Chapter 51: The Calm Female Supporting Character and Her Disturbed Brothers...

Jin Suiqing stood in front of the Jingxie Hall, thinking to herself, mission is mission, but the female lead's halo is so strong. She is going to be an empress who will rule the world in the future, and she will have to make a living under people's noses in the future. It's not good to really hurt Huangfu Feng so badly that "his wound is so deep that bone and blood are flowing non-stop" according to the plot. Then there would really be no way to turn back.

Anyway, the dog system mission only requires the female lead to get injured, but it doesn't specify the criteria for injury. Since the person has a blood clotting disorder, be careful.

Jin Suiqing sneaked into the Jingxie Hall, took out the things he had prepared in advance, found Huang Tufeng's toolbox, fiddled with it for a while, and then left.

Everything was ready except for the final touch. Jin Suiqing took a short nap at noon, and then the examiners came to call him.

It turned out that Chai Zixin had come to Jin Suiqing's side in person. He reminded Jin Suiqing, "I watched the whole competition between the princess and Huang Tufeng. The princess's hand speed was excellent, but she was careless. Be more careful in today's assessment, and don't do something as ridiculous as installing the sulfur burner backwards again."

Jin Suiqing nodded hurriedly, thinking that it was probably Jin Shiyu's father who had said something to Chai Zixin, and personally reminded her to be careful before the exam.

Chai Zixin paused, then hesitated and said, "I heard from some classmates that the young princess went to the Jingxie Hall alone before lunch break?"

"Hey, we have eyewitnesses now." Jin Suiqing feigned guilt and said, "I was just thinking about the exam this afternoon, so I checked the tools again before my nap."

Chai Zixin looked Jin Suiqing up and down with disbelief in his eyes.

The sun must have risen in the west today! That silly little princess actually knew to check her exam preparation materials! Chai Zixin nodded with satisfaction, "Well done, go ahead, you'll definitely do well on the exam."

If her earlier apprehension was feigned, Jin Suiqing's current apprehension was genuine. Looking at Chai Zixin's thinning hair, a result of years of torment, she truly embodied the phrase "as delicate as a jade tree."

Then, Jin Suiqing patted Chai Zixin's shoulder and comforted him, "Mr. Chai, you've worked hard. You don't need to suffer like this anymore. Take a good rest."

Amidst Chai Zixin's bewildered expression, Jin Suiqing strode confidently into the Jingxie Hall once again.

She arrived a little late; most of her classmates had already taken their places. When Jin Suiqing got to her seat, she immediately noticed that Huang Tufeng had been seated opposite her again.

Huang Tufeng didn't look at her; he looked down at the toolbox on the table.

Jin Suiqing also looked at Huang Tufeng's toolbox.

According to the plot, the female supporting character installed a spring knife on the lock of Huang Tufeng's toolbox. Whenever she opens the toolbox, the flying blade will cut her wrist; the blade is powerful and fast, and is intended to sever Huang Tufeng's tendons.

The female supporting character, relying on her status as a princess, thought that no one could do anything to her. Huang Tufeng, a nobody, could only swallow her anger and leave the National Academy, wasting her life thereafter.

Such actions are undoubtedly a lucky break. Coincidentally, at the Da Ci En Temple singing festival, the female lead verifies that the sketch is fake and is preparing to return to the Jin family to seize the inheritance. The female supporting character's scheming becomes the biggest help.

Taking advantage of the female supporting character's lack of skill in installation, Huang Tufeng deliberately did not dodge, and the flying blade only cut the back of her hand. The frightening sight of the bleeding attracted the attention of the imperial physician, who diagnosed her with a strange illness and restored her status as a princess, thus officially entering the circle of power.

On the other hand, the female supporting character, who went from being a princess to a household slave, harbored evil intentions and ended up harming herself.

Jin Suiqing wanted to leave herself a way out, so of course she wouldn't go to such extremes.

She dulled the blade and attached a blood pack to the tip. The blade would only make a tiny cut, and the blood pack would cover the bleeding. She completed her task while also doing the female lead a favor—a win-win situation.

Before the exam, the chief examiner cleared out the main table, and a large group of eunuchs and palace maids poured in from the door, carrying chairs and laying out mats. The leader was also an acquaintance. Li Han unfolded the Crown Prince's decree: "His Highness the Crown Prince, by order of His Majesty, has come to the National Academy to serve as a temporary examiner for one day to show his love for his beloved. Everything will be kept simple. Please take the exam as normal."

