Chicken feet delivery, what's not to like?
The white figure used a wooden stick imbued with magic to deliver a downward slash to the opponent's chest.
"Bang—"
The wooden stick struck the giant's hard metal armor, and the resulting shockwave traveled through the armor and throughout the giant's entire body, enough to make him dizzy and numb.
The sound of a blunt weapon striking metal armor echoed in the ears of the gray samurai.
In an instant, his round eyes stared intently at the pure white knight. Finally, the giant collapsed as if his body had crumbled, sprawling across the arena.
The alloy breastplate showed uneven marks, suggesting that half of his ribs had been broken due to the violent shockwave.
The duel between the giant of the southern barbarians and the white knight came to an end, leaving the spectators high above stunned. After a moment of disbelief, they immediately applauded and cheered for the spectacular duel.
The pure white knight ignored his fallen opponent and looked up at the king—and one of the people beside the king.
Priscilla noticed that the knight was looking at her with eager eyes as if he wanted to say something, and a strange feeling arose in her heart.
"My King—"
At this moment, Fan walked up to the king and volunteered, "Please allow me to go down to the arena and have a match with that warrior in pure white armor!"
It was rare for Wang to see Fan so energetic; it was probably because he and the knight were both masters of swordsmanship, and Wang had been inspired to test his skills against him.
Wang Xinran agreed.
Another figure, young and tall, leaped over the railing and into the field.
At the same time, Fan tossed a longsword to his opponent that was exactly the same as the one in his hand.
Following chivalrous etiquette, Fan announced his name to his opponent.
"I am Vanrexo Vanrentino, a member of the Royal Guard and commander of the Royal Knights. I was impressed by your superb swordsmanship, which you defeated the burly barbarian who came to cause trouble in just three sword moves with only a wooden stick. I have come to the dueling arena to meet you with the intention of exchanging sword skills and hope to receive your guidance."
These few words alone carried a clear fluctuation of magical power. Anyone who was not a cultivator of magic would lose their balance and fall to the ground as if swept away by a whirlwind if they were touched by the magical power.
This was intentional on Fan's part. His aim was to gauge whether his opponent could withstand the fluctuations and what their magical strength was like.
The mysterious warrior, clad in pure white armor, was clearly unaffected. To be precise, he ignored the magical fluctuations.
He dropped the wooden stick he was holding and caught the sword thrown at him by his opponent. Afterward, he removed his helmet and, following the proper knightly etiquette, introduced himself.
"I am Elfons, from the Bliza Snowfield."
This was a cheerful young man with a black ribbon tied around his forehead. He had his long, snow-white hair tied back in a leaf-like braid. He appeared to be an adventurer from a distant part of the continent.
If the battle just now could be described as a fight between man and beast, then this is now a true duel between knights.
However, Priscilla could no longer see the sword shadows flying in the arena below; all she could see were the evoked memories of the past—the shadow of the boy she had once traveled with.
There's a sense of nostalgia, and a touch of melancholy.
What I miss is the adventure from seven years ago—an adventure that began with the tragedy of the capital, was attacked by necromancers, and ended with the dispersal of the Emerald Snow Forest.
What she resented was why Alphonse hadn't kept his promise and had to wait until now to come to the capital to find her.
Memories blurred my vision.
The final match in the arena has concluded.
Alphonse, wielding a longsword in his right hand, was struggling to parry Van's relentless attacks. In a fleeting moment when no one was watching, he drew a golden dagger from his waist with his left hand and, taking advantage of Van's momentary lapse in attention, deflected Van's sword.
His left hand was his dominant hand, which was why he had such strength, allowing him to deflect his opponent's weapon with his short sword.
That golden dagger, the ominous sword that once brought death upon the young man, had been carefully preserved by him. Today, it once again displayed its rightful brilliance to the world.
The outcome was uncertain—even the king thought so. No one present could determine whether Alphonse's "sneak attack" was a foul.

The young man patted a sturdy banyan tree outside the palace, skillfully climbed up, leaned against the trunk, sat steadily among the branches, and gazed into the distance.
Looking from this direction, if there are no obstacles, one should still be able to see the Buliza snowfield... the young man thought to himself.
He disappeared from the mainland for almost seven years after being rescued in the forest.
The woman who annihilated all the pursuing necromancers and rescued him from the sea of trees was named "Zeraya".
The young woman, who always carries seven different "sword" weapons on her back, is able to master and wield all the divine weapons defined as "swords" with great skill.
It feels like a natural part of one's own body.
In Alphonse's mind, such a master swordsman could wipe out all enemies with a single "sweep" of swords falling like a torrential rain. A hero who could use sword techniques so thoroughly could already be called a "female swordsman".
This person was also his "master" for the next seven years.
After completing his studies, he traveled throughout the continent and eventually arrived at the royal capital, Gransis.
This is a brief account of his experiences before arriving in the capital and dueling the giant.
Alphonse took out the flask from his waist and took a few sips with great interest. Just as the flask left his lips, a pebble, seemingly flying from nowhere, knocked him down from the tree.
