Chapter 106 The Boiling Blood Beast

Hopeland, House of Nisos.

In a small hall in the mansion, Fenton received two guests.

The exquisite brass chandelier under the ceiling paints the interior with bright colors. The red velvet seats are edged with mahogany armrests. There are also several small cups and a transparent glass wine pot on the table. The amber liquid in the cups ripples slightly under the candlelight. It is the Cointreau wine unique to the Nisos family.

"Lord Fenton, there's a fire at the brewery." A butler knocked on the door and came in to report.

"Okay, I understand. Let's send a team to put out the fire."

Fenton waved his hand and casually instructed that this might have been a big deal in the past, but what he was discussing with these two guests today was extraordinary, and the fire was not that important, as they had plenty of breweries anyway.

After hearing the news, a guest across the street had a new idea.

"Do you know what caused the fire?"

"It seems that one of the employees was dissatisfied and deliberately set the fire."

"Oh, this is interesting." He stretched out his tone slightly.

"Master Fenton, I think it would be better to do it today."

"Today? So hasty?" Fenton was a little surprised.

"Yes, although we're not completely ready, we're almost there. Besides, if we act earlier, we can catch them off guard."

Fenton did not answer immediately. He put his hand on his chin and kept rubbing it, feeling a little hesitant and shaken. The butler next to him was a little confused and had to stand by and continue waiting.

The two guests were not in a hurry. One of them picked up the wine jug and poured the orange wine from it. With a slight sound of flowing water, the three cups were filled.

Fenton took a deep breath and looked at the chandelier above his head.

Half-burned candles were inserted in the lamp holders, illuminating the colorful paintings on the corners of the ceiling clearly. These paintings told the story of the rise and prosperity of the Nissus family.

The painting begins with a fruit vendor driving a horse-drawn cart, then shows him in the countryside asking a farmer for advice, followed by a drawing of him sitting in front of a house with his wife and child, and then a scene of the child as an adult having fun with his friends.

Then there is a young man standing in a fruitful orchard. Under the dense vines are boxes of grapes, and the sky is a bright blue.

...

The penultimate picture shows the young man sitting in the house with a sad face. He opens a clay pot, which contains rotten grapes. There are many other clay pots and scattered grapes piled up next to him.

The last picture shows him holding a wine glass high, and next to him are several good friends, who are dressed in different clothes, some like alchemists, some like priests, some like farmers, some like nobles, and some like working workers. These people stand next to the young man, holding wine glasses in their hands, looking at him with smiles on their faces.

“Drinking brings together friends, regardless of status.”

This was the motto left by the first head of the Nisos family. However, as time passed, only the first half of the sentence was valued by the family, and the second half had not been mentioned for a long time.

Fenton closed his eyes for a long time before opening them and speaking.

"It's too hasty. The old man won't agree."

"But the old man is old after all, and it's time for him to rest. If you can't make up your mind, who else can make the decision for the Nisos family?"

Fenton took a deep breath, picked up the wine glass in front of him, and drank it in one gulp.

"Okay, today then!" Then the empty wine glass was placed on the table with a bang.

Seeing this, the two people opposite also smiled, picked up the wine glasses on the table and drank them all.

Fenton stood up, put on his coat, and gave instructions to the butler.

"Wake up all the guards at home and gather them in the courtyard. Also notify the members of the city branch to gather at the main house."

The butler agreed in surprise and was about to go out when another sentence came.

"Send someone to take good care of the old man, and don't let outsiders come into contact with him."

"Yes, Lord Fenton."

The butler quickly left the small hall, and then the big bell in the Nissus Chamber of Commerce rang, the sound was rapid and heavy.

Fenton stood at the window, watching the crowd moving downstairs in the mansion, then turned around.

"Now the Nisos family will fulfill the covenant, but when will I see your promise, the two young masters of the Tisiphone family?"

Under the bright candlelight, the two young men also stood up.

"Master Fenton, rest assured. Master Zenep has just sent us a message that the 'Giant God' has been activated. Anemie has already reached a consensus, and thanks to you, we at Tisiphone have also obtained the last piece of the puzzle. We are ready to act at any time."

Under the light, the shadows formed by the black hair obscured his face, and a wanton smile appeared at the corner of his mouth. It was Edley from the Tisiphone family.

-----------------------------

On the other side of Hopeland, on a remote bridge.

Bud stared blankly at the silver-haired girl in front of him. Under the cold moonlight, her clear crimson eyes and her dreamy and extraordinary face gave him an impact that he had never imagined in his life.

The more you lack something, the more you desire it.

Because of his ugly appearance, he was often ridiculed. He always felt inferior and became more and more envious and even admired those who were good-looking.

Loran Hill looked at the young man in front of him, and the mechanical voice of the system came from his mind.
