"Father, Mother, what are you talking about?" Yan Xi looked at Shu Jianyue, feeling as if she understood, yet also as if she didn't understand anything at all.

Shu Jianyue patted her hand reassuringly and said, "It's nothing, we're just encouraging him."

“He is still too weak. If we don’t encourage him, how will he go to China in the future?”

Yan Xi wasn't stupid; she naturally knew it couldn't be as her mother said, but since her mother wouldn't say, there was no point in asking again.

"Lou Qiongshang is coming to Shenzhou with us?"

Lou Qiongshang took a deep breath and composed himself, saying, "Of course, whose goal isn't the Divine Continent or even the Upper God Realm?"

Chong Jiu glanced at him, then took Shu Jianyue's hand and said, "Let's go, it's time to get out. We still need to find the exit."

“I know the exit. I just asked that guy up there, and he said it’s in a ravine to the south,” Yan Xi said, pointing to the right front.

Shu Jianyue glanced around; that direction wasn't the way they had come from.

If this Sealed Abyss isn't a secret realm, then the entrance and exit should be the same place, right?

Chong Jiu recalled that she had just said that Xi Xi might have gone up Shi Shan, and Xi Xi had indeed come down from Shi Shan, which showed that her premonition was accurate.

"Alright, your dad's downstairs." Shu Jianyue pulled Yan Xi along to greet him. "How is he?"

Chong Jiu stared at the ravine, his eyes slowly narrowing.

With his hands hanging down, he formed a hand seal, then slightly raised them and struck towards the mouth of the stream.

"Ouch..." A muffled cry of pain came from the mouth of the ravine.

Shu Jianyue pulled Yan Xi back a few steps, and then the mouth of the stream trembled. Slowly, the mouth of the stream began to close, and a pair of large, copper-bell-shaped eyes appeared above, glaring fiercely at Chong Jiu.

Shu Jianyue clicked her tongue upon seeing this; they were just waiting for them to put it in their mouths themselves.

"I will devour you all." Human voices spoke as the ravine opened and closed.

Shu Jianyue looked him over, and to be honest, apart from his mouth and eyes, she couldn't see any other facial features. "You talk as if you were just joking before and didn't plan to eat us."

It seems that the thing on that rocky mountain is the downstream version of this thing.

One is responsible for deceiving people, and the other is responsible for eating people.

As if enraged, he spewed out streams of yin energy from the ravine, and Chong Jiu waved his hand behind him, setting up a protective array around Shu Jianyue and the others.

Then he pressed down on the strange thing that only had a mouth and eyes, and the thing lay on the ground unable to move.

"Where do you get the confidence that you can devour me?"

"Tell me where the exit of Fengyuan is, or I'll make you eat yourself."

Slowly, an antenna emerged from behind the ravine, pointing in the direction they had come from, its mouth tightly shut as if it couldn't open.
