Chapter 11 Dragon Wing Blade

Chapter 11 Dragon Wing Blade

The wilderness of Sel remains as hot and humid as ever, as if it were perpetually in summer.

The earth was dry, dust filled the air, and bright, scorching sunlight streamed down from the sky, falling on Galus, who was circling in the sky, illuminating his appearance and posture at that moment.

Compared to a year ago.

Galus's body length increased by about half a meter, which is not much growth. He is now about 6.6 meters long.

However, his body had become noticeably thicker, with strong and powerful limbs, a thick and strong back and chest, and even his neck looked thick and stiff.

The dragon was incredibly strong; even through its scales, one could feel the powerful, solid muscles beneath, as if cast from steel.

Dragons with powerful physiques, such as red dragons and golden dragons.

Few young dragons can match Garros in strength.

Garros's current physique is practically equivalent to Tyson among young dragons of the same age.

And that's not all.

The most significant change was to Garus's pair of dragon wings.

First, its wingspan reached a full fifteen meters, more than twice the length of Garus. Moreover, its wing membrane was covered with a layer of fine dragon scales that looked like feathers at first glance. These scales perfectly guided the airflow as it passed through the air, preventing it from becoming an obstacle and instead providing a boost.

The membrane connecting the base of the dragon's wings to its torso, which was originally the most painful part when flapping its wings, has thickened three times.

The folds and layers resemble steel that has been forged and hammered hundreds of times.

At the edge of the wing, a layer of metallic-looking, exceptionally sharp substance has grown, capable of easily tearing through the air and severing living organisms, making the entire dragon wing resemble a giant guillotine, exuding a dangerous and awe-inspiring sharpness.

This year.

Strength training was secondary; Garos spent almost every day and night, tempering his dragon wings whenever he had free time, and his efforts paid off.

After a recent evolution.

Garus can now soar through the sky using only his wings, and his speed of flight far surpasses that of other dragons of the same level.

The life level remains unchanged at level 7.

However, Galos feels he can now fight both of his previous selves.

"I need to verify the results of my evolution."

"I choose you, Earth Bear."

With his gaze piercing through the clouds, Galos looked down at the ground below and saw a giant bear, eight meters tall, covered in yellowish-brown, steel-needle-like fur, that looked like an enlarged and enhanced version of an ordinary brown bear.

The Earth Bear before Garros was level 8, but it was far superior to the previous level 8 Petrified Lizard.

The Earth Bear is one of the more powerful monsters, and has a certain probability of reaching Legendary status.

Not only does it possess a strong physique, but it also masters many earth-based magical skills.

While not as powerful as dragons, it is more than capable of defeating the vast majority of monsters of the same level.

Among the fir trees on the hills below.

A giant bear was scratching itself by rubbing its back against a century-old hemlock, sending bark fragments flying like a torrential downpour.

The purpose of this mission is to test my current strength, not to hunt.

Instead of launching a sneak attack, Galos directly unleashed its dragon might, announcing its arrival to the Earth Bear.

With a flap of his wings, the airflow and dragon's might mixed together, forming ripples that were almost visible to the naked eye, sweeping across the earth like a raging bear.

The Earth Bear, which had been scratching itself with a happy expression, suddenly froze. Then, its fur stood on end, like a cat whose tail had been stepped on, and it looked up at the sky.

In my field of vision, a black dot is rapidly growing larger and swooping down.

Scales, horns, claws, tail, wings... it was clearly a giant dragon! But judging by its size, it couldn't be called a giant; it was just a young dragon.

The Earth Bear is highly intelligent. It showed no fear in the face of a young dragon. Instead, it stood upright on its two legs and roared at Garros.

The earth and rocks in front of it suddenly rose up and solidified into blocks of rock.

With a stomp of his foot, five or six massive rocks burst into the air and crashed down on Garus.

Facing the first piece, Galus neither dodged nor avoided it, but instead ducked and rammed into it.

collapse!

The rock, as smooth as tofu, shattered into pieces upon impact with Garus's dragon horn. The shards then brushed against his scales, leaving only a few dusty marks.

Four pieces remain.

Although he could smash it directly, Garus did not rush in head-on again.

His huge and powerful dragon wings flapped, stirring up gusts of wind, and the whole dragon seemed to dance in the air, passing through the gaps between the four rocks with agile movements, as graceful as a swimming dragon.

Strength, speed, defense. Galos didn't want to have any weaknesses and tried to develop all aspects of himself.

Having dealt with the Earth Bear's initial attack, Garos moved closer to the upper side of the lush hills, where the Earth Bear was located at the foot of the hills.

He folded his wings and swooped down the slope, rushing through the canopy.

Oak branches scraped against the scales with a sizzling sound, and where the blade-like edges swept, rows of ancient trees were snapped off at the root like wheat stalks.

The Earth Bear roared and slammed its giant paws into the ground, causing ten earth spikes to burst forth.

Suddenly, the young dragon folded its wings and curled its body, its tail, covered with broken wood and leaves, swept across, smashing the spikes in half, and sending flying rocks embedded in the tree trunks like bullets.

The Earth Bear slammed its paws into the ground, lifting up a three-meter-thick slab of rock, and then slammed it down on Garus once more.

Instead of retreating, Galos advanced, its wing edges cutting into the cracks in the rock slab, and suddenly flapped its wings, lifting the entire rock slab into the air at a height of 100 meters.

Sunlight filtered through the suspended boulder, casting dappled shadows. Taking advantage of the moment, the young dragon launched a surprise attack from the boundary between light and shadow, closing in on the earth bear in an instant. Its claws reached out, tearing through fur and flesh to grip the bear's shoulders. Then, it leaped through the air, forcefully hurling the nearly twenty-ton behemoth away like a sack of potatoes.

The rolling bear crashed through seven oak trees before finally stopping.

roar!

It roared and howled, then suddenly grabbed a piece of broken wood and threw it into the air.

The earthy-yellow magical energy enveloped the broken wood, causing it to explode into a rain of sharp spikes as it approached Garros, whistling through the air and sweeping towards Garros.

Galos Dragon's face was calm, and its huge wings suddenly spread out, sweeping away the countless wooden spikes in the sky.

Even when some occasionally fell on him, they could hardly break through his hard dragon scales.

Only areas like the eyes require a little extra attention.

"It's my turn!"

The Earth Bear had used a number of spells in one go and was now panting heavily, while the young dragon's stamina seemed to have not decreased at all, and it accelerated its wings to approach.

Heavy Rock Armor!

As the dragons approached, the Earth Bear stomped its feet on the ground, raised its head, and roared. The earth and rocks around it suddenly seemed to come alive, surging like water and extending along its feet to cover its body almost instantly, forming layers of hard armor with granite textures.

At the same time, the right dragon wing spread out horizontally, tearing through the air like a guillotine with a piercing shriek, and slashed towards the earth bear.

The Earth Bear simultaneously raised its thickest armored arm and slammed it down on the dragon's wing.

Clang—Swoosh!

The sound, like metal clashing, rang out first, followed by dazzling sparks, and then the sound of a sharp weapon severing flesh.

The Earth Bear howled in agony as the armor on its arm was torn apart almost instantly by the dragon's wings, its tough fur and flesh were ripped open, and its bones were severed.

As Galos and the Earth Bear passed each other, half of the bear's arm flew into the air, bleeding profusely.
