I'll kill you all!

Zhang Xuehui completely broke down. She threw down the newspaper and, like an enraged mother beast, lunged at Li Juan with bared teeth and claws.

The educated youth already disliked her, and when she made the first move, their pent-up anger exploded instantly.

"You dare to hit someone!"

"Everyone, let's attack together and teach this crazy woman a lesson!"

The situation spiraled out of control instantly.

Several female educated youths rushed up, some grabbing her hair, others tearing her clothes. Although Zhang Xuehui fought back desperately, she was no match for their numbers and was quickly pinned to the ground. Fists and slaps rained down on her, and she could only cover her head, letting out a shrill scream.

In the chaos, Zhang Xuehui, with a sudden burst of strength, managed to push away one of the female educated youths who was pressing down on her.

Caught off guard, the female educated youth screamed and fell backward, hitting the back of her head on the sharp corner of a rock that had been exposed when the ground was turned over.

"ah--!"

A scream made everyone stop what they were doing.

Bright red blood flowed down the back of the female educated youth's head, instantly staining the black earth red.

Everyone was terrified.

Zhang Xuehui was also stunned. She looked at her hands covered in mud, then at the female educated youth lying in a pool of blood, and the color drained from her face instantly.

"Someone's dead! Someone's been murdered!"

Someone shouted something, and the entire educated youth settlement erupted in chaos.

Soon, the village head of the production brigade arrived with several militiamen. Looking at the mess before him, especially at the young woman lying on the ground, seemingly lifeless, his face turned as black as the bottom of a pot.

"What's going on!" the village chief shouted sternly.

"It's her! It's Zhang Xuehui!" Li Juan pointed at Zhang Xuehui, her voice trembling. "She went crazy after reading the newspaper, cursing people and even started hitting people, pushing Wang Li down and causing her to hit her head!"

The village chief walked over to Wang Li and checked her breathing. Finding she was still alive, he breathed a slight sigh of relief. But the look in his eyes as he looked at Zhang Xuehui was icy cold, devoid of any warmth.

"It's you again, you black sheep!" The village chief pointed at Zhang Xuehui's nose, furious. "Instead of doing proper labor reform, you're always causing trouble, and now you even dare to intentionally hurt someone! You're simply lawless!"

Zhang Xuehui trembled with fear, stammering, "No...it wasn't me! They hit me first! I didn't mean to..."

"Still trying to argue!" The village chief ignored her explanation and waved to the militia behind him, "Tie her up! Take her to the police station! This kind of wicked person with vile thoughts and malicious behavior must be severely punished!"

Two militiamen immediately stepped forward, took out hemp rope, and quickly tied Zhang Xuehui up tightly.

The cold hemp rope dug into her flesh, and Zhang Xuehui finally felt a chilling fear. She knew that once she was taken to the police station, her life would truly be over!

"I didn't! I'm innocent!" she struggled frantically, crying and shouting, "It's Su Wantang! It's all that bitch Su Wantang's fault! I'll haunt her even as a ghost!!"

However, her screams and curses only earned her more contemptuous and indifferent looks from those around her.
