Nuclear fire has burned civilization to ashes, leaving only bones and blood in the wasteland.
I, Lu Zhaoming, an unlucky soul who transmigrated into the apocalypse, found the 'Doomsday Ju...
As Lu Zhaoming and his group left the grove, the night wind howled, stinging their faces.
He gripped the Blade of Judgment tightly in his hand, the strange power still raging within him, like ten thousand ants gnawing at his bones.
"Hiss..." Lu Zhaoming gasped, feeling as if his internal organs were about to shift.
"This stuff has a really strong aftereffect!" he grimaced, trying to suppress his discomfort.
This is no treasure at all, it's a hot potato!
Su Li glanced at him, her tone tinged with worry: "Are you alright? You look terrible, like you just escaped from the gates of hell."
Lu Zhaoming waved his hand, indicating that he was fine.
"I won't die, but I feel completely drained... I need to find a place to recover." He didn't want his enemies to come knocking on his door in this state, or he would truly be eliminated immediately upon landing.
Bai Yu led the way, turning into a small alley with practiced ease.
"I know a place that's quite secluded and most people can't find it."
After many twists and turns, the group finally arrived at a dilapidated abandoned factory.
The place was overgrown with weeds, dilapidated, and filled with the smell of rust.
"This is it." Bai Yu pointed to a relatively intact room and said, "I used to come here often to hide from pursuers. It's very safe."
As Lu Zhaoming entered the room, a musty smell hit him.
The room was empty except for a dilapidated wooden bed and a few crooked wooden boxes.
"The conditions are a bit poor, but it's better than sleeping on the streets." Lu Zhaoming shrugged, sat cross-legged on the wooden bed, and began to circulate his supernatural power, trying to suppress the violent force.
Just then, a hoarse voice suddenly rang out at the door: "Young man, the energy within you is very violent. If you don't control it, you'll suffer a qi deviation."
Lu Zhaoming suddenly opened his eyes and saw a ragged old blind man standing at the door.
He leaned on a cane, his face was covered in wrinkles, and his eyes were empty and lifeless.
"Who are you?" Lu Zhaoming asked warily.
The old blind man smiled, revealing a few yellowed teeth.
"I am just a blind man who wanders around and makes a living by telling fortunes. I was passing by when I sensed something unusual in your body, so I came to take a look."
Su Li stood in front of Lu Zhaoming, looking the old blind man up and down.
"What can you possibly see if you're blind?"
The old blind man didn't take it seriously and slowly said, "The eyes are the windows to the soul, but the soul is not something that only the eyes can see."
Lu Zhaoming's heart stirred; he could sense that this old blind man was no ordinary person.
"Since you were able to see the problem in my body, you must have a solution, right?"
The old blind man nodded.
"I do have a solution, but it depends on whether you're willing to trust this old blind man."
Lu Zhaoming took a deep breath. His situation was indeed very bad, so he decided to try anything, even if it seemed hopeless.
"Please speak, senior."
The old blind man walked to Lu Zhaoming's side and placed his withered fingers on his pulse.
After a moment, he slowly said, "The power within you is likely a residual effect of the 'Azure Core.' This power is both strong and dangerous; if it gets out of control, it can lead to qi deviation at best, and death by explosion at worst."
Lu Zhaoming was shocked. This old blind man had actually figured out the source of his superpower!
"Then... how do we control it?"
"To control this power, you must first learn to perceive it and understand its operating principles," the old blind man said. "Close your eyes, relax your body, and use your heart to feel the flow of energy within you..."
Lu Zhaoming closed his eyes as instructed and began to meditate, following the old blind man's guidance.
He could feel a blue energy flowing slowly within his body, sometimes as gentle as water, sometimes as violent as thunder.
The old blind man instructed from the side, "Use your mind to guide it, let it operate according to your will... Don't rush, take it slowly..."
Time passed second by second, and Lu Zhaoming gradually entered a mysterious state.
He felt as if he had become an observer, watching the trajectory of energy flow within his body.
Although progress was slow, he was able to barely suppress the out-of-control trend.
Suddenly, Su Li's voice rang in my ears: "What are you hiding from me?"
Lu Zhaoming suddenly opened his eyes and found Su Li looking at him with a serious expression.
"What exactly is the power within you? Why did you suddenly awaken your superpowers?" Su Li pressed.
Lu Zhaoming sighed, knowing that he couldn't hide it any longer.
“I…I might also be a test subject,” he said helplessly. “Before, in the laboratory, I was injected with a drug, and it might have been that drug that awakened my superpowers.”
After hearing this, Su Li remained silent for a long time, her expression constantly shifting.
Why didn't you tell me sooner?
“I…” Lu Zhaoming was speechless.
"I don't know how to say it... and I'm not even sure if I've really awakened a superpower."
Su Li took a deep breath, seemingly trying to calm herself down.
"I don't care if you're an experimental subject or what secrets you have. I just hope you won't hide anything from me anymore."
Lu Zhaoming nodded. "I promise."
Just then, Bai Yu rushed in.
"It's bad, Brother Lu, Sister Su! We've got news from Xiao Dao that the Poison Scorpion's men are searching everywhere for us!"
"They also found out some information about the 'Sky Dome Project'..." Bai Yu paused, his expression turning somewhat grim.
