A heartwarming daily life farming novel, occasionally also a passionate epic.
Spears spread across the wilderness like a thriving forest. Glorious knights march in formation, and countless bl...
In the dark red firelight, Guhuasi swung his giant axe and swept it across with all his might, splitting the charging cavalry in half, including their horses.
But there were only two people in front.
The following cavalrymen swung their blades one after another, and the enchanted extraordinary weapons merged into one in the firelight. As the cavalrymen galloped past, they tore off pieces of flesh and blood from Gu Huas' body.
The bronze skin that was originally invulnerable to swords and guns now showed the white bones, and the attacks did not stop.
After a series of resistance and collisions, the giant axe was swung again, sweeping slowly across, but because the flesh and blood in his arms were lost, he could no longer lift the heavy axe.
With a clang, the axe fell, and Gu Huas was knocked away by the charging cavalry and fell heavily to the ground.
Amidst the blood and ruins, the strong man seemed to have stopped breathing.
Seeing this, the officer was still worried and ordered his men to attack again, with the galloping horses' hooves raised high and stepped towards the body on the ground.
Just as the horse's hooves, powerful enough to crush bones, were about to fall, a whistling sound shot down across the night sky and directly hit the front of the military horse, causing it to jump away in fright.
When these people took a closer look, they found that they were long steel swords.
These long swords, as if brand new, flew down from the air and pierced the ground one after another, turning the originally loose ruins of the street into a forest made of steel.
From the shadows of the street, an unknown armored knight slowly walked out.
The armor made a slight friction sound as he stepped on the tiny pieces of iron and debris on the ground. Every step he took with his steady steps left clear footprints on the ground.
Looking at the nameless knight in front of him whose armor was illuminated by the firelight, the leading cavalry captain frowned. He sensed a powerful supernatural magic, which was the flow of magic that only high-level supernatural beings could have.
"Who are you?" The cavalry captain asked in a low voice at the mysterious person who suddenly interrupted.
But the other party didn't seem to want to answer. He walked to Guhuas' side, poured a tube of potion into his mouth, then picked up the sword again and pointed it at the cavalry.
"Are you an accomplice of the rebels? Then we can't let you go, charge!" Then there was a loud shout, and these fully equipped cavalrymen attacked again.
The matte black sword blade was raised at an angle and swung so quickly and unpretentiously that no trace of magic power could be seen.
But surprisingly, the nameless knight took every attacking blade, breaking the opponent's blade and shattering the armor.
The sword's strike was decisive and swift, without any sophisticated technique. It was purely a crushing force of speed and strength.
One by one, the cavalrymen were blown away by the sword and rolled to the ground. Their sabers broke into pieces and rolled to the side with their horses.
Facing these charging cavalry, the nameless knight advanced step by step, going against the current. The continuous blades of the battle swords parted in front of him like a tide, turning into shapeless waves and falling on both sides.
"Damn it!" The cavalry captain gritted his teeth and became anxious when he saw that everyone was defeated.
This was the first time he had encountered such a difficult person during a mission, so difficult that he had no idea of his own abilities.
Sequence 7? Or Sequence 8? Which side was he on? If he was a rebel, why did he show mercy and not just kill his own cavalry? If he was a knight of noble birth, why would he aid these instigators of rebellion at this moment?
Seeing that the enemy was getting closer and closer, and the number of cavalrymen on his side was decreasing, the captain was about to shout the order to retreat, but the enemy seemed to know what he was thinking and suddenly stopped and no longer moved forward.
At this point, the cavalry captain also recalled his men and looked at the other side quietly, wondering what the other side was planning.
But what was unexpected was that the unknown knight chopped down the houses on the street with a sword and disappeared in the collapsed ruins.
"Chase, go check ahead." The cavalry captain gave the order while looking at the ruins gloomily.
Then when the cavalry crossed the obstacle and came to the rear again, the unknown knight was no longer there, and Guhuas, who was lying in the corner, also disappeared.
"Let them escape?" Seeing this scene, the officer could only accept the reality.
"Continue searching the entire city!"
"Sir, what about the previous order?" asked the adjutant beside him. He wanted to know whether the previous killing order should continue.
After a moment's silence, the captain replied in a low voice.
"The main focus is on searching."
"Yes, sir." The others also breathed a sigh of relief after hearing this. They had a vague feeling that if they continued killing like before, the powerful unknown knight would appear again.
In the cover of night, these cavalrymen once again searched the entire city with torches, but this time the action was far less intense than the last time. Rather than looking for people, it was more like they were allowing the residents to escape. Even when they saw adult men appearing in front of them, they would only pretend to chase and drive them away, and then give up after running for a while.
Anyway, the order from above is that there must be no living adult males in the city. As for those who escaped to the mountains or outside, they have no control over them. They don't have so much time to hunt them down one by one. This is not what their elite legion should do.
The shouts in the city gradually died down, and the blazing fire also quieted down a lot. By daybreak, only a cold and desolate ruin with smoke rising from it remained.
"The search is complete, my lord."
In the center of the square, the cavalry gathered again and reported one by one.
"How is it going?"
"The escaped nameless knight has not been found, and the other rebels have been 'cleaned up'."
"Is that so?" The cavalry captain's face showed no joy, only calmness, as if he had been mentally prepared.
