Chapter 84 Robin vs. the Crown Prince: The struggle has always been this way. ...
The crowd surged out of Wayne Tower, and Wen Yue and Jason went against the flow, taking the elevator directly to the top floor, to Wayne's chairman's office.
The affairs of the Wayne Group were actually mainly handled by Lucius Fox. Tim only filled in for Bruce Wayne, the chairman, in meetings, and did so infrequently. So he simply shared an office with Wayne.
Wen Yue entered Wayne's office, which felt both familiar and unfamiliar. The interior was somewhat empty. Last night, Batman and the Silence disguised as Bruce Wayne had a showdown here. Many of the decorations in the office were damaged in the battle and had not yet been replaced after cleaning.
Standing at the door, she scanned the office; it was empty, and her target was nowhere to be seen. The operation hadn't gone as smoothly as expected. Wen Yue pondered and guessed: Could they be taking a nap?
Tim stayed up almost all night last night and still has to work today. He took a nap during his afternoon break and was so tired that he slept very soundly, so it's understandable that he didn't hear the alarm.
Wen Yue hadn't considered the possibility that Tim would evacuate with the crowd. As the current Robin of this world's Batman, players believed that Tim would investigate the cause and deal with the problem as soon as he heard the alarm.
The computer on Wayne's desk was a top-of-the-line Batcomputer, the perfect tool for dealing with a compromised security system, yet there was no one in front of it. Wen Yue circled the desk, confirming that no one was hiding there.
“Knight, Young Master Wayne isn’t here. Otherwise, let’s just grab a valuable ornament and leave. That way, our trip won’t be a complete waste.” Wen Yue presented Jason with a gold model of Wayne Tower.
"Put down the ornaments and pick up the gun." Jason said in a low voice, pressing the switch in his hand without hesitation. He still had control of the security system, and the entire building was instantly sealed off. "Search the area. He can't escape."
The innocent civilians have been evacuated, leaving only the superheroes who won't abandon their posts in this crisis. Today, the second Robin and his successor, the third Robin, will clash here. Jason expands his search area, looking for his target; he will prove Batman wrong.
"We've found our target, keep up." A corner of the yellow cape left a blur around the bend as Jason quickly caught up with the target.
Just as Wen Yue was about to follow, the pastor's certificate in her pocket emitted a burning heat, causing her to pause and look down to examine it.
[PS: Batman is watching you.]
Under the player's gaze, the writing lingered for three seconds before slowly disappearing.
Wen Yue's brows furrowed, her unusually serious expression revealing a hint of coldness. After a pause, she sped up and chased after Jason in the direction he had left.
—If it's the local Batman of this world, the world's consciousness won't specifically remind the player.
When the player arrives at the battlefield, Jason and Tim are facing off. Jason, wearing Arkham armor, is blocking the way, while Tim, dressed in Robin's uniform, is facing him across the wide corridor. The player's arrival blocks Tim's path.
"Looks like you're not going anywhere." Jason grinned, a playful smirk on his face, like a cat toying with a mouse. This was the first time the player had ever seen an Arkham Knight smile.
With his front and rear routes blocked, Tim's footsteps were geared towards the players behind him, as he intended to use them as a breakthrough point.
“Point the gun at him.” Jason took a step closer.
"Isn't this to deal with Young Master Wayne?" Wen Yue's acting was spot-on as she mounted a submachine gun.
“He’s Tim Drake, just wearing a fake Robin’s uniform.” Jason pointed to Tim’s lower body and ordered, “Fire! Aim at his calves, shoot.”
Helpless, Wen Yue did as instructed, loaded the bullet, aimed at the floor beneath Tim's feet, and pulled the trigger.
A hail of bullets whistled towards Tim's feet, and the pungent smell of nitrate filled the enclosed room.
Tim was forced to tiptoe and quickly alternate his feet to dodge the bullets. His footsteps strangely matched the rhythm of the gunfire, and his dynamic movements became somewhat chaotic under the barrage of bullets.
Tim emptied his magazine with his technically superb aiming technique, stopping unscathed amidst the hail of bullets. At first glance, only the floor was 100% damaged, and Wen Yue secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
"Not bad movement skills," the player said to Tim with his eyes closed, offering empty praise.
"Not bad with your marksmanship," Jason replied coldly, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
Upon glancing up and meeting Jason's ashen face, the player nervously clutched his submachine gun, his gaze darting away.
"Are you two having a dance battle?" Jason was furious that the players were throwing the match so blatantly. "I told you to hit my legs, not my feet." Jason's fists were hard, and he wanted to give both of them a good beating.
After a moment of surprise, Tim seemed to realize something and charged toward the player at lightning speed.
Wen Yue hugged herself tightly with a submachine gun: Are you not going to shoot the players?
As it turns out, the player was overthinking things. Tim just wanted to escape, brushing past the player and making a quick getaway without looking back.
Wen Yue turned around and saw Jason walking angrily towards her. She froze, realizing she was in real trouble.
Jason grabbed the player by the collar, his eyes narrowing dangerously: "Give me a reason for your performance just now."
"I'm a little clumsy this first time." The player handed over the gun with trembling hands and said sheepishly, "Sorry, Knight, please give me another chance."
"How many chances have I given you? You'd better really be inexperienced." Not wanting to delay the operation any longer, Jason took the player's submachine gun and continued the pursuit of the target.
