Chapter 387: Year of Fire

In a world utterly dark, sunlight shone like a searchlight, creating distinct blocks of light and shadow on the ground. A black sky, a rushing crowd, chaotic shouts, overturned and falling objects, an unknown disaster suddenly descended.

The vase on the table was blown up by the air current, hit the wall and shattered into pieces, and the fiery red tulips disappeared in the swirling air current outside the window.

Jack gripped the windowsill with one hand, and then the light blue shield enveloped him, steadying his body in the turbulent airflow. After the situation stabilized a little, he had the energy to pay attention to the silver-haired girl across the table.

Silver hair fluttered in the air, covering her chin and face, and some even looked into her transparent blue pupils, causing the girl to slightly close one of her eyes.

The silver-haired girl did not protect herself with a shield as Jack expected, but took out the silver pocket watch from her waist in the swirling airflow.

The flap of the pocket watch had a pattern of vines and crescent moons entwined together. When it was opened, the dial and hands were revealed to Jack's eyes.

Amidst the chaotic shouts and wind around her, she tapped the dial lightly. A faint golden light appeared from the inside of the flip cover, and then the girl seemed to be sucked in and suddenly disappeared.

Finally, the silver pocket watch fell alone on the seat, and the pointer on the dial was still moving slowly, making a slight turning sound.

Roland's dormitory in the Walled City Academy.

The golden pocket watch on Katie's bedside suddenly opened, golden light burst out, and then a silver-haired girl walked out.

The red-haired girl who had been sleeping in the room had already woken up. When she saw the appearance of the silver-haired girl, her anxious expression finally eased.

"Loran, something bad has happened." Katie said anxiously.

Even though she had lost her memory, the Fire Witch still sensed something was wrong, but now she didn't know what to do and could only look to her best friend for help.

"I know."

As soon as Loran Hill came out, he took Katie's hand, and the two of them jumped directly from the windowsill and flew into the sky where the air flow was chaotic.

A small black hole appeared in the sky, revealing a chaotic and uneasy atmosphere. Branches, mud, dust, and debris were flying in the air flow and were gradually absorbed by the black hole. Under the dim sky, there was a black sand and dust storm.

A dozen Sequence 8 Sages were like morning stars of various colors, embedded in the sky. Whenever they saw a student being swept by the wind, they would lend a helping hand and secure them.

At the top of the sky, two Sequence 9 Sages supported a massive dome-like shield, protecting the entire Emenas and weakening and isolating the impact of the black hole.

If the two of them were to fight against the witch, they might not be at a disadvantage, but the opponent's purposeful and long-prepared self-destructive vortex would be difficult to deal with.

Agatha has obviously studied the principles of chaos phantom and chaos vortex for many years, so that she can trigger a new vortex black hole. Once this black hole stabilizes, it will become a new chaos vortex, which will once again trigger the disaster of chaos erosion.

"Kati, do you see that black hole?" Loran Hill's voice seemed a little unreal in the wind and was torn into pieces.

"I see." Katie nodded.

"Can it be destroyed?"

"I don't know." She shook her head, but said affirmatively.

"I can try."

Then, a new, magnificent, crimson comet rose from the earth.

Like water drops falling onto a lake, myriad different shades of fiery red overlap, forming vast ripples that spread out in all directions.

These surging streams of fire broke through layers of air waves and continued to rise. The girl wrapped in them seemed to turn into light, burning fiercely and blooming.

If you observe from the outside of the starry sky, you can find that there is an orange-red bright spot on the blue and yellow-green planet, and the bright fire waves are advancing in all directions like a high tide.

And in the very center of the flame, there were no longer any complete molecules. Everything was burned into free particles, turning into sparks and dissipating in the wind.

The flames continued to advance along the vortex, gathering and moving inward. The chaotic aura, illusions, magical structures, and all other visible and invisible things that had previously overflowed were annihilated in the flames and disappeared without a trace.

In the distorted light, flames poured into the endless black hole. And the black hole, like a water outlet under a pool, continuously absorbed the raging flames.

The briefly opened space-time channel was rammed by these flames, burning it into distortion and chaos, with various space-time turbulences and slices intertwined in it.

Under the orange-red flaming sky, the silver-haired girl opened her eyes wide and looked at the black hole vortex that had not yet dissipated. Stars began to appear in her pupils, and the butterfly hairpin on the side of her ear also bloomed with a faint blue light.

But just as she was about to enter the astral world to peek into her destiny, a silver light appeared under the starry sky.

The slender silver light penetrated the starry sky and the earth like a spear.

A witch with blonde hair, silver eyes and a black dress appeared in the dark starry sky, holding a crescent-shaped staff in her hand.

[Close the door, time and space will stand still here.]

The crescent-shaped staff was silver in color with intricate patterns on it. The blooming light turned into a silver thread that fell from the starry sky, enveloping the tiny black hole, and then slowly closing it until it finally disappeared without a trace.

That must be... Titus. Loran Hill looked at the witch under the starry sky, feeling both familiar and unfamiliar.

The phantom witch had a solemn and sad expression on her face as she watched her former friend being torn apart by the turbulence of time and space. Her soul shattered in the flames, and then she shattered it one by one to mend and fill the gaps in the ruptured time and space, until it finally completely disappeared without a trace.

[Goodbye, Agatha.]

I hope you can meet Dorothy, Trinasha, Edwina... and other familiar figures at the end of time and space.

After the black hole in the sky disappeared, the crimson fire stream also scattered into fiery red particles and slowly fell, and a red-haired girl appeared in the sky again.

She looked at the witch under the starry sky with curiosity and nervousness, then she streaked across the night sky like a stream of light and returned to the lakeside under the dark sky.

"Loran, I can't burn that, but another witch helped me solve it." Katie grabbed Loran Hill's wrists with both hands, as if explaining, or seeking praise.

"Yeah, I know. Thank you for your hard work, Keti."

Loran Hill hugged Katie, slowly stroked her warm and fiery red hair with one hand, then looked up at the phantom witch who was slowly descending.

The Third Era, 1686, the Year of Fire. On May 9th of that year, a massive blaze erupted from the center of the Western Continent, atop the World Summit, engulfing a third of the continent's sky. Under the blazing orange sky, temperatures soared across the world, and that summer was the hottest in recent centuries.
