Lin Yue never imagined she'd randomly marry a man she met less than a day before after graduating college.
Ever since she turned 18, her mother went all out introducing her to different m...
Lin Yue grew increasingly anxious and angry as she listened! She couldn't help but ask, "Do you know if Dr. Song is married?"
"Did you graduate from high school? Why are you asking about this?" The tall nurse looked her up and down suspiciously, her eyes filled with vigilance and doubt.
Lin Yue's heart tightened, but she still pretended to be calm as she looked at them: "I just admire Dr. Song very much and want to know more about him. After all, a doctor with such superb medical skills and noble character is really admirable."
The tall nurse seemed to believe her somewhat and nodded. "I understand, but we really don't know if Dr. Song is married or not. He's always been very low-key and never talks about his love life publicly. No one has ever seen him in close contact with any girl." After saying that, she gave Lin Yue a meaningful look, as if advising her not to have any unrealistic fantasies.
Hearing these words, Lin Yue felt a pang of disappointment. "You, Song Yunzheng, you're secretly married, aren't you? Only letting your family know you're married, but keeping quiet about it outside—are you afraid of cutting off all those unwanted suitors?"
Lin Yue glared angrily at the consultation room, turned and strode away. However, just as she reached the stairwell, Jiang Li's words suddenly echoed in her mind: "Your husband is so handsome. If you don't hurry up and win his heart, there are women lining up outside waiting to win him over. You'd better figure it out yourself."
She was so angry she almost forgot why she came here today. If she couldn't even tolerate this little thing, how was she going to win him over? She took a deep breath, suppressing the anger that had just surged up, and turned back to the door of the consultation room. This time, she found a more secluded spot to sit down and wait patiently.
Time ticked by, and although the announcements kept calling out numbers, the number of people in the corridor didn't seem to decrease; it was still bustling with people. Lin Yue yawned and glanced at the time, feeling really restless. She had been sitting at school all morning, and now she was sitting here all afternoon; her butt was about to protest.
She stood up, feigning composure, and walked towards the door of consultation room number one. Pretending to pass by casually, she would steal a glance inside and see him working intently. Then, she repeated this action, pretending to casually walk past the consultation room door while observing his reaction out of the corner of her eye. She did this several times, each time cautiously stealing a look.
She thought she was hiding well, but little did she know, her disguise was unsuccessful. Her bag did not block Song Yunzheng's gaze. He had spotted her the moment he first looked towards the door. He was puzzled for a second. She had clearly come to see him, yet she was sneaking around in the crowd. He instantly figured out her little scheme. The corners of his mouth under his mask slightly lifted. She liked to play games, so he was willing to play along and let her do as she pleased.
