A heartwarming daily life farming novel, occasionally also a passionate epic.
Spears spread across the wilderness like a thriving forest. Glorious knights march in formation, and countless bl...
With their tall limbs and long, slender legs covered in barbs, these spiders are incredibly terrifying. The terror stems from their radically different structure from many common creatures. When magnified, the unique structure of insects' limbs defies long-held common sense.
This structure, which is different from that of mammals, always surprises and shocks people.
Loran Hill raised his head slightly, looking at the white spider that was swooping down quickly from mid-air. At such a close distance, the tiny hairs on its long legs were so clear, and its gradually dark fangs secreted liquid, which shot out like a water line and hit his face.
In this brief moment of less than a second, these fast and agile spiders pounced on the girl. Seeing that the barbed fangs were about to bite the white neck, the swordsman girl finally moved.
The long sword fluttered in his hand like a butterfly, and several pale purple blades flashed through the woods, silently cutting through the obstacles in the air. The figure that was originally standing in the same place also swam past the sides of these spiders like a phantom, and then slowly lowered the sword again.
Soon, a light "rain" began to fall behind the girl. The spider's body fragments fell on the fallen leaves and moss on the ground, splashing a yellow-green sticky liquid, and a slightly fishy and sour smell filled the surrounding air.
After smelling this scent, many small spiders in the forest began to flee everywhere, as if they had been warned.
But considering that letting these spiders go might harm more people, Loran Hill took action again. Sword in hand, she swiftly shuttled through the forest, chopping down large trees and shredding the fleeing spiders. Countless white and yellow-green limbs and acid showered the ground. A rapid arc of pale purple light echoed through the forest, moving like lightning, clearing out the dangerous spiders within the circle.
Nearly half an hour later, the forest finally quieted down again, and Loran Hill, feeling slightly exhausted, sat down on a large tree not far away to rest. The tree now lay flat on the ground, and dozens of feet in front of it was a pile of spider corpses.
"Finally, I'm done." After resting for a while, Loran Hill wiped the sweat off his face and put away the sword that was stuck in the ground.
Killing the giant spiders was a piece of cake for her, but preventing the smaller ones from escaping was difficult. Even at War Sequence 4, this took quite a bit of effort.
Now that he had dealt with the spiders, Loranhill walked into the forest again to see what was hidden in the forest where the spiders were hiding.
In the spider-web-covered jungle, there are silk threads and white cocoons everywhere. Some of them are used to hatch little spiders, and some of them contain dead beasts.
After cutting open some white cocoons with a sword, Loran Hill handled these things carefully, and then saw the rare remains of a few fish bones.
Is there a river nearby? The girl wondered, then remembered the raccoon dog she had met before. This kind of animal often lives near water.
After the inspection, no human bodies were found, which made the girl feel relieved. Perhaps this place was too remote and few people came here.
She walked out of the dark spider forest, took out a small pot, and poured the prepared kerosene along the edge of the forest.
Stretching out her fingers to feel the direction of the wind, the girl nodded, then threw down a match and lit the pile of grass below.
Then a puff of green smoke floated among the dead leaves and grass. In the billowing green smoke, a small flame fluttered up and ignited the surrounding green smoke. Soon other parts also caught fire, and the green smoke gradually faded.
Smelling the scent of burning ash in the air, Loran Hill stood aside and watched the fire gradually spread towards the spider forest behind.
By evening, the fire was getting bigger and bigger. The blaze that shot up into the sky brought waves of heat that rushed around. People could feel the burning sensation on their faces just by looking at it.
"I hope it won't attract too much attention." The girl said worriedly as she watched the fire grow bigger and bigger.
It wasn't that she was worried about the fire getting out of control, she had prepared for that by setting up firebreaks in advance, but she was afraid that others would see her and rush over, misunderstanding that she was setting fire to the mountain, although that was essentially the case.
As night fell, the fire was still burning, and it was particularly conspicuous in the darkness. The bright yellow flames illuminated the surroundings. Loran Hill was sitting not far away, with a few processed fish stuck on the ground in front of him.
After completing the task, she looked around and found a rushing stream in the forest behind the hillside, so she caught a few fish to enjoy for dinner.
Under the firelight, the swordswoman gazed uneasily at the blazing fire, her steps pacing back and forth. At this moment, the black and white raccoon dog trotted over again. It had been hiding in the underbrush, its small black eyes hesitantly eyeing the charred fish.
After rustling for a while, the cat-sized raccoon dog came out again and came to Loran Hill. It looked at the girl and called out a few times, then raised its front legs and landed in the direction of the grilled fish.
That expression seemed to be asking, "Can I eat it?" It looked a bit pitiful and cute.
"Okay, since I know you're hungry, I'll share one with you." Loran Hill squatted down with amusement and looked at the little animal.
"But only one, and I'm hungry now." The girl took the opportunity to touch the raccoon dog's head.

On the other side of the mountains and forests, the back door of the lord's castle was pushed open again, and Viscount Mo Ruo came out again with his butler and the girl.
"Try it again tonight. I don't believe it." After a day of irritability and anxiety, Viscount Mo Ruo still didn't give up.
"Yes, sir."
The butler followed at the end, and in the middle was the dark-blonde girl. Her clothes were much more torn than yesterday, as if they had been scratched by branches and splinters. Yet, today, she still staggered behind Viscount Mo Ruo.
