Nuclear fire has burned civilization to ashes, leaving only bones and blood in the wasteland.
I, Lu Zhaoming, an unlucky soul who transmigrated into the apocalypse, found the 'Doomsday Ju...
Lu Zhaoming and his group carefully traversed the wasteland, like a group of ghosts wandering in a post-apocalyptic graveyard.
A playful smile played on his lips as he deliberately slowed his pace, as if waiting for something.
"Brother Zhaoming, are we... going to play a game of 'catching a turtle in a jar'?" Su Li followed closely behind him, a hint of doubt on her charming face.
Lu Zhaoming smiled mysteriously and lowered his voice, saying, "The real show is just beginning."
Sure enough, not long after, the roar of an engine came from afar, breaking the deathly silence of the wasteland.
A patrol of mercenaries, like sharks that have smelled blood, quickly approached.
"Tsk tsk, these guys have a pretty good nose." Lu Zhaoming chuckled, but his eyes turned cold.
The leader was a burly man with a fierce and menacing appearance, his face full of scars.
It was Big Bear.
He held a huge battle axe, which gleamed coldly in the sunlight, as if he were about to cleave everything in two.
"Lu Zhaoming, you have a path to heaven but you choose not to take it, and you barge into the gates of hell but you choose to walk through them!" Big Bear's voice boomed like thunder, making people's eardrums ache.
"Today is your death day!"
Lu Zhaoming feigned panic and took two steps back, his eyes darting around like a trapped beast cornered against a wall.
"Liu Yan, take them away! Quickly!" he roared in a low voice, his tone resolute.
Upon hearing this, Liu Yan paused for a moment, but he gritted his teeth, grabbed Xiao Die, and led the others to run in another direction.
Seeing this, the bear laughed triumphantly: "Trying to run? Not so easy! Chase after them!"
However, he did not notice the barely perceptible sneer on Lu Zhaoming's lips.
"Brother Xiong, stop chasing! That kid is definitely up to something!" A mercenary whispered in Xiong's ear.
Upon hearing this, Da Xiong frowned and stopped in his tracks. He stared at Lu Zhaoming.
"Lu Zhaoming, what tricks are you trying to pull?"
Lu Zhaoming shrugged and said nonchalantly, "I just want to make a deal with you."
"A deal?" Big Bear laughed as if he had heard the biggest joke in the world.
"What qualifications do you think you have to talk to me about a deal?"
"Just because I know the secret of the white robe," Lu Zhaoming said calmly, his tone carrying a hint of confidence.
Upon hearing this, Da Xiong's expression changed drastically. The contempt in his eyes vanished instantly, replaced by a hint of greed.
"What do you know?" he asked impatiently.
"I think you'd be very interested in a detailed map of the White Robe's resource reserves," Lu Zhaoming said with a smile, like a devil tempting Eve to eat the forbidden fruit.
Big Bear's breathing became rapid, and he stared intently at Lu Zhaoming, as if trying to see right through him.
"Hand it over, and I might let you go." His tone softened somewhat, but it was still full of threat.
Lu Zhaoming shook his head and said, "Tell me where your base is first, and then I'll consider whether to cooperate."
Big Bear's expression became uncertain again.
He knew that once the location of the stronghold was exposed, it would be tantamount to handing his life over to the enemy.
“Do you think I would believe you?” he said coldly.
Lu Zhaoming shrugged and said, "Believe it or not. Anyway, this map is of no use to me."
After saying that, he turned to leave.
"Wait!" Big Bear called out to him hurriedly.
"I can give you a general direction..."
He hesitated for a moment, but finally revealed a vague location: "Deep underground in the abandoned mining area."
Upon hearing this, Lu Zhaoming used the system to quickly analyze the bear's language patterns and, combined with previous clues, quickly determined the exact location of the White Robe Base.
"You think I would believe a piece of trash like you?" Lu Zhaoming suddenly changed his tone, his voice full of sarcasm.
Upon hearing this, the bear became furious and embarrassed.
He felt like he'd been tricked, tricked by someone he'd always looked down on!
"You're asking for death!" he roared, swinging his battle axe at Lu Zhaoming.
Lu Zhaoming was prepared and quickly activated the time delay function.
In his eyes, the bear's movements became incredibly slow, like a sluggish tortoise.
He easily dodged the bear's attack while simultaneously kicking it in the knee.
The bear was in pain, its body swayed, and it almost fell over.
Lu Zhaoming seized the opportunity to snatch the communicator from his hand and quickly browsed the information inside.
"What a useless piece of trash, too lazy to even set a password." He curled his lip.
Through the information in the communicator, he not only confirmed the exact location of the White Robe base, but also discovered that Big Bear had secretly stockpiled a large amount of supplies, attempting to break away from the White Robe and go it alone.
"Interesting. It seems this bear has quite the ambition," Lu Zhaoming said with a smile, already having a plan in mind.
He turned off the time delay function, deliberately slowing down the speed, giving Big Bear's men an opportunity to take advantage.
"Brother Xiong, we're here to help you!" Several mercenaries rushed towards Lu Zhaoming upon seeing this.
Lu Zhaoming sneered, his figure flashing like a ghost, and in a few breaths he knocked them all to the ground.
"Pathetic," he said dismissively.
The bear was shocked by what it saw.
He hadn't expected Lu Zhaoming's strength to be so terrifying.
"Who...who are you?" he asked in terror.
Lu Zhaoming did not answer, but gave him a meaningful look before turning and walking away.
"I hope you live a little longer and see how the White Robe deals with the traitor." He left these words behind and disappeared into the night.