After the arrangements were completed, everyone left, leaving Li Han to welcome Huangfu Li and Jin Shiyu in.

Before entering, Huangfu Li glanced at Huang Tufeng first, then turned his gaze to Jin Suiqing, covering his face with his fan, and smiled as he mouthed to her, "Little sister, your Crown Prince brother is backing you up!"

The dramatic Jin Suiqing immediately burst into tears, so grateful that she cried uncontrollably, mouthing, "Thank you, Crown Prince..."

Bullshit, what are you pretending for?

Did she come to see you or to spy on Huang Tufeng? The dog prince is still pretending to be a good brother and doting on his fake sister. But later, his real sister will take your life.

She looked behind Huangfu Li and saw that Jin Shiyu hadn't changed his clothes. He had a flower pinned to his collar. Upon closer inspection, she realized that the flower was taken from the bouquet given by Jin Suiqing. The delicate flower paled in comparison to his face.

Jin Shiyu looked at her, raised her fingertips to touch the flower, and gave her a bright smile.

Good heavens, the moment a beauty smiles, the flowers instantly lose their fragrance and beauty, becoming both smelly and ugly! Hearing the girls behind her gasp in shock, Jin Suiqing silently lowered her head.

At this moment and in this place, Jin Suiqing and Jin Shiyu inevitably felt guilty as their eyes met. They could only avoid each other's gazes and keep their heads down, fiddling with the utensils on the table. Naturally, they were unaware of what was happening. The moment Jin Suiqing looked away from him, Jin Shiyu's lips froze.

She waited until Jin Shiyu had sat down with Huangfu Li before looking up again. Jin Suiqing saw him tear off the flower from his collar and was playing with it in his hand.

Jin Shiyu first used his fingertips to tease the flower's heart, causing it to sway and lose two petals. He scooped up the petals and held them tightly in his hand. Then, he used his fingertips to crush the flower stem into tiny pieces. Jin Suiqing was very close to him and could even see the green sap on Jin Shiyu's fingertips.

Kim Shi-ok pinched the flower again and again, bending it over until it hung in the air, unable to straighten up. He finally had enough. He grabbed the flower and kneaded it hard, the rotten juice overflowing from between his fingers, making his hands appear even whiter.

Thus, Kim Shi-ok didn't even think about cleaning up; he clenched his fists tightly and casually rested them on his knees.

The juice was bright red, making his porcelain fingers stand out even more; he had exerted considerable force, and the veins on the back of his hand bulged slightly; his raven-feather-like eyelashes drooped innocently, blinking repeatedly. This sight made Jin Suiqing lose his composure, but he forgot to look away, and Jin Shiyu caught him red-handed.

Kim Shi-ok curled his lips and smiled at her again.

This smile was different; the shadows hidden in his eyes seemed to have become moist, like raindrops splashing out in eddies, swirling and circling around the golden fragments of blue.

He stared intently, making Jin Suiqing's spine tingle and she couldn't help but shiver. She dared not look away any longer, and reluctantly raised her finger and shook it, quietly greeting Jin Shiyu.

The gloom in Jin Shiyu's eyes vanished instantly, and her smile widened. She also imitated the way Jin Shiyu had hooked her finger earlier and greeted her.

Jin Shiyu's temper was truly unfathomable to her. The back-and-forth frightened Jin Suiqing so much that her knees went weak. If she hadn't been supporting herself on the table, she would have knelt on the ground.

Fortunately, Huangfu Li spoke up to show concern for the examinees, diverting Jin Shiyu's attention and giving Jin Suiqing a chance to catch her breath. She clutched her chest and muttered to herself, "Thank you, dear Crown Prince brother, and I wish you a long and healthy life."

Huangfu Li felt an itch on the tip of his nose, paused before he could finish his sentence, and quickly said, "All candidates, please take this assessment seriously. The assessment is about to begin." With that, he covered his face with his fan and sneezed.

The exam has begun.

Jin Suiqing lowered her head, pretending to be focused on the exam materials in her hands, while glancing at Huang Tufeng opposite her. She saw Huang Tufeng finish inspecting the mechanical parts on the table and reach towards the toolbox.

