In Lu Rang's hand was a resume that had already been cleaned up.

The prison record was blank.

Shang Yun Shen took it: "You, you helped me erase my prison record?"

"I just want to spend time with her." Lu Rang looked directly into his eyes.

Shang Yun Shen was silent for a few seconds, but still stepped aside: "I'll stay outside and watch over her. You can't be alone with her for too long."

Lu Rang pursed his lips, watched him leave, and then closed the ward door.

He walked to the bedside, looking at Shang Wu's slightly pale face, his eyes darkening.

Lu Rang took her hand, leaned down, and kissed her forehead. Suddenly, his chin felt a little itchy.

It felt like Shang Wu's eyelashes had brushed against it.

Lu Rang stepped aside and saw Shang Wu smiling at him, as if she had been awake for a long time.

He paused, then asked, "You were awake a while ago?"

"Mmm." Shang Wu's heart ached as soon as she spoke.

Seeing that she was very uncomfortable, Lu Rang's eyes darkened.

“Zhou Yanci is dying, but I didn’t touch him. The person who hurt you and his mother are in prison now, and no one will hurt you again.”

Shang Wu said weakly, "I almost didn't see you again."

"You go back first, my mother will be here soon to bring Ah Wu her meal." Shang Yun Shen turned to the side, gesturing for Lu Rang to leave.

Lu Rang stood up, gave Shang Wu a deep look, and left.

Watching his retreating figure, Shang Wu slowly frowned: "Brother, could you try to find out for me what the relationship is between Mother and the Yu family?"

She can't bring it up now, even if she wants to.

She was afraid that her mother thought she and Lu Rang still wanted to try, which was why she suddenly inquired about the Yu family.

Shang Wu smiled slightly and said softly, "Brother, you must keep this a secret for me, otherwise I will never tell you anything again. Mother must never know about this."

Shang Yunshen smiled and nodded, but before he could speak, a slightly stern voice suddenly came from behind him.

“I have heard you.”

The brother and sister were both stunned.

Shang Wu looked up slightly and saw Ruan Yuzhi standing at the door with a rice bucket in her hand, her face gloomy.

She tried to get up, but accidentally aggravated her injury and lay back down helplessly.

Unable to see Ruan Yuzhi's expression, Shang Wu panicked.

She feigned composure: "Mom, what did you hear?"

"I've heard everything I needed to hear."

Ruan Yuzhi walked in, took a bowl of nutritious porridge from the rice bucket, and handed it to Shang Yunshen.

She glanced at Shang Wu coldly: "I asked you to make a choice, and what did you do? You lied to me, hid things, and pretended to break up. You really are my good daughter!"

"That's not how it is..."

Shang Wu tried to explain, but Ruan Yuzhi had already snorted coldly, turned around and left without looking back.
