Nuclear fire has burned civilization to ashes, leaving only bones and blood in the wasteland.
I, Lu Zhaoming, an unlucky soul who transmigrated into the apocalypse, found the 'Doomsday Ju...
That laughter was like fingernails scratching a blackboard, instantly giving me goosebumps!
Lu Zhaoming felt like his brains were about to be shaken out; this was definitely a mental attack!
A slender figure emerged from the depths of the factory like a ghost.
Her white robe fluttered in the wind, making her appear even more ethereal and otherworldly.
"You think these little tricks can fool me?" The white fox's voice carried a hint of contempt, as if he were watching a group of clowns perform.
Before the words were even finished, the surrounding scenery instantly twisted and deformed, like a crumpled piece of paper.
The once dilapidated factory has been transformed into a blood-red inferno, where countless evil spirits roar and howl as they rush towards them.
Holy crap! It's an illusion!
Lu Zhaoming felt a sudden dizziness and his stomach churned.
This illusion is even worse than a hangover!
He forced himself to stay awake by biting his tongue hard, enduring the dizziness.
No, we absolutely cannot be fooled!
"Doomsday Judgment System, activate the Eye of Judgment!" Lu Zhaoming roared in his heart, and a golden light instantly bloomed in his eyes.
The illusion before my eyes collapsed and crumbled instantly, like a canvas ripped open by a sharp blade.
Those hideous demons vanished without a trace, leaving only the ruins of the abandoned factory.
"Pfft!" Lu Zhaoming couldn't help but spit out a mouthful of blood. The power of this illusion was truly not to be underestimated.
"Oh? Interesting." The white fox raised an eyebrow in slight surprise, seemingly not expecting Lu Zhaoming to break her illusion so quickly.
"It seems I underestimated you." The white fox chuckled, but a dangerous glint flashed in its eyes.
She gently waved her hand, gesturing for a simply dressed little girl beside her to come forward.
The girl looked to be only fourteen or fifteen years old. She stood there timidly, holding a short knife in her hand, the blade gleaming coldly in the sunlight.
"Xiao Mei, go test his strength." The white fox's voice was icy, as if he were ordering a lifeless tool.
Xiaomei hesitated for a moment, then raised her head and looked at the white fox with pleading eyes.
But the white fox's face remained expressionless.
In the end, Xiaomei gritted her teeth, drew her dagger, and charged towards Lu Zhaoming.
Her movements were slow and clumsy; it was clear she hadn't practiced much at all.
This isn't an assassination attempt, it's practically suicide!
Lu Zhaoming sighed; he simply couldn't bear to harm such a little girl.
Just as Xiaomei's knife was about to pierce Lu Zhaoming, he suddenly reached out and grabbed her wrist.
"Too slow." Lu Zhaoming shook his head and with a gentle effort, snatched the dagger from her hand.
“You are just a pawn; there’s no need for you to die for the white-robed man,” Lu Zhaoming said softly, his voice low but full of sincerity.
Xiao Mei was stunned. She stared blankly at Lu Zhaoming, tears streaming down her face.
"Are you... are you telling the truth?" Xiaomei's voice trembled, filled with confusion and helplessness.
Lu Zhaoming nodded. He could sense that there was still a trace of kindness in Xiaomei's heart.
"Master, is what he said true? Am I really just a pawn?" Xiaomei turned her head and looked at the white fox with hopeful eyes.
However, the white fox's answer plunged Xiaomei into utter despair.
"Useless thing, since you're useless, then die!" White Fox sneered, and suddenly attacked. A white light flashed, heading straight for Xiao Mei's back.
Holy crap! This woman is absolutely insane!
Lu Zhaoming was shocked. He never expected that the White Fox would be so ruthless that she would not even spare her own disciple.
At the critical moment, Lu Zhaoming rushed forward, pulled Xiaomei behind him, and punched the white fox's attack.
"Bang!"
Lu Zhaoming felt a tremendous force strike him, and he was forced back several steps.
A sharp pain shot through his chest, as if his bones were about to shatter.
"Cough cough..." Lu Zhaoming couldn't help but cough a few times, and a trace of blood spilled from the corner of his mouth.
"Brother Zhaoming, are you alright?" Su Li rushed over and helped Lu Zhaoming up.
"It's nothing." Lu Zhaoming shook his head and wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth.
He turned around, looked at Xiaomei standing there trembling, and said softly, "Come with us. You don't need to risk your life here."
Xiaomei looked up at Lu Zhaoming, hesitated for a moment, and finally nodded.
"Okay, I'll go with you."
Just then, a cacophony of shouts and cries of battle erupted from the perimeter.
"Brother Zhaoming, something terrible has happened! We're surrounded by infected people outside!" Liu Yan's voice came from afar, filled with anxiety.
Lu Zhaoming's expression changed.
Meanwhile, on the outskirts, Liu Yan was leading several team members in a fierce battle against the surging tide of infected.
These infected individuals, like zombies, frantically pounced on them.
Their numbers were so numerous, they were practically endless.
Liu Yan brandished his battle sword, hacking and slashing fiercely, but the infected were like grass, falling one batch and another surging up.
"Damn it, we can't kill them all!" Liu Yan couldn't help but curse, his strength was almost exhausted.
Just then, an infected person suddenly pounced on Liu Yan and knocked him to the ground.
"Brother Yan!" the team members exclaimed, trying to rush over to rescue him, but they were entangled by even more infected people.
Just as Liu Yan was in despair, a green light suddenly descended from the sky and enveloped him.
Those infected individuals who were originally ferocious seemed to be drawn by some force, and their movements became sluggish.