When Huang Tufeng reached the toolbox, he suddenly stopped and looked up at Jin Suiqing.

Jin Suiqing blinked and pursed her lips.

She must have known there was a mechanism in the toolbox.

The system was acting up, and Jin Suiqing couldn't warn him. He could only let Huang Tufeng look over the toolbox, open it directly, and begin assembling the magical artifacts.

Huang Tufeng pondered for a moment and then opened his toolbox.

In an instant, after the extremely faint sound of a spring flying out, Jin Suiqing heard her classmate's exclamation.

The examiner rushed over upon hearing the news. He glanced at Huang Tufeng's face before looking at her blood-covered hands and asked, "How did you cut yourself?"

Huang Tufeng's face turned pale, but his tone remained unusually calm. "I accidentally cut it when I opened the toolbox."

The examiner didn't take her words to heart. Seeing too much blood, he waved his hand, telling her to stop the exam and go see the imperial physician first. Of all the examiners present, only Chai Zixin took it to heart. He quickly put aside his work and wanted to take Huang Tufeng away.

Huangfu Li glanced at Huang Tufeng, listened to Chai Zixin's explanation, and after understanding the truth, he put on a worried and concerned look, told people to treat the injury properly, and to talk about it after the exam. He also sent a personal eunuch to accompany him.

The riots subsided, and the exams continued.

Jin Suiqing put down the parts in her hand. As a magician who cherishes her tools, she thought that it would be bad if the tools were scattered all over the place if things got out of hand. So she slowly began to tidy up her things.

Kim Si-ok mistakenly thought that she was frustrated because she didn't know how to do the test and had given up on it.

Just as he was secretly pleased that his sister had missed a subject and therefore scored even lower, the eunuch who had left with Huang Tufeng earlier disregarded the exam and stumbled back to the Jingxie Hall, nearly knocking over several tables. The young eunuch knelt on the ground with a thud, stammering in panic, "Your...Your Highness, something...something terrible has happened!"

Huangfu Li frowned and said sternly, "Can't you see that the Jingxie Hall is holding an exam right now? How dare you barge in like this? What kind of behavior is this!"

"No...no, I didn't mean to...this is a serious matter," the little eunuch kowtowed repeatedly, his head hitting the ground with a thud, "Just now, just now that student...she...she she she..."

Mentioning Huang Tufeng, Huangfu Li sat up, his expression turning serious. "What happened to that student?"

"That...that...that student's wound wasn't big, but..."

Huangfu Li was slightly annoyed. "What are you dawdling for? Speak up!"

When the young eunuch learned that his life was hanging by a thread, he cried out in a hoarse voice, "But the bleeding won't stop! The imperial physicians can't stop the bleeding no matter what they do!"

"What!"

Startled, the candidates wondered why the Crown Prince had lost his composure and stopped what they were doing, looking at Huangfu Li.

Huangfu Li's face turned deathly pale, and he stood up abruptly: "The bleeding won't stop? The imperial physician hasn't made a misdiagnosis?"

The fact that Lady Huangfu had a blood clotting disorder was a secret, and no one except those close to His Majesty and the Crown Prince should know it. The little eunuch dared not speak in public, and could only nod tremblingly, "The bleeding has been stopped with a special hemostatic powder. Although... although there is no danger to her life, the imperial physician has reported to His Majesty, and His Majesty sent me to summon... to summon you to the Zichen Palace immediately."

Upon hearing the news, Huangfu Li momentarily lost his composure, his pretense vanished, and a sinister glint appeared in his lowered eyes, devoid of his usual gentleness and kindness.

Jin Shiyu felt a sense of foreboding and hurriedly got up and rushed to Jin Suiqing's table, wanting to take her away. Then he heard the little eunuch say, "His Majesty wants you to take the little princess with you."

For a moment, everyone turned to look at Jin Suiqing.

Just then, Jin Suiqing finished packing up her tools and neatly arranged all the items. Without any panic, she calmly walked past Jin Shiyu and approached Huangfu Li, saying indifferently, "Your Highness, let's go."

She was already prepared.

As if it were none of her business, Jin Suiqing remained extremely calm. Before leaving the National Academy, she glanced at everyone.

He didn't dare look at Kim Si-ok.
