After the opening ceremony of the new semester, new courses began in the next few days. Fortunately, some of the courses at the Walled City College and the Temple College were the same public courses, so Loran Hill didn't have to run back and forth frequently.
For the past few days, Katie had been sleeping. As Chris said, the witch was still weak and needed plenty of rest. One day, after school, Roland Hill returned to the dormitory and was leaning against the headboard reading a book when there was a slight knock on the closet door.
The girl looked up in slight surprise, but then seemed to remember something, so she got out of bed and opened the closed pine cabinet door in her slippers. Sure enough, a blonde girl in a pink dress was standing there. Her golden hair and blue-white hairpins reflected a faint light in the dim wardrobe.
"Good evening, little Loran~" the girl walked in and greeted.
"Good evening, Chris." Lorraine, who was wearing a nightgown, replied.
Chris walked around the room briefly before standing at the head of Katie's bed, looking at the sleeping fire witch.
"It shouldn't be a problem for Keti to take care of her."
"Well, there was a small problem, but fortunately it's over." Loran Hill recalled the scene of the past few days.
"I know what happened that time. It's not your fault." Chris turned around and said, then took out a stack of red and black clothes.
"This is the school uniform for K'Ti. It's already made. You can put it on her later."
"Okay." Loran Hill took the clothes.
"Are you used to life in the new academy?" Chris continued to ask.
"It's pretty good." The girl thought that compared to the cramped dormitory in her previous life, the environment in Emenas must be much more spacious and comfortable.
"That's good. If you have any questions or need help, you can ask me."
Chris looked around but didn't find what she wanted. Then she clapped her hands and a mercury-colored origin quickly spread out on the ground. The area then became shiny, like a mirror. Then a small round table and two elegant wooden chairs emerged from the mirror. Finally, the silver on the ground dissipated and returned to its original state.
"Please sit down for a while." Like Titus, Chris didn't like standing and chatting all the time, so she asked Loran Hill to sit down.
"What does Lorraine know about Emenas?"
Loran Hill sat down in his pajamas and replied, "It's roughly what the book describes, an academy jointly established by sages from various races."
"That's right. In fact, it is indeed similar to what has been announced to the public, but you may not be familiar with the specific model." Chris began her explanation.
"Although there are many sages in Emenas, most of them are just figures in name only. They are not at the headquarters, but in their respective countries, organizations, hometowns, or traveling."
"Normally, there should be five Sequence 9s remaining at the school, but something is currently wrong."
"The Sequence 9 priest from the Temple Academy has returned to the Sanctuary. The Pope of the Sanctuary has been in poor health for a long time, and a replacement is expected in the next few years. Furthermore, the Frost Rose's philosophy has caused some internal divisions and instability within the Sanctuary, so this Sequence 9 priest is needed to return and take charge."
"The Sequence 9 from High Tower Academy is Si Ye. The Sequence 9 from Walled City Academy is currently sleeping at the bottom of the lake and generally won't come out unless something serious happens. The one living in seclusion in the Central Campus is obsessed with experiments and potions and hasn't contacted the outside world for a long time. And the sage from Pier Academy has now left for the Endless Sea. It's said that there's a problem with the seal of the Chaos Vortex there."
"In other words, the only Sequence 9s still in charge are Si Ye and I. The rest of the sages are mostly Sequence 8s. While their strength and character are not bad, the opponent in the dark might also be a Sequence 9 witch."
"You should also know that witches have lived for a long time, so they are very familiar with each other's methods. If she is determined to hide, it will be difficult for Si Ye and I to detect it."
Chris described the current situation of the Sage Council and told Loranhill that it would take a year for the other Sequence 9 Sages who took over to come to Emenas after handling their personal affairs. This year would be quite dangerous.
"You may not believe it, but if something really happens to you, little Loran, Titus will definitely bring people to attack you. Maybe half of the world will go to war for this." Chris said with a smile.
"How could it be half the world?" Loran Hill was a little puzzled.
"This has to do with the factions among the witches." Chris took out two cups from somewhere, placed them on the table, and then filled them with hot black tea.
"The earliest witches were probably the Blood Moon Witch Julis and the Sea Witch Phoebe. They led the human race to establish the True Red Empire and also established the earliest aristocracy system, where those who led the people to victory were recognized."
"I'm sure you've already heard of the ending from your recent reading of the tome. It wasn't a happy one. Most of them were defeated by the Sequence 9 shamans and warriors of the Orc Empire. Their blood was then spilled on the altar to seal the Chaos Vortex."
"The next group, namely Hades the Underworld Witch, Selene the Purple Moon Witch, and Trinasha the Butterfly Witch, went through many hardships and finally established the Mercury Dynasty."
"The third group is Tidaisi's group. They include the Phantom Witch Tidaisi, the Dragon Witch Suqin, the Flame Witch Keti, the Space-Time Witch Dorothy, and others. I'm also among them. We all grew up during the heyday of the Mercury Dynasty and participated in many wars against the elves, beastmen, and ogres. Through our combined efforts, we reduced the elves' nearly 30 Sequence 9s, who had accumulated over millennia, to fewer than five. In the end, we even toppled and burned the World Tree. The other races no longer have any Sequence 9s left."
