They have the same closed eyes and the same small mouths, yet each has its own unique charm.

"That's wonderful..." She reached out and gently touched their soft skin, two tears rolling down her cheeks. They were tears of joy.

She didn't even feel the weakness and fatigue common after childbirth. The spiritual spring water was quietly repairing everything within her.

Outside the delivery room.

Lu Linchuan and Wen Yuzhen had been waiting for almost an hour.

That hour felt like an eternity to them.

Lu Linchuan paced anxiously back and forth in the corridor, each step his leather shoes made on the floor seem to strike his heart.

He kept checking his watch and glancing repeatedly at the closed delivery room door, his forehead already soaked with sweat.

Wen Yuzhen sat on the bench, her hands clasped tightly together, her knuckles white. She was still muttering to herself, her eyes filled with unwavering worry.

"Why haven't they come out yet?!" Lu Linchuan suddenly stopped, his voice hoarse with despair. He couldn't even imagine what had happened inside.

Wen Yuzhen looked up at her son's pale face, and her heart ached.

"Don't rush, childbirth doesn't happen that quickly. It's your first pregnancy, and twins at that, so it's normal for it to take a little longer," she comforted her, but her voice trembled slightly.

The corridor was eerily quiet, with only the breathing of the mother and son, and the pounding of Lu Linchuan's heart.

Suddenly, the delivery room door was pushed open.

Lu Linchuan and Wen Yuzhen sprang up almost simultaneously, like two arrows released from a bow, rushing to the door.

"Doctor! How is my wife?!" Lu Linchuan grabbed the doctor's arm, his voice trembling with urgency.

The doctor's face showed fatigue, but even more so, joy.

"Congratulations, Battalion Commander Lu!" she said with a smile. "Mother and babies are safe and sound! A pair of twins! The older son weighs 7.8 pounds and the younger daughter weighs 6.6 pounds, both are healthy!"

Lu Linchuan swayed, his ears ringing, the doctor's words like a thunderclap exploding in his mind.

Twins (a boy and a girl)?

Are mother and child safe?

He stiffly turned his head to look at Wen Yuzhen.

Tears welled up in Wen Yuzhen's eyes instantly. She covered her mouth, her body trembling with emotion.

"Really? Twins?!" Her voice trembled with tears, yet she couldn't contain her overwhelming joy.

"Really! They're all out! You can go and see!" the nurse said with a smile, carrying two tiny babies wrapped tightly in blankets as she came out.

Lu Linchuan's gaze suddenly fell on the two small figures in the nurse's arms.

His child.

His child with Su Wantang.

He felt a tremendous, unprecedented sense of happiness strike his heart, and his eyes instantly welled up with tears.

Wen Yuzhen rushed over, her hands trembling, and carefully took the baby boy from the nurse's arms.

"Oh my grandson! He's so handsome!" She looked at the baby in her arms who was still whimpering softly, tears streaming down her face, but her smile was as bright as a blooming chrysanthemum.

Lu Linchuan stood frozen in place, looking at the baby in Wen Yuzhen's arms, then at the little girl in the nurse's arms. His throat felt like it was blocked, and he couldn't speak.
