better."
Liu Ting nodded quickly, tears streaming down her face. Tang Yue shook her head, "Think about it, you'll be reunited with Grandpa Ke soon, that's a good thing, you don't need to be so sad. Once you've recovered and are back, Grandpa Ke won't worry about you anymore."
As for her mother's matter, she'll just have to wait for Grandpa Ke to talk to his wife about it himself. After all, this is just Tang Yue's guess.
Watching Tang Yue leave again, Liu Ting felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. A thought truly crossed her mind: should she actually take some of those things out to thank this child?
After leaving Liu Ting's courtyard, Tang Yue felt a little lost. Who should she ask to handle this matter? Mr. Qi? Forget it, this matter is too trivial; there's no need to trouble Mr. Qi.
Perhaps she should go find the battalion commander's grandfather. However, they didn't seem to know each other very well, and it didn't seem appropriate for her to just go there so abruptly. After thinking it over, Tang Yue's steps unconsciously led her to the location of the Red Army Association.
Tang Yue looked up and thought, "Oh well, I might as well not bother two people with this. I'll just go with Director Zhao."
Director Zhao could hardly believe his ears after hearing what this "composed man" said. "Are you kidding me? Sending people to the countryside is a job for young people. You want me to send an old lady to the countryside? What are you thinking?"
Tang Yue shrugged indifferently, "It's just a title. She's so old, she definitely can't work in the fields. The conditions there aren't good either; she's just going there to retire."
Director Zhao was so angry at Tang Yue that he laughed. "Do you know how outrageous your request is? It's impossible, I can't do it. Even if you executed me right now, I still couldn't do it. This doesn't make sense. People will laugh at you if you bring this up."
