Chapter 22

The company's conference room was brightly lit, the air thick with caffeine and a buzz of activity. A preparatory meeting for the music awards ceremony was underway, with planning manager CC detailing the event's procedures, stage design, and personnel divisions. Feng Ling sat in the back, meticulously taking down key points, feeling the unique tension and excitement of the eve of a major event.

Suddenly, CC changed the subject, his gaze passing over several people and landing precisely on Feng Ling: "Feng Ling, I remember you wrote street dance in the specialty column on your resume, right?"

Feng Ling was stunned for a moment, then reacted and nodded quickly: "Oh, yes! I learned it before."

"OK," CC clapped his hands quickly. "That's perfect. You don't have to work with the materials team anymore. You'll be with Teacher Qingfeng's stage team, responsible for coordinating the artist's program arrangements and communicating their needs."

"Okay, got it!" Feng Ling suppressed her excitement and nodded solemnly. This was a godsend! Not only could she see various celebrities up close, but she could also observe professional choreography. For her, a former dancer and current media student, this was undoubtedly the practical opportunity she had always dreamed of.

After the meeting, Feng Ling boarded a business car with the capable stage director, Qingfeng, for the rehearsal base. In the car, Qingfeng quickly explained the upcoming work, the coordination process, and a series of precautions—the absolute confidentiality of the celebrities' privacy, the specifics of collaborating with third-party dance troupes, and emergency response procedures. Feng Ling listened with a mixture of excitement and pressure, taking notes rapidly in her notebook.

"Don't be too nervous," Qingfeng said, smiling reassuringly at her serious expression. "Let's just follow the procedures and communicate more. It won't be a big problem. The biggest headache for this event is actually the security department."

"Ah? Why? Is it because there are too many invited stars?" Feng Ling asked curiously.

"Hey, what big event doesn't have a lot of stars? We're used to it." Qingfeng waved his hand, a hint of helplessness in his tone. "This time it's different because we invited BOW. You have no idea how crazy their fans are. The support is incredible! They use all kinds of tricks you can't even imagine. The security pressure is enormous."

BOW……

The name made Feng Ling's heart skip a beat. She hadn't expected to cross paths with him again at work so soon. She couldn't tell whether she was nervous, flustered, or perhaps... expectant.

After following Qingfeng to several practice studios and artist dressing rooms, Feng Ling gradually settled into her groove. She forced herself to focus on her work, clearly and systematically recording the progress of each show, the artist's specific needs, and any problems she encountered in her notebook, acting like a qualified assistant.

As she was concentrating on recording the sound requirements from the previous team, she subconsciously followed Qingfeng into a spacious and bright rehearsal room. The deafening sound of music and the powerful beat instantly enveloped her.

She raised her head.

In front of a huge floor-length mirror, six young men, dressed in loose training uniforms and bare-faced, looked fresh and handsome. Following the dance teacher's instructions, they changed formations in unison. Their movements were clean and sharp, brimming with youthful energy. And just as she looked up, she was caught off guard by a familiar pair of eyes in the mirror.

The owner of those eyes had clearly noticed her, their dancing movements unwavering, but their gaze remained focused on her for a brief moment. Feng Ling was startled for a moment, then reacted. In the mirror, she gave him a barely perceptible nod, a greeting that also revealed her current identity as a staff member.

The song ended, the music stopped, and the boys breathed slightly and relaxed.

Qingfeng led Feng Ling straight to the team's manager, who stood nearby with a capable aura. "Jingjing, we've really found a gem this time. This is incredible." Qingfeng, clearly an old acquaintance, exchanged pleasantries and got straight to the point. "This is our intern Feng Ling. Bring her over here. Is there anything we need to coordinate for our show?"

The agent, known as Sister Jingjing, patted Qingfeng on the shoulder and said quickly, "You're just in time. I was just looking for you. I feel like it's a bit empty for them to stand on the main stage alone. It can't hold up such a large venue. We need some background dancers. Also," she paused, glancing at An Hesu, "I'd like an experienced female dancer to add a storytelling duet with our lead dancer to add some interest and buzz."

"No problem," Qingfeng agreed readily, turning to Feng Ling and saying, "Feng Ling, write down these two points and contact the appropriate dance troupe and dancer immediately when you get back."

"Okay." Feng Ling took out a pen and was about to take notes.

At this moment, Ankhsu, who had been standing silently beside him, wiped the sweat from his forehead with a towel and walked over. In a calm voice, with a slight breath after exercise, he said to the agent:

"Sister Jingjing, let's go to the Xihe Dance Club. I used to practice dancing there, so we're all familiar with it and won't need much adjustment to coordinate with each other."

Upon hearing this, Sister Liangliang turned around and looked at Qingfeng with a questioning look.

Qingfeng thought for a moment and nodded, "Xihe is fine, her skills are good, we often work together, and she's reliable. What about the female dancer? Do you have any suitable candidates to recommend?"

Everyone's eyes subconsciously turned to Anhesu, waiting for his advice.

An Hesu raised his hand, and without any hesitation, his slender fingers pointed directly at Feng Ling, who had just closed the notebook and was still a little dazed.

"She's fine."

His voice was not loud, but it echoed clearly in the short break, with an unquestionable certainty.

For a moment, the rehearsal room seemed to quiet down. Feng Ling felt as if all eyes, including those of Teacher Qingfeng, her manager, Sister Liangliang, and the curious glances of several other team members, were suddenly focused on her.

Her heart skipped a beat at that moment.
