He had been watching the two of them through the rearview mirror and noticed that Lili looked familiar. He had recognized her when they first met, but he couldn't quite place her.

The three arrived at the restaurant. Lili walked a little slowly, so Ning Yizhan asked, "Should I carry you?"

Lili opened her arms and said, "Thank you, Uncle."

Ning Yizhan picked her up. Lili wasn't heavy; she was light and soft. It was Ning Yizhan's first time holding a child, and the feeling was quite magical.

Upon arriving at the private room, Qiu Hu began ordering food, choosing several dishes that even a child could eat. While waiting for the food to be served, little Lili started chatting again. Since Ning Yizhan had just held her, she included him in the conversation, asking, "Uncle, I'm almost four years old, how old are you?"

“I’m twenty-five,” Ning Yizhan replied, his tone devoid of emotion.

"Oh, my godmother is twenty-two years old, and my uncle is twenty-five years old. So, twenty-five minus twenty-two equals?" Little Lili counted on her fingers, "Three. My uncle is three years older than my godmother."

After calculating, he asked, "My godmother has known me for two years. How many years have you known my godmother?"

"Eighteen years," Qiu Hu said, surprised. "That long?" Then he thought about it and realized it was true. It was the face he had pinched when he was a child.

Little Lili seemed thoughtful. "Eighteen is a lot. I don't even know how long eighteen years is. Ugh, so annoying." She stopped worrying about it and asked, "Then do you know how old my mom is?"

"..."

Then he started asking and answering his own questions, and Ning Yizhan could only turn to Qiu Hu for help, who then brought the topic back on track.

Thankfully, the food arrived quickly, and little Lili finally quieted down for a while.

Not long after they started eating, someone opened the door and came in. Little Lili's eyes lit up when she saw this person.

It was Qiu Hu's turn to lose his composure; it was Shao Ling!
