Once deemed a useless "Mech-Girl" and subjected to endless ridicule, she obtains an ancient mech core one day.
From then on, she embarks on a journey of growth in a world with both me...
Ye Ling quickly browsed the information in the chip, and a barely perceptible smile appeared at the corner of her mouth.
"Wait, this seems... a little wrong." She raised her head and looked at Lillian with a half-smile.
Lillian's heart tightened, but she still had a fake smile on her face: "What's wrong? Is there a problem?"
"This is a huge problem," Ye Ling said, ejecting the chip with a hint of sarcasm in her tone. "Lillian, are you sure this information isn't from some antique museum? This energy conversion formula has long been obsolete. Using it to design a buffer device, aren't you trying to blow up the entire lab?"
Lillian's face froze. She didn't expect Ye Ling to see through her trick at a glance.
These materials were indeed outdated versions that she had deliberately found, and there were several hidden errors in them. She originally wanted to make Ye Ling look bad in the project, but she didn't expect that she would be able to catch her in the act.
The students around also gathered around and whispered.
Seeing this, Karl quickly stepped forward to smooth things over: "Classmate Ye Ling, Lillian may have just made a mistake accidentally, don't..."
"Accidentally?" Ye Ling interrupted him, her eyes sweeping sharply over Lillian and Carl. "This isn't just a simple mistake. The settings of these parameters are clearly deliberate traps. If we really design according to this information, let alone meeting the performance indicators, we'd be lucky if the furnace didn't explode."
She pointed to several key data on the chip and talked about it, pointing out several knowledge traps hidden in it one by one. Her analysis was very clear and logical, leaving the students around her stunned.
Lillian's face turned from white to red, and then from red to blue. She was filled with shame and anger, but she was unable to refute.
She didn't expect that this seemingly inconspicuous exchange student had such a thorough knowledge of mechas, even surpassing her, the star student of the academy.
Ye Ling tossed the chip back to Lillian, her tone calm but with a hint of warning: "Lillian, next time you think of doing something tricky, it's best to consider your own strength first. Instead of using these petty tricks that are not worthy of being displayed on the stage, it's better to spend more time improving your professional skills."
After saying that, she turned and walked to the workbench and began to redesign the energy buffer device.
Karl's face was gloomy as he whispered to Lillian, "Don't worry, I'll make her suffer during the simulated battle..."
Carl curled up a sneer at the corner of his mouth, walked to Ye Ling, and said sarcastically: "Oh, you have learned theoretical knowledge well, but I don't know how your practical ability is? Do you dare to have a simulated battle with me?" The classmates around immediately started to make a fuss, encouraging Ye Ling to accept the challenge.
Ye Ling raised her eyebrows, a sly look flashing in her eyes: "Let's fight, who's afraid of who? But if you lose, you have to call me daddy."
"Oh, you're quite arrogant!" Karl was irritated by her, his face flushed red, "Let's get started!"
The simulated combat training officially begins.
Carl drove the academy's latest Cheetah mecha and launched a fierce attack right away. Energy shells rained down on Ye Ling's Swift Shadow mecha.
He wanted to end the battle quickly so that he could severely humiliate Ye Ling.
"That's it?" Ye Ling nimbly dodged the attacks while controlling the Swift Shadow mecha, complaining, "Your attack speed is as slow as an old lady crossing the street."
Carl became angry and increased the intensity of his attack. The Cheetah Mech's arms ejected sharp energy claws and pounced towards the Swift Shadow Mech.
"Just in time!" A gleam of light flashed in Ye Ling's eyes, and the core of the ancient mecha started up, and a powerful energy poured into the Swift Shadow Mecha.
The speed of the Swift Shadow Mecha increased instantly, leaving a trail of afterimages in the air and easily avoiding the attack of the Cheetah Mecha.
"What?!" Carl widened his eyes, unable to believe that he couldn't even touch the corner of Ye Ling's clothes.
What shocked him even more was yet to come.
The Swift Shadow Mecha suddenly performed a series of bizarre movements, spinning, jumping, and rolling, as if it was performing a strange mechanical dance.
"What the hell is this?" The students watching were stunned, and even Professor Ava showed a surprised expression.
"Oh my God! How did she do that?" Lillian covered her mouth in disbelief.
Just as everyone was amazed, the Swift Shadow Mecha suddenly appeared behind the Cheetah Mecha, and the energy sword in its hand drew a dazzling light.
"Boom!" With a loud bang, the Cheetah Mech was hit and fell heavily to the ground.
"You lose." Ye Ling's voice echoed in the simulated training ground, "Call me daddy."
Karl's face turned pale and he couldn't say a word.
Ye Ling walked down from the mecha with a smile on her lips.
She took out her communicator and dialed a number...
"Duan Yu, guess what happened to me today?"
Ye Ling called Duan Yu's communicator, her tone tinged with pride: "Guess what I did at the academy today? I beat that guy named Carl in a simulated battle until he called him daddy!"
Duan Yu's deep laugh came from the other end of the communicator: "Oh? Looks like my little loser is finally showing his potential."
"Little waste? Say it again!" Ye Ling pretended to be angry, but her tone was full of sweetness.
"Okay, okay, my Miss Ye Ling is the most amazing." Duan Yu's voice softened. "Tell me the details."
Ye Ling vividly recounted what happened today, from Lillian's frame-up to Carl's challenge, and then to how she turned defeat into victory. Duan Yu sometimes chuckled and sometimes admired her.
"Well done!" Duan Yu praised sincerely, "It seems that the ancient mecha core is becoming more and more compatible with you."