Watching Jason walk away with the empty magazine, Wen Yue smiled slightly and leisurely followed behind.
On the rooftop, in this forgotten, secluded corner of Wayne Tower, Tim waited by the edge of the railing for the two who would catch up. He accessed the system backend after the alarm sounded, and realizing Jason's familiar style, he didn't rush to crack the code or countermeasures. Instead, he left a passage to the rooftop, intending to have a calm and peaceful conversation with Jason there.
“Let’s end this masquerade game here.” Tim looked at the two blocking the door and said sincerely, “We can talk, Jason.”
The player turned to look at Jason, and Jason also turned to look at the player.
"He's calling you." The atmosphere was incredibly tense. Wen Yue nudged Jason's waist with her elbow to remind him.
"Why isn't he calling you?" Under Jason's sharp gaze, the player suddenly realized that his alias was also Jason, and he had just forgotten about it.
"..." Wen Yue remained silent, drenched in sweat.
Tim, who was ignored by everyone, was dumbfounded: "?"
Tim's words fell to the ground, ignored by everyone else present. A gust of wind swirled through the three-person room, chilling the atmosphere to the bone.
"You'd better tell me your real name honestly after this." Jason broke the silence, patted the player on the shoulder, and the player shuddered.
"Definitely, definitely." Wen Yue shrank back and forced an awkward smile.
“There’s nothing to talk about between us.” Jason finally had time to deal with the third party in the room, his tone grim: “As for the substitute, I’ll beat you up.”
Jason stepped forward, but Wen Yue quickly pulled him back, saying, "Wait." Tim hasn't been trained by Mrs. Shiva yet, so he's no match for Jason.
"Give me a chance to prove myself. Raven, bring me my sniper rifle." Wen Yue shook the raven hidden in her clothes. The lazy raven had already digested the alcohol; she was sleepy now, not drunk. Lazily poking out her head, she opened one eye and closed the other, then lightly flapped her wings, giving the player an RPG.
Since precise strikes are not powerful enough, let's use a dimensional reduction attack to sweep away the entire situation.
The player hoisted the rocket launcher, aimed at Tim, quietly activated the omniscient view, and nimbly adjusted his position. However, Jason suddenly pressed down on his hand as he was adjusting the sniper rifle.
“Not at all.” Jason managed to utter three words, surprised that they would come out of his mouth. He didn’t intend to send Tim to meet his maker; he just wanted to give the current Robin a good beating and teach him a lesson.
"Don't worry, Jason." Wen Yue dropped the pretense. She casually brushed aside the obstacle to her sniping. The rocket launcher was loaded and couldn't be put down; the player had already found the target. "I was just trying to scare him."
"Watch me win this round for you." The player struck a cool sniping pose and fired decisively.
With a pinpoint aim, the rocket launcher grazed past Tim at a great distance before hurtling towards the towering buildings behind him.
"Boom—" Flames and smoke filled the sky, accompanied by a loud bang that flattened the corner of the building. The Arkham Knight's specially modified RPG was incredibly powerful.
Her gaze swept over the fleeting black shadow in the building, and Wen Yue narrowed her eyes: "Almost." It's a pity it was more powerful; it would have made it harder for the opponent to escape.
"Almost? The gap is as wide as the Pacific Ocean!" The rocket launcher and Tim were completely out of reach. Jason looked at the priest who had given up an entire ocean of water and couldn't take it anymore: "Do you even know how to snipe? If you can't, just lie down with Raven."
"Okay then." Wen Yue turned around, picked up the tube, and ran away, preparing to leave the scene early. Now was a good time to press her advantage.
"return!"
With a low shout, Wen Yue reluctantly returned to her original position. Never mind, there's no rush.
Jason Hongwen: "If you dare to leave, never come back."
Wen Yue glanced at Jason, whose words were contradictory, and muttered under her breath, "Do you think I'm someone you can summon and dismiss at will?" That's outrageous.
The cold touch of the gun barrel on her forehead made Wen Yue's expression change, and she immediately knelt down without hesitation: "I meant you don't need to give any orders. I have high emotional intelligence and I can read people's expressions."
The obsequious players were pushing the boundaries. Jason closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and could only forgive them: "Do you think we have a lot of time? Let's finish this quickly and stop causing trouble." The players' antics were endless; he really didn't have time to play along.
Wen Yue blinked her innocent blue eyes and nodded frantically.
The players finally quieted down, and Jason continued his standoff with Tim.
“Jason, come back. I’m so sorry, I thought you were dead… Bruce hasn’t forgotten you, and he hasn’t given up on you. He misses you, and Alfred misses you too…”
"Shut up, this is our war." Don't drag other people into this.
Despite Tim's calm and persistent persuasion, Jason, who wouldn't listen to a word, became aggressive, and the two engaged in close combat.
"Ha, it's pointless to talk to someone of the same kind." The player stood with his hands behind his back, his robes fluttering as he stood on the edge of the rooftop, exuding a strong sense of (grave) atmosphere. He raised his face and said proudly, "The struggle for the crown prince has always been like this."
"Shut up too," Jason hissed at the player during a lull in the fight.

Raven: Precision strike? No, a dimensional reduction strike!
Laughing wildly at the player: Your sniper rifle, my sniper rifle, they seem different...
A maniacal laugh at the raven: The Demon Orb descends upon the world.
