The next day, Ye Zhan and I slept until noon as usual, then got up and staggered out of the campus. The midterm exam was approaching, and according to Zhou Mo, Ye Zhan would be taught a lesson in the next few days. In fact, we were really worried, and our indifferent attitude was just pretending. I called Xia Xue to ask her if she wanted to go, and she said she wanted to go, but she had to review for the exam, so she didn't accompany us. I don't know what Ye Zhan and I were thinking. This time we didn't take a taxi, but took the bus, stopping and starting at each stop, watching the buildings of this city slowly pass by us, and it took a long, long time to reach our destination. We took the elevator upstairs and knocked on the door. It was the same woman who opened the door again. We sat on the sofa as if we were familiar with each other. The woman made us two cups of tea and disappeared without a word. After a while, Liu Yanfu came out. Ye Zhan and I stood up and greeted him. Then he led Ye Zhan to the single soft bed in the office and asked him to take off his shoes and clothes and lie on it. Liu Yanfu gently rubbed Ye Zhan's temple: "Keep it relaxed." Liu Yanfu made a "hush" gesture to me, then squatted down behind Ye Zhan's head and whispered in his ear, "Are you feeling tired now?" Ye Zhan nodded, "A little." Liu Yanfu said, "Then go to sleep. No one will disturb you here."

"Okay." Ye Zhan closed his eyes obediently. Liu Yanfu walked slowly to the desk, took out the small clock and walked over. "Remember this sound." Doctor Liu pressed it, and the clock made a "cuckoo" sound, like a rooster crowing. "When you fall asleep, wake up immediately when you hear this sound. Got it?"

Ye Zhan smiled bitterly and said, "I can't guarantee it. Sometimes when I sleep at home, the alarm clock rings for most of the day and I can't wake up." I nodded, and I believe most students have the same experience as Ye Zhan. Liu Yanfu put the clock next to Ye Zhan's ear, letting the "gurgling" sound rush directly into his eardrum, and said sternly, "Give your brain an order. No matter how much you sleep, wake up immediately when you hear this sound, otherwise you will never wake up again. Do you understand?!"

Ye Zhan shivered: "I know." Then he listened carefully to this life-saving voice.

Liu Yanfu turned off the sound and pointed at the numbers on the clock, telling me that the billing would start from now on. I was a little anxious: "Doctor Liu, you also need to count the time when you sleep, it's too dark for you." Liu Yanfu made a "quiet" gesture to me again: "Shh, this is part of the treatment, just watch it." He put the clock back on the desk.

Liu Yanfu came to the bed where Ye Zhan was sleeping and whispered, "Follow my instructions, and don't resist. Got it?" His voice was trusting. Ye Zhan nodded again. Liu Yanfu continued, "Now you are in a place like this: in front of you is the blue, calm, endless sea, under your feet is the soft, white sand, the sun shines warmly on you, there is no wind, the temperature is just right, and there is no one on the scene. You are the only one in this world..."

Ye Zhan's breathing gradually relaxed, and a serene expression appeared on his face, as if he was indeed on the quiet beach over there.

Liu Yanfu continued, "In this world, no one can disturb you, and no one can hurt you. You can completely relax and do whatever you want." Ye Zhan nodded gently, his expression became more relaxed, and he seemed to have fallen into a light sleep. I looked at Liu Yanfu in surprise, realizing that he might be using some method to hypnotize Ye Zhan.

"What do you most want to do on this quiet beach?" Liu Yanfu asked again.

"Lie down and have a good sleep." Ye Zhan said, "I feel so tired. I haven't had a good sleep for a long time..."

"Very good, just lie down and have a sleep as you wish. No one can disturb you here, and no one can hurt you." There seemed to be a hint of magic in Liu Yanfu's voice that could calm people down.

Ye Zhan's breathing became very slow, which is the condition of entering deep sleep. Liu Yanfu walked to the desk, picked up the cup and drank a sip of water. I ran to him and asked, "How is it?" Liu Yanfu said, "It's perfect. The patient is very cooperative. It may be successful in one go. You are ready to pay." I said excitedly, "As long as I can make him remember, I am willing to pay any amount."

Liu Yanfu walked to the bed again and said in a magical voice: "Ye Zhan, can you hear me?"

"Yes..." Ye Zhan said softly.

"Do you know who I am?"

"I don't know..." Ye Zhan frowned, seeming a little confused.

"I am you."

"You are me?" Ye Zhan was even more confused.

"Yes, I live in your heart." Liu Yanfu said, "We can share any secrets, and you are willing to tell me everything. I am the person you trust most in this world."

Ye Zhan was silent for a moment, then said, "Haozi is the person I trust the most in this world."

I immediately became very excited, patted my chest lightly, and mouthed to Liu Yanfu: "Me, me!" Liu Yanfu glanced at me and continued: "Yes, besides Haozi, the person you trust the most is me. Don't you trust yourself?"
