Crossing with Space, I Was Doted On By The Whole Group

Lu Qiqi transmigrated into a chaotic world of famine. With no parents and carrying a little sister in tow, she had to face immense hardship.

On the road during her escape, while others drank ...

Chapter 317 Finding the Yuan Family

Lu Qiqi yanked off the straw mat, and the quilts and pillows on it were also overturned by her.

The crack in the bed board was short, only three inches long, and the pale red color seemed to have seeped into the wood, making it look quite eerie and strange.

At this moment, Wangcai stopped growling and instead bent his knees and crawled under the bed.

The bed in the Yuan family wasn't high, only reaching knee level, but it was still too low for Wangcai's physique.

Lu Qiqi squatted down and saw Wangcai crawling under the dark bed. She immediately realized that Wangcai had probably discovered something.

Then she heard footsteps stop behind her.

Lu Qiqi made a quick decision and said, "Wangcai, come out."

After saying that, she immediately stood up, glanced behind her out of the corner of her eye, and listened carefully to the sounds behind her.

The people standing behind her fell silent when they heard the call for Wangcai to come out.

Lu Qiqi quickly turned around, and as soon as she turned around, she saw Zhao's father standing behind her, with Li Changlong standing next to him.

Lu Qiqi stared intently at Zhao's father and said, "Second brother, call the villagers in to move the bed."

Upon hearing this, Li Changlong nodded and left the room.

Lu Qiqi and Zhao's father locked eyes, trying to discern something unusual in Zhao's eyes, but unfortunately, Zhao's father remained expressionless, as if he were a wooden figure.

Zhao Zhiwei reacted strongly; when the villagers came in, he was the first to step forward and lend a hand, helping them move the beds.

Wangcai scratched at the wall a few times, then squatted down on the ground and remained motionless.

The wooden houses built by the villagers are all made of rammed yellow mud, and the colors vary in shade.

Lu Qiqi looked at Zhao's father's face and said coldly, "Dig."

dig?

The villagers were quite puzzled by Lu Qiqi's words.

Why do we have to dig into the ground to find someone?

Could it be that there's some reason why the Yuan family went missing in this place?

The villagers were undecided and looked to Zhao Xiaodong for advice.

Zhao Xiaodong was completely baffled. He never expected that Lu Qiqi would send the villagers to dig a hole.

But since Lu Qiqi has spoken up, we have to bite the bullet and dig it out.

At worst, I can just buy a couple of jugs of good wine and come to Zhao Zhiwei's house to apologize.

Zhao Xiaodong asked, "Zhiwei, where is your woodshed?"

Zhao Zhiwei was so concerned that he lost his composure. He didn't even consider how absurd Lu Qiqi's words were. He turned around and led the villagers to his woodshed, grabbed shovels and hoes, and started digging holes in Yuan's room.

As time went on, the pit inside the house was dug bigger and bigger, but the villagers still found nothing.

Lu Qiqi gave Li Changlong a wink, and Li Changlong stood behind Zhao's father, watching his every move.

In fact, even without Li Changlong watching, Master Zhao had already seen his elder brother's actions.

He even had a terrible thought, but he immediately dismissed it, not wanting his suspicions to come true.

Zhao Xiaodong led the villagers to dig halfway down, but still found nothing.

Lu Qiqi didn't believe it. Zhao's father's unusual behavior in the room, along with Wangcai's reminder, were enough to convince her that there must be something down there.

"Let the villagers come up, I'll go down and take a look."

Lu Qiqi's words prompted three villagers to climb out of the pit, leaving only Zhao Xiaodong below.

Lu Qiqi jumped down into the pit. The soil there had been compacted, so even though she jumped down, she didn't feel the soil was soft; instead, she felt a jolt in her legs.

Lu Qiqi looked around the pit but didn't find anything unusual.

Just as she was about to give up, Lu Qiqi suddenly noticed that Zhao Xiaodong was standing on something.

She said, "Lift your leg."

Zhao Xiaodong was a little confused, but he did as he was told and stepped aside a few paces.

Lu Qiqi walked to the spot where Zhao Xiaodong had just stood, squatted down, and saw a piece of cloth in the yellow mud.

The fabric has been eroded by time, making it impossible to see its original appearance, and it is somewhat tattered.

She reached out and pulled, and the piece of cloth seemed quite large; she even pulled up some of the yellow mud.

No, this doesn't seem to be fabric for making clothes.

Lu Qiqi rubbed the fabric a few times with her hands, and some of the yellow mud on it came off, revealing the evenly spaced fine pores.

She raised an eyebrow, thinking to herself, 'This is clearly a mosquito net.'

Lu Qiqi stood up and glanced in the direction of Zhao's father, only to see that his eyes were somewhat evasive.

She then knew she had found the right direction.

So she said loudly, "Keep digging, dig out this piece of cloth."

As soon as Lu Qiqi finished speaking, Zhao's father staggered back a few steps.

It was Zhao Zhiwei's quick reflexes that helped the man up, preventing Zhao's father from falling.

Zhao Zhiwei said, "Dad, are you feeling unwell? Would you like me to help you to my room to rest for a while?"

Zhao's father didn't look at Lu Qiqi. He lowered his head and seemed to be in some pain. Then he slowly nodded.

As Zhao Zhiwei helped the people out, Lu Qiqi climbed up from the bottom of the pit, whispered a few words in Wangzai's ear, and then gave Li Changlong and Zhou Yi a wink.

Zhao Zhiwei helped his father into his own room, and then returned to Yuan's house.

The villagers are still digging, and the more they dig, the more fabric they find, layer upon layer, which presents a considerable challenge for them in order not to damage the fabric.

"We dug it up! We dug it up! It's a tent!"

A villager shouted happily.

They never expected that the fabric was hidden at the bottom of the wall.

Just as the villagers who dug the pit were feeling happy.

A villager reached out to pull the curtain, and with a forceful pull, he managed to pull the entire curtain out.
