Days passed peacefully, and Conan and his friends gradually recovered from the fierce battle. However, they did not let their guard down, for they knew that the shadow of evil could once again loom over the city.

One day, Conan was at home thinking about some details of a previous case when he suddenly received a call from Ran Mouri.

"Conan, quickly watch the news on TV!" Ran Mouri's voice was full of urgency.

Conan turned on the television, and a shocking news report caught his eye. A series of mysterious disappearances had occurred in the city, with no discernible pattern to the disappearances, involving men, women, and children of all ages. Despite the police's all-out investigation, they had yet to find a clue.

Conan's eyes sharpened instantly; he sensed a huge conspiracy lurking behind this. He immediately gathered his friends at Professor Agasa's house.

"Do you all think these missing persons cases are related to the criminal organizations we encountered before?" Lin Yu asked first.

Ai Haibara shook her head: "There is no evidence yet to suggest a connection between the two, but we cannot rule out that possibility."

Nightshade frowned and said, "No matter what, we can't just sit idly by."

Ran Mouri nodded in agreement: "That's right, we must find out the truth."

After a moment of contemplation, Conan said, "Let's start our investigation by examining the families of the missing persons and the locations where they were last seen."

So they split into several groups and began an intensive investigation.

Conan and Ran Mouri teamed up and visited the families of the missing persons, hoping to glean some useful clues from them. However, the families were all deeply mired in grief and anxiety, and the information they provided was extremely limited.

“It’s really strange; these missing people seem to have vanished without a trace in an instant,” Ran Mouri said.

“If it really is a teleportation device, then these missing people have likely been transported to an unknown place,” Ai Haibara said.

After some effort, they finally found some clues in an abandoned factory in the city. The factory looked like it had been abandoned for a long time, but there were signs of recent activity inside.

"Be careful, there might be danger here," Conan warned.

They cautiously entered the factory and suddenly heard the sound of machines running.

"Over there!" Ran Mouri said, pointing in a direction.

They followed the sound and saw a huge machine in operation, with some people in white uniforms working around it.

“This must be the teleportation device!” Lin Yu said.

Just then, the people in white uniforms spotted them.

"Oh no, we've been discovered!" Nightshade exclaimed.

A fierce battle erupted instantly. Conan and his friends engaged in a desperate struggle with the enemy, using various items in the factory as weapons to fight back.

Ran Mouri unleashed her karate skills, defeating enemy after enemy. Lin Yu, meanwhile, used his high-tech equipment to disrupt the enemy's movements. Night Shadow, with his agile movements, weaved through the enemy ranks, delivering fatal blows.

While fighting, Conan observed the enemy's movements and searched for the control core of the teleportation device.

After a fierce battle, they finally defeated the enemy and took control of the teleportation device.

"What do we do now?" Ai Haibara asked.

Conan looked at the teleportation device and said, "We must find a way to figure out how this device works and find the whereabouts of those who have gone missing."

Just as they were studying the teleportation device, a voice suddenly rang out in the factory.

"You think this will stop our plan? How naive!"

Conan and his friends searched for the source of the sound, only to discover a mysterious figure appearing on a giant screen.

"Who are you?" Conan asked.

"I am an existence you cannot defeat; all your efforts are in vain," the mysterious figure sneered.

Conan said, "No matter who you are, we won't let your scheme succeed!"

The mysterious figure laughed loudly: "Then let's give it a try!"

After he finished speaking, the screen suddenly went out, and the factory fell silent once again.

Conan and the others knew that the challenges they faced had only just begun...

In the days that followed, Conan and his friends worked tirelessly day and night to study the teleportation device, trying to crack its secrets. Professor Agasa also joined them, using his scientific knowledge to help everyone.

After several days of hard work, they finally made some breakthroughs.

"I've discovered that the destination of this teleportation device appears to be a secret underground base," Dr. Agasa said.

Conan frowned: "An underground secret base? This must be their hiding place."
